LIVE from the Scotiabank arena in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada.
Presents...
4th Annual Cruiserweight Cup
Day 3
February 2nd, 2022
Pyros go off in the Scotiabank arena as the Halifax crowd comes to life with a noisy ovation to start this evening’s Northern Pro Wrestling show. A camera angle from the arena rafters comes into frame on televisions sets around the world as the pyros shoot from left and right side of the stage of red and white color variations. The Northern Pro Wrestling logo appears in the bottom left part of the screen as a watermark as the camera pans around the arena, getting a full view of the Canada fans.
Crowd signs showing support for the current Imperial Crown Tag Team Champions, the Bastards were littered all over, showing massive support for Rob Riot, Frank Windsor, and Billy Fowler. To the surprise of many, a line of men in the second upper first tier seating were shirtless and had ‘T-I-M-E-L-E-S-S’ written letter by letter on their chests, all of whom appeared tanked already from pre-gaming before the show.
Finally the camera cuts to the broadcast table sitting just in front of the left side of the ramp. To the right of it, we see the smoke rising where the pyros went off and stage crew hands cleaning up as they make like a bandit and get the long strips of pyros moved in a hurry. Rolling out as though on queue, fans begin chanting 'C-W-C' as the Cruiserweight Cup trophy is carted out on it's own special cart and set just behind the broadcast table on the far side of the stage. Frame focuses in on Archie Rude and Blake Samuels, who appear dressed for the occasion in their Sunday best.
Blake Samuels: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Day Three of the 4th Annual Northern Pro Wrestling Cruiserweight Cup!
Archie Rude: What a crowd we have tonight, I can smell them from here. They need to start handing out deodorant at the doors for these things.
Blake Samuels: And there goes our Halifax sponsorship... Anyway, tonight is the final night for these competitors to find their final points in the Cruiserweight Cup. As you can see behind us, the covenant Cruiserweight Cup trophy has been brought out to remind all of these competitors what they are fighting for. Who do you have as a favorite Archie?
Archie Rude: Rob Garcia. My man is in the lead with a firm six points. Blowing away the competition and running the gambit in Block A. Nobody can stop him Blake, not a soul in this whole Cup has a chance. It's Garcia's year to be elevated to Cruiserweight Legend status - and the Cup is going to be the moment that does it.
Blake Samuels: Tonight Garcia has to take on Xialong. Who as we have seen, has friends of a unique kind in that of the Dark Stars. It wasn’t long ago that these two battled it out with Kid Koala in a Corn Maze match on Honor. If I know Xialong, there is no doubt he has not forgotten what went down that Halloween night.
Archie Rude: You mean when the ReVenants showed NPW how they get the job done? Yeah, Xialong wouldn’t know anything about that nor would the Dark Stars. As far as I see it, Garcia is the reigning Cruiserweight champion and nobody in this tournament can hold a candle to him.
Blake Samuels: Strong words from my colleague here tonight, yet he isn’t wrong. The champion is the firm number one seed and that’s going to be a mountain for all the competitors to climb, come the finals. As for Block B we have a tie for first that will be settled here tonight.
Archie Rude: The son of Jay-Jay (unimpressed) takes on Jay Stevens in a match that should tell us what the status of Julius Fristik’s future here in NPW. He has spoke big words about being the next big cruiserweight but I haven't believed the hype Blake. Jules, you're not the man, I'm sorry to say it, but you're just not that guy okay? Don't get me wrong, Julius has a load of potential, but he seems eager to prove to his dad that he belongs in the ring, and that's not the mentality he needs when facing the likes of Jay Stevens.
Blake Samuels: Jay Stevens is a former Cruiserweight Champion. With a win over Lord Dominicus in 2021, Stevens captured the title in glorious fashion. His opponent however seems hungry, determined, and focused. I disagree with my colleague on his assessment, and believe if there is someone to keep your eye on in 2022, it's Julius Fristik. This kid has been vocal on his plans to be the next big cruiserweight to take over here in NPW, and I am excited to see what he does to make that a reality.
Archie Rude: Now moving on to the better part of the show, we have Roy Sorrow and Danny Ray, in what I hope is a blood bath!
Blake Samuels: You’re such a class act Archie, let me tell you. Danny Ray left the NPW audience with a message that has been played over 1.2 million times on YouTube. The man sent goosebumps up my arms with that last line.
Archie Rude: Tonight he has to put up or shut up and Roy Harlowe has a bone to pick since his lost to Neo James Carner. This is one you don’t want to step away from your television sets folks, I mean it.
Blake Samuels: Donzig will go head to head Vincent Wolf and try to thwart the SWAT competitor who has wandered into enemy territory. Don’t think for a moment these two are not familiar with one another, as Donzig too has been seen in SWAT. It was only a matter of time before these two had their go at it in an NPW ring.
Archie Rude: I’m hoping to see Donzig squash that Wolf and skin him in the ring Blake. There isn’t anything that would make me happier. The Scourge is making waves, showing up weeks ago to help Timeless win, and stunning the North American Double Crown Champion Jesse Jamester after their match at the CWA Grand Finale in Las Vegas, back in December. Donzig's stock is waaaaay up, and I don't see that momentum stalling now.
Blake Samuels: Not to forget, Eddie Havok and James Knight will start us off here tonight with their Block B match to determine their standings in the Cruiserweight Cup. A win for Eddie Havok and a loss elsewhere could really change the dynamics for the finals. It’s going to be a wild night! Who will edge ahead tonight and claim their spot in the finals of the Cruiserweight Cup? We're moments away from finding out.
Archie Rude: With that, let’s get to the ring where Markus Morin is ready to get this one started.
Markus Morin: The following match is scheduled for ONE fall and is a showcase for the 4th Annual Cruiserweight Cup Tournament! Introducing first, from Harlow, Essex, England, he weighs in this evening at 208 pounds! Accompanied by the Skulls of Grimm, EDDIE HAVOK!
The cameras start to circle around the arena. "Outlaws and Outsiders" suddenly hit as the lights in the arena drop, with white lights begin to flash violently around the arena to the drumbeat. The ramp starts to flood with smoke, as the words "Grimm Products" in white letters appear across the big screen. A couple of figures appear in the entranceway, dressed in Jean's and a sleeveless Leather Jacket, slowly moving towards the edge of the main stage. Within seconds they are also joined by two more people flanking them until a single figure rises up from the stage with his arms crossed. Wearing black tights, the club logo on the side of the right leg and "Havok" down the left leg. Wear black boots with white shin protectors over the top.
Wearing a long leather jacket, with the club logo on the back. A series of fireworks go off along the top of the entrance ramp. The lights start to adjust back to normal. The single figure walks forward, with the rest flanking him as he starts to walk down the ramp.
Once he reaches the ringside area, he stops and raises his arms outwards and the other members slowly circle the ring stopping at each of the turnbuckles, looking out toward the crowd. Havok slowly and methodically makes his way around the ring, bathing in the reaction of the fans within the arena. Havok enters the ring standing with his arms raised and fireworks go off from the four turnbuckles. Walking over to the furthest turnbuckle and climbs up to the middle rope, staring out across the arena attendance. As his music dies down, Havok takes off his leather jacket and passes it down to one of the club members, before jumping down into the ring. He waits near his corner, pacing back and forth.
Markus Morin: Introducing his opponent, hailing from Montreal, Quebec Canada! He weighed in this evening at 221 pounds, ‘The Purest Wrestler Alive’ — JAMES KNIGHT!
The arena lights are cut, enveloping the entire venue in darkness. From the public address system comes an eerie guitar riff that slowly builds until it unleashes into a hard 80’s rock song. Three bars and the vocals are heard.
From behind the curtain steps a man clad in a long black ring robe with the hood pulled over his head.
The man descends the ramp totally focused on the ring before him. He goes to the steps and slowly ascends them as he reaches the top step he sheds the hood and allows the robe to fall to his feet. He bows his head in a moment of inner reflection, centering himself and reminding himself of the goal. James Knight steps out onto the apron, wipes his boots to show respect to the sacred squared circle before entering through the ropes. He takes a quick lap around the ring before taking his corner where he calmly waits for the bell to toll. The two men eyeing one another up as they know the competition for this Cruiserweight Cup was at the brink. With multiple matches going the distance, and draws in the past night, it was clear decisive wins were needed to make the finals.
Havok stares across the ring as the referee pats him down. James Knight was claiming to be the best of the best in pure wrestling. Eddie appeared to take some gripe with the statement, and it showed in the way his eyes fixated on Knight who stretches on the ropes.
Bell sounds and we are off! Eddie Havok comes across the ring quickly but not running, and snatches James Knight for a tie-up. The two shove one another back and forth, fighting for the advantage, to which Eddie backs James up into the corner. It only lasts a moment as Knight reverses positions and the two go around and around as they tussle the length of the ropes to the center of the ring. Eddie with an elbow attack, Irish whipping Knight across the ring. Eddie springs into action and hits a high float over lariat!
Both men are back to their feet in moments. James Knight shoots for a single leg takedown, executing it perfectly, and taking the leg, manipulating the knee backwards. Havok rolls to his stomach defensively, and Knight reaches for his head, but Havok army crawls towards the ropes, forcing James to jump up to throw his weight on Havok’s back! Havok is stopped inches short of the ropes as an Knight flattens him with a quick elbow splash variation, before locking in a crossface!
Fans are going nuts as the cross face is applied!
ROPEBREAK!
Havok reaches out and with his fingers is easily able to grab the bottom rope, using it to pull himself to the ring apron as the referee tells Knight to break the hold; to which he does. Knight is up, looking on at the Havok on the apron. Taking his time, James heads towards him, reaching through the middle and top rope to grab his hair. GUILOTINE! Eddie quickly grabs James by the neck and drops him on the middle rope, sending Knight backwards into the ring clutching his throat.
Eddie Havok takes to the air, springboarding from the apron to the top rope, launching himself through the air and executing the perfect flying elbow strike to the face of James Knight! Laid out on the canvas, Eddie looks to the crowd, then to the turnbuckle, and without another moment wasted he ascends the turnbuckle. Launching himself at the fallen James Knight, he hits a frog splash from an incredible height, showing the athleticism and aerial assault that wows fans, even if they dislike him. Hooking the leg, Havok goes for the cover!

Shoulder up!
Shocked by the kickout, Eddie rises with a look of annoyance and frustration. Lifting James Knight with him, Eddie hooks Knight in a grapple before hitting the Fall of Havok! The fans are taken back as Eddie doesn’t finish with that, and instead decides to lift Knight back up again… FALL OF HAVOK again! The referee gets ready and Havok goes to hook the leg, but instead lifts Knight back up as he shakes his head. Fall of Havok for a third time! James Knight is out…

The bell sounds as Eddie Havok pushes off the star and puts a boot on his chest. The referee telling him to stop, while Havok tells him to raise his hand. The arm is raised, as Eddie smiles on at the fans who now are split with how to treat him. Love him or hate him, Eddie Havok was making his name known in a big way in Northern Pro Wrestling.
Markus Morin: Winner of this match via pinfall, EDDIE HAVOK! (8:21)
Havok looks on to the 4th Annual Cruiserweight Cup trophy now displayed on the stage, and exits the ring to head towards it. There was no denying that Eddie had his eyes on making that his by the end of this tournament, and cement his name in the history books of Canada's most prominent wrestling company. With a Cup victory, Eddie would have a shot at the Cruiserweight Champion in his pocket, a proverbial ace in his hand, to make his own destiny.
The lights flicker as Eddie's music is cut off. Eddie reaches through the ropes for a microphone.
Eddie: Well that's the brackets stage done! I can live with second place. You see now, I get to move on to the semi finals.
Walking around the ring, Eddie takes the moment to soaking the live crowd's reaction
Eddie: Many of you are asking, why would I be happy with second place in the bracket. After two Time Limit draws. I'm starting to ask the question, is there anyone Man enough to beat me. Well Mr. Knight definitely wasn't up to the job.
Smiling, Eddie waves to James Knight as he staggers back up the ramp.
Eddie: It is just a matter of time now, until I come after that strap that Garcia is currently holding. the North American Cruiserweight Champion, whether it is Garcia or someone else that is holding the Title.
He starts to motion to the crowd, he wants the title. Before leaving The ring and heading backstage.
Markus Morin: The next match is scheduled for ONE-FALL and has a 20-minute time limit! Introducing first from Pevely, Missouri, weighing in this evening at two hundred eighty nine pounds… He is ‘The Man Left Behind’ – DANNY RAY!
"Better of Dead" by Mass of Man rallies through the Scotiabank arena speakers and the fans come to life as the veteran Danny Ray makes his way out, throwing gun fingers in the air as he walks the ramp to the ring. Fans cheer the athlete as others boo him with signs for the challenger, shaking them in his face. A toothy smile and Danny Ray rolls under the bottom rope, gingerly getting to his feet as he paces the ring, soaking in the environment in Canada tonight.
The heavy drums and guitars blast over the PA system speakers like a series of machine gun fire, the light strobing and flashing white and red, through the darkness and decay of light comes Roy “The Sorrow” Harlowe, his face shrouded in a bloody hockey mask. Roy makes swift motions as he comes traipsing through the back curtain with a devious manner about his body language. He slowly circles his way around the stage before he slowly slithers his steps down the ramp towards the ring. As he passes by audience members, telling them how he feeds off their sorrows and how it gives him strength. Roy dismisses the peons as he makes it to ringside.
Markus Morin: Introducing his opponent. Coming to the ring from The Winding Road! He weighed in tonight at two hundred and twenty three pounds – ROY “The Sorrow” HARLOWE!
Roy launches onto the apron in a single leap and bounds onto the apron. Swiftly Roy begins kneeling as he serpentines and slithers over the bottom rope and rolls onto his back. Sitting up and then kicking up in a very fluid motion. Roy circles his hands over his face, removing his bloodied hockey mask and then revealing a menacing twisted grin on his face with a set of wild eyes glaring fiercely into the lens.
Raging like a cajun, Danny Ray rushes across the ring and hits Harlowe hard in the corner as he pulls himself up. Fists reigning down on Harlowe’s dreaded head. Roy attempts to cover up and receives a knee to the gut for his efforts. Danny steps back and hooks Harlowe’s arm, slingshotting him to the opposite corner with authority!
Harlowe hits chest first into the buckles, staggering backwards into the clutches of Danny Ray, who hooks a reverse DDT and drops Harlowe on his knee! Northern Pro’s loyal audience can be heard by the ‘Oooooh’s’ and ‘Aaaah’s’ as this one gets under way. Danny Ray drops a heavy elbow across the upper chest of Harlowe. Getting up right away, Danny Ray drops a knee on the forehead of Roy and rolling through to the ropes. It was all Danny Ray in the early going. Danny Ray picked apart the upperbody and neck area of Roy Harlowe, keeping him grounded with his arsenal of moves.
A running elbow! Rolling out of the way does Harlowe, and Danny hits the canvas hard. Roy takes a moment to rise to his feet using the ropes. Danny is back up and dashes at Harlowe looking for a clothesline! Both men spill over the top rope, hitting the apron with their hips, before smacking the outside mats!
Referee is quick to check both athletes, before sliding in the ring and beginning his count out.

Danny Ray is first to move, rolling over to his elbows and knees.

Danny rolls in himself, saving himself from a count out. Immediately attacking the rising Harlowe, Danny rushing into him with a knee attack! Roy is sent rolling sideways to the center of the ring. Danny walks over to him, taking a moment to catch his breath and reaches down to lift Harlowe by the neck of his vest. Setting Harlowe in a powerbombing position, Danny Ray raises his one hand like a gun and gives a ‘Bang’ gesture before grabbing Roy Harlowe with both arms and heaving him up – PILEDRIVER! Harlowe bounces off the canvas like a basketball, before landing on his back neck to Danny. Hooking his leg, Danny Ray is quick to the cover.

3–Shoulder up!
Danny is not happy with Roy’s tenaciousness, and drives his elbow across his face before hammering him with it repeatedly! Danny Ray looks possessed with his assault, yet Roy Harlowe finds his window and pokes Danny in the eyes! Within nanoseconds Danny’s punches stop and Roy is able to roll him over and return the favor. Shifting the momentum, Harlowe realizes his position and jumps up off Danny Ray, rushing the ropes, Roy comes sprinting back and dropkicks the now sitting Danny Ray right in the chest!
Roy bounces to his feet and surveys the ring before heading to the apron and up the ropes of the nearest corner turnbuckles. Roy comes diving off with a body splash on Danny Ray! The air is driven out of the Man Left Behind, as he has both legs clutched by Roy, who leans all his weight on the chest of Danny for the cover.

Kick out!
Not over that easily, no, Danny Ray wasn’t done for the night. Roy Harlowe shakes his head as he ries, knowing he has to do more if he wants to get the three. The Sorrow waits for Danny to rise, almost predicting his movement, and kick to the gut! Harlowe hits a sitout jawbreaker! Danny Ray is stunned senseless as he staggers back to the ropes. Harlowe rushes forward and stops suddenly, three kicks delivered to the knees and thighs before Roy stomps the foot of Danny Ray and hits the Particle-Plex!
The signature stylin DDT is executed with perfection, and Roy Harlowe wastes no time, slithering back to the nearest corner. His hands reach up for the ropes behind him as he leans forward. Roy Harlowe calls for Danny Ray to rise, almost challenging him to get back up; his tone matches his eyes, showing an almost transe of wanting to inflict pain on his opponent. Crouching down, Roy darts forward moments after Danny reaches his feet. Roy halfway across the ring as Danny begins to turn towards him – Shining Lining! Kick to the gut! Danny Ray counters and hooks Roy’s head, A Drunken Black Out! A DDT for the ages by Danny Ray, who lays there on his back as Roy lays face down next to him.
The fans are getting behind Danny Ray as he begins to rise to his feet. The match was already taking a toll with the physicality these two had dished out. Roy Harlowe was groggy as he pushed himself off the canvas. Danny grabs Roy by the neck and pulls his head up before clutching it and kneeing him in the face!
The first one rocks Roy backwards and with this Danny sprints behind Roy, goes diagonal to the ropes next to him, and comes running sideways as he plants another knee into the temple of the Sorrow! His signature move ‘A Father’s Nightmare’ executed with no remorse for his opponent’s suffering. Roy crumbles to the canvas and Danny looks at him like he isn’t done yet.
Heading to the near corner, Danny Ray stomps his foot and smashes the top turnbuckle pad as he gets the fans involved. The arena is stomping! Roy is trying to get up again and Danny Ray runs at him!
COUNTER! Roy dodges out of the way, spinning around Danny to grab his neck! Danny reverses with a swinging elbow to the chest! Roy is needed in the midsection by Danny and placed head facing down inbetween Danny’s thighs. NO FUTURE! Danny Ray hits the double arm hooked face planting driver, and rolls Roy over for the cover.

DING DING DING!
An upset tonight as the Man Left Behind finds a win over Roy Harlowe in a brutal match. Canada’s audience was swayed with Danny Ray when it started, but found some love for the haggard newcomer as the match went on. Could we be seeing the rise of a new fan favorite?
Markus Morin: Winner of this match via pinfall, DANNY RAY! (14:23)
Standing center of the ring, Danny Ray poses for the victory, showing the fans a little love as he throws a fist up in the air, and the referee grabs his arm to declare his victory. Roy Harlowe lays on the canvas, looking like a crumbled mess from this physical encounter. What transpired tonight told everyone, this was far from over between these two.
Vincent Wolf and Donzig face off in the middle of the ring, with Wolf smirking as he faces off with the sneering self-proclaimed King in the North. The ref calls for the bell, and Wolf goes for a lock up which is quickly reversed by Donzig. The Australian Champ blinks, and is then driven to the mat with an old school take down.
Donzig paint brushes the back of his head to the delight of the watching Steve Awesome, before he gets up. Wolf is not smirking now, and grabs at Donzig to throw him at the ropes. But Donzig ducks under his clothesline, hitting the ropes on the far side before coming off with running knee that sends Wolf falling to the mat. The fans boo, and Donzig shrugs as Steve Awesome laughs on the outside.
Wolf glares at Donzig, and then comes up to grab at his wrist before hitting an arm drag! The fans approve, and he wrenches Donzig's arm backwards bending it. Donzig twists, and reaches for the ropes as Wolf tightens the hold. And Steve Awesome holds up his hands to show he is not interfering as Donzig grabs the rope.
Wolf breaks at the three, and Donzig comes up rubbing at his shoulder with a shake of his head. Wolf comes back in, locking up with Donzig who pushes him back to the corner before breaking at the ref's one! Wolf glares, and Donzig laughs at him before motioning for him to bring it on.
Wolf lunges out going for another lock up, and Donzig presses him back to the corner before breaking again. Patting Wolf's chest, and he steps back.
The fans seem annoyed as Donzig seems content to chain wrestle, as Wolf comes out of the corner circling him. Then Wolf goes in, and Donzig swats him aside before he hits a huge DDT! The fans boo, and Donzig makes the cover.

Donzig breaks the pin, sliding to his feet as he looks down at Wolf who shakes his head.
The Australian Champ gets back to his feet, and throws a punch but Donzig grabs his arm. He twisted it around, tightening the hold as he shoves him drags him towards the center of the ring. Wolf struggles to get loose, and then Donzig breaks the hold before Wolf throws another punch.
Donzig staggers back, and then whips Wolf at the ropes to catch him with a Lou Thez Press on the rebound! The ref calls him off, and Donzig shoves Wolf against the mat before he gets up. He smirks at the ref, shrugging to the laughing Steve Awesome.
Vincent Wolf grabs him from behind, going for the roll up!
1...2...
Donzig kicks out, and then he grabs Wolf for a roll up of his own! Stacking him!
1...
Donzig breaks the pin, sneering at Wolf who comes to his feet with an annoyed look on his face before he shoves the Scourge. Donzig steps back, and Steve winces on the outside as Donzig holds up his hands. But Wolf hauls back and delivers a slap across his bearded face!
The fans pop, and Wolf laughs.
POW!
His laugh ends as Donzig drives a stiff right into his face, the Scourge's good mood seems to have faded as he shoves past the ref to grab Wolf to fling him at the corner. He storms in, battering away at Wolf as the fans jeer. Then he storms back, and then barrels in for an elbow to the face!
Wolf sags, and Donzig drags him out before throwing him at the ropes.
He catches him with a spinebuster, and then runs to hit the middle rope for the Lionsault!
1...2...
Donzig breaks the pin, but this time he is leaning over Wolf to talk trash. The Scourge snarling an angry diatribe at the German. Wolf grabs him, and rolls up for a pin!
1...2...
KICKOUT!
Wolf grabs at Donzig as he rises, and hits a quick German Suplex much to the dismay of the watching Steve Awesome! And then he climbs the ropes, and calls for the Wolf Press!
BUT DONZIG GETS HIS KNEES UP!
The fans are furious, and Wolf rolls around grabbing at his back as Donzig rises with a shake of his head. His eyes blazing with fury as he grabs Wolf, nearly knocking the ref backwards to start delivering chops across Wolf's chest before he grabs him to throw him at the ringpost!
Wolf's shoulder jams home, but even worse Steve Awesome slammed a chair across the side of his head as he was against the ringpost! The Australian Champion sagged against the ropes, and the ref called for the bell as Donzig stared at him. He yanked Wolf backwards, and then planted him with the 25:17!
The fans booed, and the ref was sent sprawling by a shove from Donzig as he was snarling and cursing. Steve climbed in the ring, and he grabbed the limp form of Vincent Wolf to lift him over his shoulders before sending him crashing down to the mat with the SteveKO!
The place was erupting, jeering and booing as Donzig grabbed a mic as Steve kicked at Wolf. He leaned down, grabbing Wolf by the hair as he yelled. 'You scared yet, boy? Huh? You fucking scared? NPW belongs to us now, you son of a bitch! The entire CWA belongs to EMPIRE NOW!'
Donzig threw the mic, grabbing the steel chair to place it around Wolf's ankle before he motioned for Steve to climb the ropes. And he stalked around, shoving the ref again as Steve climbed the ropes.
Steve mockingly took his sweet time, holding up his thumbs and forefingers as though taking aim as Donzig stalked back and forth. The King in the North clearly in a rage, and then--
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
'Take it Easy, Chicken' thundered over the speakers, and the fans exploded as the Bastards ran down the ramp. Windsor leading the charge with a chair in hand, and they were storming for the ring as Steve jumped down from the ropes. He grabbed at Donzig's arm as the Scourge stared at the Bastards, his eyes blazing with fury as Steve pulled him backwards.
They left the ring, narrowly escaping the Bastards who leaned over the ropes motioning them on. Clearly incensed as Fowler checked on the slowly stirring Wolf, and Donzig shoved a few of the security who ran down to ringside to seperate the two factions as Steve tried to talk sense into his stablemate.
Windsor slammed his chair against the apron, yelling as Donzig sneered at him while the fans chanted.
'NPW! NPW! NPW!'
Jamal Williams is being hammered away on by the hulking Moloch, who soon flings him across the cement loading dock to smack against a stack of crates. Jamal went down, holding at his ribs as his partner is hit across the back by double-axe handles from Mormo. Reggie Taylor stumbles, trying to get away before he is thrown headfirst into the steel of the loading dock door with a crash of metal.
He falls down, holding at his head as he twists on the floor. Mormo and Moloch bump forearms, and glare around angrily before they grab Jamal Williams once more. Mormo shakes him, and Moloch snarls at him. He bellows and curses, and then grabs Jamal to slam him face first into the door.
The man goes limp, and then he is spun around with shove before being lifted into the air. The Oblivion Death Squad catching him with a Reality Falls to the cement, and they slide to their feet snarling before Sinclair Godfrey steps forward.
She lifts a hand, and they step back as she looks down at the barely moving Spin Cycle before she absently brushes a hand through her hair.
'This is a warning to the tag teams of NPW, your lives as they have been are over. From now on, this is your life.' A sneer on her pretty lips. 'You will be victimized, brutalized, and humiliated by the Oblivion Death Squad! We are the future, the inevitable, the shadows of things to come! And we will not rest until all of you accept that this tag division belongs to us now.'
Sinclair sniffed, and she folded her arms over her chest as she turned her gaze towards where Reggie was slowly pushing himself to his feet. He held at his ribs, and swore as he saw his partner laid out. Sinclair sighed, pointing and the ODS went into motion.
Mormo grabbed him, lifting him upwards to slam him hard against the door twice. Then he shoved him towards Moloch, who grabbed him before slamming him down through an table stacked with equipment with a choke slam.
Sinclair shrugged, and turned back to the camera. 'See you soon.'

James Knight vs Eddie Havok
James Knight vs Eddie Havok
“LUNATIC FRIIIINGE”
From behind the curtain steps a man clad in a long black ring robe with the hood pulled over his head.
“I KNOW YOU’RE OUT THERE”
The man descends the ramp totally focused on the ring before him.

Rob Garcia vs Xialong
Both men were already in the ring, introductions having just concluded.
The two long time rivals approached each other, and they could hardly have looked more different. Of almost the same physical shape, Garcia was covered in muscles, Xiaolong covered head to toe in his futuristic looking green and black bodysuit. Garcia was clean cut, Xiaolong looked like he’d escaped from some cyberpunk dystopia.
Garcia started the action by slapping Xiaolong hard across the face. Xiaolong responded with a jumping spinning sole butt that doubled Garcia over, and a pele kick that caught him under the chin and flipped him to his back. Garcia tried to get to his feet but he’d gotten knocked to his back foot and his quicker opponent wasn’t going to be forgiving. Xiaolong dropkicked Garcia back into the ropes, ran the far ropes himself and came flying with a straight jump into a satellite headscissor to take Garcia over the ropes and down to the outside! As Garcia again tried to recuperate, Xiaolong hit a low angle thrust kick from the ring apron, and then a rebounding flying cross body off the second rope that sent the two men spilling up the entrance aisle! Xiaolong threw his hands in the air to cheers from the fans.
Garcia was pleading for a time-out, but Xiaolong shut him down with another thrust kick, then threw him back into the ring. A slingshot 450 over the ropes connected, Xiaolong hooked the leg… Garcia kicked out in two. Again Xiaolong pulled Garcia up, whipped him into the turnbuckle and followed him in with a side leg lariat. Across to the other side of the ring, Xiaolong went for the same move - Garcia saw it coming this time, caught Xiaolong out of midair, spun him around and spiked him on the back of his neck with a swinging sheer drop backdrop. Trying to get his pins back, Garcia easily picked Xiaolong up by the neck and threw him into the corner. Punches, elbows of different sorts, a couple knees, Garcia just unloaded a brutal barrage of strikes on Xiaolong. He then hooked him around the waist for a high overhead belly to belly suplex.
Having weathered Xiaolong’s initial surge and gotten back in the match, Garcia’s inner swaggering bully ventured out to play. The fans were hating every minute of it as he twisted Xiaolong up into a half crab variant that looked more complicated than painful (not to say that it didn’t hurt). He dropped the hold as it appeared Xiaolong was about to counter out, then went after the arm in much the same fashion. Xiaolong, however, not above playing dirty himself fishhooked Garcia’s mouth and used that to power his way back to his feet! A quick series of kicks had Garcia wobbling, but a knockout roundhouse aimed at the head missed. Another spike back drop from Garcia, and after this one he jumped in the air and landed on Xiaolong’s chest with both knees for a pinning combination! ONE… TWO… and Xiaolong kicked out at 2.5.
Garcia pulled Xiaolong back up to his feet and hit him with a side suplex to place him parallel to the turnbuckle. He climbed, decided to showboat before he came off with the Overdose (corkscrew moonsault) - and Xiaolong got the knees up! Xiaolong rolled under the ropes to the apron while Garcia clutched his ribcage. Xiaolong vaulted the top rope and clobbered Garcia on the back of the head with the Dragon TNT (springboard Ghetto Blaster)! Garcia weebled and wobbled comically without falling down. Xiaolong hopped to the top rope, and leaped off, looking for the DND! He had it aimed perfectly - but Garcia managed to somehow catch Xiaolong just before he hit the mat. He powered Xiaolong back up and planted him with a powerbomb! With a cocky laugh, Garcia stood over Xiaolong, gloating. He then decided to mock Xiaolong’s martial arts prowess, flailing his arms around while making kung fu noises. Then he went up in a crane pose.
Xiaolong picked that moment to fire back to life. He rolled Garcia up in a schoolboy and rolled through it himself - the single leg grip made him able to turn it into a cradle! ONE… TWO… THREEKICKOUT? Did he get him?
YES!
The referee called for the bell as a disbelieving Garcia sat on the mat. He argued that it wasn’t three, but the referee’s ruling was final - Xiaolong had upset his old rival while said rival was the reigning NPW Cruiserweight Champion!
Garcia was irate, but the fans were delighted as Xialong celebrated his way up the entrance aisle.

4th Annual Cruiserweight Cup Match
{Block B}
30-Minute Time Limit
Julius Fristik vs Jay Stevens
In what might be the most anticipated match of the tournament - two second generation superstars are set to collide. Stylistically, one could argue that these two share similarities. Both are savants on the ground, and when the situation calls for it, both are willing to take flight and put their bodies at risk. In a match with this much riding on it, one might expect anything and everything to be in play. The winner of the match will advance to the final four of the tournament, while the loser would go home. Should this match end in a draw, then we would have our second three way tie of the tournament which is unprecedented.
The fans have always shown their loyal support to Jay Stevens, as he has stood by them on many occasions. Whenever Northern Pro has needed someone to step up and fight the good fight, Jay Stevens has volunteered himself. Sometimes, against long odds - but his loyalty to the promotion and the fans can't be compromised. Whether it was The Syndicate, Bloodline or anyone who stood in front of him, Jay hasn't ever taken a step back.
Julius Fristik was thrown into the fire in many ways thanks in part to who is father is and the life he leads. Julius nearly suffered a career ending injury last year, and has fought his way back into ring shape. He defied doctors and his naysayers and here he is - on the cusp of greatness. He has a victory and a draw to his name, yet to be defeated in Northern Pro Wrestling.
The bell sounded and instantlythe crowd roared and stood to watch these two men wage battle. Quick collar and elbow tie up which Julius got the better of and shoved Jay to the mat. Jay got to his feet right away and in a sudden flurry, both men started exchanging right hands in the middle of the ring.
RAAAAAAAHHH!!
It. Was. ON!
Jay adjusted to knife edge chops and lit up the chest of Julius as he used them to back Julius up to the ropes before whipping him across the ring. Jay jumped and took Julius over with a hurricanrana!
1
2! NO
Jay senses that he might need to end this match quickly.
Both men scrambled to their feet, but Jay's speed came into play and he was one step ahead of Julius, who he caught with a clothesline! Julius didn't appear too phased and he popped right back up only to be flattened again with a second clothesline! A dropkick from Jay came next and Julius backtracked into the corner of the ring where he ate a charging double knee from Stevens!
Julius stumbled from the corner into a T-BONE Suplex!
Perfectly executed! Jay crouched down, forgoing the pinfall attempt, instead deciding to lay in wait. Julius was dazed, but finally got to his feet and out of sheer instinct back-peddled away from the middle of the ring.
Julius had his weight on the back foot, Jay hooked him up in a vertical suplex position before lifting him up delivered a SNAP Brainbuster in front of the corner! Could Jay be setting himself up for an attempt from the top rope? Why not, it's time to pull out ALL the STOPS!
Jay headed up to the top rope, but Julius rolled to the outside to avoid taking what would have inevitably been a High Impact Move.. The fans were mixed, as some saw it as a smart exit, to avoid a catastrophe - while others were disappointed that jay was unable to capitalize.
Julius took his time to shake the cobwebs, and Jay seemed to want the match to continue inside of the ring, so he waited for Julius to come back at his leisure. Jay's sportsmanship seemed to cost him, as Julius came back into the ring with ap lan and then the two locked up against. Julius went low and secured a single leg take down before keeping the ankle and trying to twist it right off of Jay's leg. Jay was in pain, but grabbed the bottom rope rather quickly to break the hold. When Jay stood back up, Julius blasted him with a running YAKUZA kick right in the middle of the stream area that Floored Jay.
Jay took a moment to catch his breath but no rest for the wicked as Julius was on him working side position and looking to secure a shoulder lock. Jay is well versed on the ground and his instincts kicked in. Jay was able to somehow sweep Julius and scramble into his guard. Jay was looking for an opening to unleash a few open handed strikes, but Julius reached back and grabbed the rope - once again forcing a break.
Quite the chess match early on.
The referee was about to check on Jay, but Julius saw the chance and ran forward and blasted Jay with a running forearm strike. Julius looked around as Jay was on the mat, and now it was time for Julius to stalk Jay, who held his jawas he rolled away from his opponent.
Julius backed Jay into the corner where he landed some stiff knife edge chops!
WHOOO!
WHOOO!!
Julius then executed a bulldog and connected right in the middle of the ring! Julius ran forward and dropped a precise elbow to the back of Jay and then dropped down and forced his knee into the small of Jay's back before grabbing his neck! What a stretch hold!
Jay was in pain, but was fighting it! Jay was able to break Julisu's finger lock, and roll out of harms way, but the damage was done. Julius was in the driver's seat that much was clear up until this point of the match.
[The Fans Started to Stir.]
It was noticeable. So much so, That Julius turned his head to see what was going on.
["Timeless" Alex Turner & Roxy]
BOOOOOOO!!
We watched as Timeless and Julius ended up in the same hospital after Timeless was bitten in the arse by a croc. At the same time, Julius was recovering from a vicious attack laid upon him and in the end stage of his recovery.
We also watched as Timeless and Roxy took the time to watch Julius in action on the first two days of the tournament. It's clear they've been keeping tabs on his progress and have now decided to make a personal appearance for the world to see.
As you might expect, their presence was a brief distraction for young Julius who wasn't sure if he should be smiling, or if he needed to have eyes in the back of his head should Timeless and Roxy have something more sinister in mind.
Just a glimmer of hope was all Jay Stevens needed to fire up and fight back. When Julius returned his full attention to the ring, Jay was ready for him. Julius wasn't expecting it, but out of nowhere - there it was.
BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!
Jay Has defeated many opponents with this move! But would he do so now? Julius looked fresh, but he caught him clean.

[Timeless puts Julius' foot on the bottom rope!]
[Roxy yells to the referee about it.]
[The ref sees it.]
[Rope Break!]
BOOOOOOOOOO!!!
At that every moment, Timeless has his back to the ring and appears to be signing an autograph for a fan in the front row?! The nerve! The referee had no choice but to call for the break!
The match continues, as Jay looks to follow things up, but Julius has his wits about him and is ready to trade shots if that what it comes to.
WHAT'S THIS!?!
RAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
[The Murder Lizard.]
[The Canadian Nightmare.]
[The North American Double Crown Champion.]
[Jesse Jamester.]
The fans are about to come unglued. Jesse walks with purpose and he heads right over to Timeless and Roxy where an argument ensues. It's clear that Jesse is questioning why Timeless is here, and what his motives might be with his son.
Julius clips Jay with a running up kick that knocks him to the mat. Julius then turns around to see what is happening on the outside of the ring. Julius isn't happy. He said his Dad promised he would stay out of his business, and this was a sign that Jesse was breaking his promise.
Jesse isn't acknowledging hids son, and instead keeps his eyes totally focused on Alex Turner, who has a smug grin plastered all over his face. Roxy gets in Jesse's face and spouts off at him.
This isn't going well, as three of Northern Pro's finest officials make their way out from the backstage area to break up the confrontation on the outside of the ring.
Meanwhile, Julius finally turns his attention back to the ring, and Jay Stevens is ready for him - but still recovering. Julius presses forward, seeing red after what he just witnessed outside. It's almost as if he sees his own father standing in front of him. Blind rage is simply that, and once it's clear that Julius has lost his focus - it's something that Jay Stevens has seen in the past, and something that he prides himself on.
Don't Lose Your Composure.
NORTTHERN LIGJTS SUPLEX FROM JAY STEVENS!

Markus Morin: Here is your winner and ADVANCING TO THE SEMI FINALS - Jay Stevens! (9:39)
Jay kipped up and appeared loose and ready to go another few rounds. He exited the ring, and looked over at the melee that was taking place at the otherside. Jay shook his head, and decided not to let that situation take away from his performance in this tournament and the momentum he just secured heading into the final 4. The fans in the arena were happy to see their hero emerge victorious. Like a true pro, Jay accomplished what he had set out to do, and left the ringside area without incident.
Meanwhile, Julius was in the ring and it looked like his heart had been broken into a million pieces. He lost the match and a chance to advance - but he also felt as though his father had broken his promise.
The referees had finally separated Jesse and Timeless from one and other. Jesse looked to the ring, seeing his son in pain, but he wasn't able to reach him. The referee's felt this situation was too volatile and would ultimately take away from the 'completion' aspect of the Cruiserweight Cup.
One can only imagine where things go from here. But something tells me were fixing' to find out sooner rather than later.
One final shot of Julius on his knees in the ring heartbroken - with a quick cut to Jay Stevens giving one final salute to the crowd before disappearing backstage.
