The following event will take place on Wednesday March 16th, 2022 - LIVE from the Scotiabank arena in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Main Event
CWA World Heavyweight Championship
No Time Limit
Chris Card (c) vs. Jay Stevens
Chris Card is coming back to Eastern Canada for the first time since he captured the CWA World Championship this past December. Since then, Card has made championship defences in BRAVE and SWAT respectively. Waiting to welcome him back to Northern Pro - is the winner of this year's Cruiserweight Cup; Jay Stevens. Jay took the opportunity to call his shot as Gus Arnold stood alongside of him in the ring after presenting him with the Cruiserweight Cup. The fans have always believed in Jay - even when it sounds like he has been riddled with self doubt. Chris Card believes he can do no wrong in Canada, and that his fandom stretches from coast to coast. Based on what we've seen over the past two years, the NPW faithful are likely to stand alongside of the challenger. Two of the best technical wrestlers on the planet are set to lock horns for the richest prize in our industry.
North American Double Crown
No Time Limit
'The Canadian Nightmare' Jesse Jamester (c) vs. 'Timeless' Alex Turner
This collision was bound to happen sooner or later. It's well documented that Alex Turner has been clamouring for a bout against the Canadian Nightmare for awhile now. As luck would have it, JJ's son Julius spent time in the hospital at the same time as Alex Turner was nursing injuries to his rear-end. Both of these men have been staples at the top of the card for the pst year, and both believe that their lead the charge of the promotion in their own unique ways. Will Julius Fristik sit idly by? Has the relationship between father and son been mended? Will Jesse Jamester allow for his emotions to get the best of him? So many questions still need to be answered. But, like all things in Northern Pro - we settle it inside of the ring.
Imperial Crown Tag Team Championship
No Time Limit
The Bastards (c) [Frank Windsor & Rob Riot] vs. Empire [Donzig & Steve Awesome]
-
Talk about stealing the show at the Cruiserweight Cup. These four men were involved in a fight that was as hard-hitting and brutal as we've seen in this company. Empire was able to steal a victory, and have no positioned themselves as the number one contenders for the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships. This time, the match will be contested under regular tag team rules - and the winners will walk away with the Tag Team Championships in tow. Heated words were exchanged, and this rivalry has been totally ramped up over the past few weeks. Grab your popcorn, this one has match of the night potential written all over it.
Northern Openweight Championship
No Time Limit
Ronnie Long (c) vs. Dusty Griffith
HOSS FIGHT! Two men from the same era who have crosssed paths in their respective pasts will do battle for the Northern Openweight Championship. Ronnie Long has proven he can go toe to toe with anyone, and is enjoying a strong reign as the current champion. Dusty Griffith has made a splash since signing his contract. A semi-final finish in the CWA World Championship, A Main Event Victory in BRAVE as well as an undefeated record in Northern Pro Wrestling. Suffice it to say, Dusty has earned this opportunity. Who will rise to the occasion?
North American Cruiserweight Championship
No Time Limit
Eddie Havok vs. Xiaolong
Rob Garcia injured himself during the Do or Die match at the Cruiserweight Cup and is expected to miss an extended period of time. As such, Gus Arnold believes the show must go on, and he stripped Garcia of the North American Cruiserweight Championship. Xiaolong holds two recent victories over Garcia which ensures his inclusion in this match to crown a new champion. Eddie Havok has been on a massive run of late which culminated in a 2nd place finish at this year's CWC. Both men would make worthy champions, and both men now have the chance to make history. Only one man will walk out with the gold. Who will it be?
