- Eric Dane is still the Canadian Commonwealth Champion after defeating Oxford Osland in a thrilling bout at XHF's Night of Champions. We have been attempting to reach Mr. Dane for comment, but thus far we have been unsuccessful. We will update you with the latest once we're able to secure a time and place to have a discussion with the Hall of Famer.
- Gordon Carlson made Northern Pro Wrestling proud with his performance at Overheated, and most recently Night of Champions. Gordon was taken out by eventual winner and new X*Crown Champion; Rob Arnold. Arnold executed a nasty 'curbstomp' on the concrete floor to eliminate Carlson from the match. Due to this, our medical team won't clear Gordon to compete for at least the next 30 days. As such, Gordon will have to miss the August on the Atlantic show as a competitor, but we are hearing rumors that he will be in attendance to address a few things in regards to his future plans in professional wrestling.
- The beneficiary of Carlson's inability to compete at the moment was Lynx. The charismatic international talent was thrust into a precarious position at the last show and played a massive role in the outcome of the main event. If we were to take a deeper dive, it could be said that Lynx was able to soil Bloodline's plans at every turn, as they looked to use the numbers game to their advantage. Hot of the heels of his debut and based on how his performance unfolded, Gus Arnold decided to put Lynx in a match with Santiago Ortega. Ortega was responsible for taking Gabriel Blight out of action, and has been chomping at the bit to showcase his skills in NPW. This match is now official for the August on the Atlantic Supershow.
- Speaking of making an impact, Joe Ghaven and Ethan Mills definitely fit the description. After Henri Bryndisarson disposed of Rudy Palmateer, the undefeated grappler spoke about how he wanted some 'bigger challenges' in Northern Pro Wrestling. Look no further than the 400 pound 'Iron Bear' who looks the part of an absolute beast. Ethan Mills certainly enjoyed the air time, and the fact he has a mountain of a man walking behind him allows him to strut his stuff with little resistance. Who will emerge victorious in this match that was signed for August on the Atlantic? Tune in and find out.
- Dusty Griffith stood tall at the end of the main event of our last show and exacted a measure of revenge against Bloodline, who seemingly had his number for the majority of 2020. Griffith has taken to the fact that he is working alongside KUMA, and he believes their team has infinite potential. Gus Arnold seems to agree, and with Gordon Carlson unable to compete, KUMA & Dusty will now have an opportunity to win the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships from Bloodline. The major wrinkle in this scenario is the inclusion of the Shooters Club. KUMA's former outfit have been in and around the top of the tag team division since it's inception, and are poised to play spoiler in the upcoming triple threat Main Event on Day 1 of August on the Atlantic.
- Speaking of Dusty Griffith, word is that the International superstar has been an ambassador for Northern Pro Wrestling in Japan. Dusty has connections in the 'Land of the Rising sun' after being billed as one of it's top Gaijin stars for nearly two decades. Dusty as put Gus Arnold in touch with the brass over at BRAVE. Word is that a potential working relationship between the two promotions could be on the cusp of existence.
- Lee Stevens has definitely earned his hero card in NPW thus far. Lee was quick to the aid of Gabriel Blight at the last event, and has seemingly won his way into the hearts of the NPW faithful. Stevens earned a strong victory over Reggie Taylor, and walks into his grudge match with Zeze Taborda with some momentum. Taborda and Stevens are still looking to settle the score after both falling short in the Battle Royal over a month ago. The special stipulation for his contest is that a pinfall is able to take place anywhere along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, should the match move in that direction. This situation is definitely something worth monitoring.
- What a debut it was for Solomon Graham. The Canadian Superstar answered Willard Manchester's open challenge, and seems ready to remind the wrestling world of his place atop of the food chain. Graham is signed to the FullMetal Wrestling Alliance, but has hinted that he might consider taking future bookings within Northern Pro Wrestling. With Graham's star power in tow, his presence bodes well for NPW's expansion throughout Eastern Canada.
- Speaking of Willard Manchester, the former North American Crusierweight Champion seems to be at a crossroads in his career. While he has obtained considerable success over the past couple of years, but has fallen short in his attempts to regain his coveted championship. Liam Beesley approached him at the last event looking to impart some wisdom to his former tag team partner, but it fell on deaf ears. Manchester seems intent on continuing to forge his own path in the world of professional wrestling.
- Finally, there is a bit of mystery surrounding one of Northern Pro Wrestling's entrants into the 'All That Glitter' event which is being held in over a month. Speculation is running rampant about who this mystery entrant will be. We will continue to monitor the situation and as soon as we have the proper intel, we will share it with the masses.
Until the next time.
