- The news of a working relationship between Northern Pro Wrestling and The Empire Wrestling Federation has been the talk of the wrestling world since it was announced last night. Gus and Dennis believe that there is ample opportunity to use this partnership as a means to elevate their respective roster to new heights with an increased amount of visibility, while also creating exciting inter-promotional matches. As we know, The Empire Wrestling Federation will be well represented at the Cruiserweight Showcase, as 'The Latin Lover' Carlito Rodriguez, and 'The Unbalanced' Lou Natic will compete against Reggie Taylor and Myles Alexander respectively.
- Lee Stevens has been the ideal employee since touring Northern Pro Wrestling throughout the summer. We just received word that due to prior commitments, Stevens will be stepping away from Northern Pro Wrestling for the foreseeable future. We wish Lee all of the best in whatever journey lies ahead for him. With that being said, Danuwaanhili will now wrestle Jamal Williams (1/2 Of Spin Cycle) at the Cruiserweight Showcase. Jamal has put together a few strong strong performances in singles action in 2020, and looks to continue that trend at the Cruiserweight Showcase.
- We're hearing rumours that former XHF Tag Team Champions have their sights set on signing a contract with Northern Pro Wrestling. While we can't confirm this at press time, we've been told that this situation is fluid and in the developmental stages. We're told that if this signing happens, it will be a game changer for NPW.
- Gordon Carlson was treated at a local hospital after being blasted by the Mechanical Hand go 'Timeless' Alex Turner at the August 26th event. Sources say that Carlson had to have his jaw wired shut for two weeks in order to reset his jawline. After having to sit on the sidelines with a concussion after taking 'Shattered Ice' on the concrete floor from Rob Arnold - Carlson is now back on the IR in his first contest after the fact. After reaching the highest of highs, Carlson has had a couple of unfortunate breaks go against him which have cut his momentum. We do know that he's still looking to secure a match with Eric Dane, but as of today that still appears to be a long shot.
- Lynx took exceptions to Timeless' actions at the last event, and went as far as to call him out publicly about it. This is definitely a situation to monitor, as Lynx has a massive Number One Contedership match against Solomon Graham, and Alex Turner has gone on record to state that he plans to be in the building on September 4th. Fireworks could be afoot.
- The REAL Lord Dominicus seems to have taken exception to the fact that he wasn't booked at the Cruiserweight Showcase event. We can't confirm if this was an oversight, or a blatant exclusion. Based on his recent comments, it's safe to say that The REAL 'LD' might have a plan in motion, as he looks to insert himself into the action with or without the consent of Gus Arnold.
More news as it develops.
