We watch as the Canadian Commonwealth Champion; Eric Dane aggressively slams the door of his rental car. Dane walks through the backdoor with purpose, and starts questioning NPW staff in regards to the whereabouts of Aaron Vasquez. Unfortunately for Eric, nobody seems to know. Eric doesn't buy it, and he turns up the heat by kicking down locker room doors, hunting for the man that was inherently responsible for his Team Danger brethren getting stomped in premeditated attack by Oxford Osland and I-69.
Based on what transpired at the start of the show, it's clear that Osland paid a healthy sum to Vasquez for his services. This wasn't the first and only time that an arrangement such as this had been forged between the two of them. At 'Crowning of a Champion' in December of 2018, Osland enlisted Vasquez's services to ensure his own smooth path to the finals of the tournament. Fast forward 18 months, and Osland's pockets seem to be deep enough to 'hire' Vasquez to do his bidding.

Eric Dane kicked in the door where the french tag team were in the middle of some conditioning exercise. They were perturbed by Dane's insertion into their personal locker room, so they lunged at him, only to both be knocked out swiftly by a spinning back fist, followed by a jumping knee strike. Dane made a gesture that knocking both men out-clean made him feel better - but it wasn't enough for him to put an end to his hunt.

Ralph Erickson and Gordon Carlson could be seen entering the building together. After months of struggling to find common ground, it seems as though their tussle with Zeze Taborda and Andrew Brookes was enough to bring these two family members back together. We could overhear them discussion strategy, before they were interrupted by Gus Arnold. The owner of Northern Pro Wrestling welcomed both men to the arena. Gus mentioned that Ralph had a major opportunity tonight, and he was certain that he would be giving it his best effort. Gus then asked if he could see Gordon in his office for a few minutes.
Gordon told Ralph that he would catch up with him later, as this obviously seemed important.

Battle Royal
A Future Championship Match At Stake
No Time Limit
Andrew Brookes vs. Ralph Erickson vs. Gabriel Blight, vs. Zeze Taborda vs. KUMA, Malek Fredericks, Lance Romance, Santiago Ortega, Lee Stevens, Henri Bryndisarson & Callum Ross
--
The athletes walked to the ring one by one to signify the commencement of the match that has been talked about for the past few weeks. Finally, 11 of the best wrestlers in Northern Pro Wrestling were going to scrap it out, to stake their claim to a future championship opportunity. This was the type of match where friendships might be forged, new enemies would surface.
The fact that there were two members of the Shooters Club, and a third in KUMA who's affiliation was still somewhat unclear, it would pose the question whether that would be enough to carry them through to the last two standing.
Andrew Brookes and Ralph Erickson found themselves at odds early in the bout, as Erickson was looking for some measure of payback against Brookes due to his insertion into his Canadian Heritage Championship match against Gordon Carlson a few weeks back. Zeze Taborda and Gabriel Blight were slugging it out early on with Taborda gaining an early advantage. As Callum Ross looked to navigate the ring, he was cut off by Fredericks and Romance - and they started to beat him down 2 on 1. This brought KUMA over, to break it up. KUMA and Ross were training together Gus' warehouse during COVID-19, and it's clear they forged a respect for each other after countless hours of sparing.
This caused Fredericks to question KUMA's loyalty to the group. It was clear that KUMA wasn't interested in carrying on with their under-handed ways any longer. At which point Romance and KUMA locked up, while Ross and Fredericks Started to throw bombs at one and other.
HB and Lee Stevens were jostling for position, as both men bring a wealth of experience to this match, and surely were looking to eliminate the other early on as both viewed the other as a threat.
Santiago Ortega was calculated, and did he best to blindside whomever he could, as he didn't have a dancing partner early on, as a lot of the match ups had been decided. This seemed to suit Ortega's strategy just fine, as he was able to save his energy, while inflicting damage. He blind sided Gabriel Bright, and nearly took him over the top rope with the help of Zeze. Bright fell to the apron, but his feet didn't touch the floor. Int the scuffle, Ortega thought he had eliminated Bright, so he tried to sneak another elimination in, but tossing Taborda over the top, but it was blocked.
Bright crawled back into the ring unscathed, and got himself back into the mix. Bright paired off with Ross, and the battle between the two young warriors was 'piping hot'. The type of exchanges that would've brought a crowd to their feet, as the passion exuded by both men was evident.
Much to surprise of everyone, KUMA was the first man eliminated from the bout. The Canadian Grizzly who should be feared by anyone in a 1 on 1 contest was eliminated with Andrew Brookes, Malek Fredericks and Lance Romance! The three men were successful in dumping KUMA onto the arena floor after a thirty second struggle.
KUMA Was Eliminated by Brookes & The Shooters Club (6:12)
Having caught the action from the side of his eye, Callum Ross ran at Brookes, and the two european grapplers went at it, with Ross looking to avenge the 3 on 1 that KUMA just experienced.

[Eric Dane.]
Dane is still searching the backstage area. Gordon Carlson exits from Gus' office after their conversation earlier in the night - to which Dane reared back about to strike, until he realized it was Gordon Carlson and not Aaron Vasquez. Although slightly late, Carlson put his hands up to defend, expecting Dane to follow through. Once Carlson realized that Dane wasn't going to strike him, the two men stood chest to chest, eye to eye.
Dane then asked Carlson if he had seen Aaron Vasquez anywhere. Gordon responded that he hadn't, and that if he did, he would let him know. That answer seemed to suffice, as Dane brushed past Carlson, as the two walked in opposite directions down the hall.
[Back to the ring.]
--
Just as we made it back to full screen mode, Lee Stevens blistered Lance Romance with a running knee strike. The shot wobbled him backwards near the ropes, where Stevens finished him with a running clothesline, that sent him ass over tea kettle down to the concrete floor.
Lance Romance was Eliminated by Lee Stevens (9:28)
Henri did his best to cut Stevens off, and nearly dumped him over the rope, but Stevens was able to gather his wits before Henri could execute the blindside elimination.
Gabriel Blight was taking the fight to anyone and everyone, and looked truly impressive in the NPW debut. He was having success in the corner, working over Ortega, when Zeze Taborda stuck his nose into their business and stopped Bright from eliminating Ortega. A two on 1 would soon follow, but it would be Ralph Erickson who stepped in and fought side by side with Bright, and turned back the initial flurry from Taborda and Ortega.
The sequence transitioned into Blight executing a nasty jumping front kick that caught Ortega in the chest. The impact elevated him and shot him towards the ropes. As Ortega's feet hit the ground, Blight rushed forward and clotheslined Ortega over the top rope!
Santiago Ortega was eliminated by Gabriel Blight (11:44)
The battle royal was down to 8, and the action continued to escalate. It was at the point where certain wrestlers were trying to pace themselves to keep their gas tanks as full as possible. Lee Stevens and HB had finally paired off elsewhere, as those two were going at one and other from the outset of the match. Erickson and Taborda never seemed to be far apart, while Callum Ross and Gabriel Blight seemed to be in the middle of just about everything - good or bad.
The next elimination was at the hands of Andrew Brookes, who had locked up with Malek Fredericks, Brookes was able to side step an attack from Fredericks, and hip toss Fredericks over the top rope. Fredericks did his best to stay on the apron, but a roaring back elbow smash to the jaw was enough for Malek to drop down from the apron and crumble to the floor.
Malek Fredericks was eliminated by Andrew Brookes (13:27)

[The camera's pick up some of the commotion in the back, as it appears as though I-69 were working Gordon Carlson over. Perhaps this was in lieu of Gordon's decision to share information with Dane should he happen to stumble onto something. After a few moments, Sherlock and Joseph walked out of the camera shot, and we watched as Carlson struggled to find his air, holding his stomach after the blindside attack.]
[Back to the Arena.]

With seven men remaining, the pace slowed a bit. Each man knew they were looking to position themselves in the upper half of the field, and were surveying the ring to see if they could find an alliance, or if they were on their own.
'HB' and Bright were matched up, while Ross and Stevens locked horns. This left Ralph Erickson to fend for himself against Brookes and Taborda. The same two men that had targeted him a few back. Erickson fought valiantly, but the two on 1 situation was eventually too much for him to overcome. Taborda executed the final blow that sent Erickson out of the ring, and down to the floor.
Ralph Erickson was Eliminated by Zeze Taborda (16:15)
On the other side of the ring, a few moments after Erickson's feet hit the ground, Callum Ross joined him - as Henri executed a nasty belly to belly overhead suplex that shot the young wrestler over the top rope, and nearly into the second row.
Callum Ross was Eliminated by Henri Bryndisarson (16:23)
The final five were left to sort out their fates, as the stakes were high. Two men that had just worked together seamlessly had turned on each other. Taborda believed that aligning with anyone showed weakness, and perhaps he was using Brookes to assist in eliminating Erickson - but now with that task completed, Taborda sought to take matters into his own hands. While Brookes seemed to be focusing on Gabriel Blight, Taborda grabbed him from behind and used all of the force he could muster to send Brookes over the top rope!
Andrew Brookes was Eliminated by Zeze Taborda (17:06)
Taborda took the moment to smirk and even mock Brookes for 'falling into his trap'. While this was going on, the camera went split screen once again.

[Aaron Vasquez.]
Vasquez had caught Dane flush in the jaw with a right hand. Not just any right hand - but one brandishing a pair of brass knuckles. It's hard to defend the shot you can't see coming, and that's exactly what happened here. As Vasquez walked forward from the shadows, he stood over Dane, who semi conscious, but in no shape to continue the fight at that point. Vasquez said...
'Hurd Ju wuz lookin' f' me'
[Vasquez doesn't follow up the attack, here merely take a hard step over Dane, leaving him on the ground to suffer.]
[The camera sticks with the shot, while the split screen remains. In the ring, the final four has been set.]
[Split Screen.]
The final 4 consisted of Henri, Stevens, Bright and Taborda. All four men were making their debuts in NPW, and all four men had an opportunity to take control of their own destiny with a victory in this bout. Stevens and Bright were communicating with one and other, and it was decided that Bright would take on Taborda, while Stevens and Henri would renew their rivalry that seemed to have been building throughout the contest.

Our final four contenders are battling it out. The young grappler Blight was in a little over his head with the amount of experience that was left in the ring. Stevens, 'HB and Zeze all come to Northern Pro Wrestling with solid resumes, and it's not surprise that they found themselves in this position. Blight fought hard, and turned a lot of heads in his debut in NPW, but he would fall short, as 'HB' was able to muscle Blight against the ropes, and tip him backwards with enough force that he went down to the floor. In a great feat of athleticism, Blight actually landed on his feet, and kept his eyes focused on Henri. Although he was defeated, he wasn't beaten!
Gabriel Blight was eliminated by Henri Bryndisarson (20:21)
Once 'HB' had deposed by Blight, he was surprised to find Stevens and Zeze grappling up against the far ropes. Neither man seemed to be gaining an advantage, but both were exerting maximum effort to oust the other. The crafty veteran crept up behind both men, and grabbed both of their legs and used all of his might to tip both men over the top rope to the floor! As both men's feet hit, they looked up at the ring, completely shocked. It didn't take long for Zeze and Stevens to continue their battle, eventhough the match was officially over!
Lee Stevens and Zeze Taborda were Eliminated by Henri Bryndisarson (21:06)
The winner of the Battle Royal: Henri Bryndisarson!!!
--
Henri raised his hands in victory, and stomped around the ring as if he owned it. A few moments passed, and this is when Gus Arnold made his way to the back. Gus entered the ring, and fist bumped Henri and handed him over a manilla envelope which we were left to assume was an open contract.
Gus raised Henri's hand, and he exited the ring with the envelope in his hand.
Gus then took a mic and congratulated all of the wrestlers who competed in the Battle Royal. Gus said he was thrilled and impressed with everyone's efforts, and said that the future of 'NPW' was in great hands. Gus then went onto announce that with Canada Day and the 4th of July on the horizon - that NPW would hold their next show on July 10th, and would follow suit with another show later in the month. Gus reminded everyone that the 'August on the Atlantic' supercard would take place the first week of August, and would showcase all of the best talent and matches that Northern Pro Wrestling could muster.
Gus did however announce that Tyrone Walker would be defended his North American Cruiserweight Championship against Marcus Smith at the event.
Gus claimed that he would be making more announcements about the upcoming cards in the coming days! Gus also said that he was open to discussing option with the talent on the roster, if there was a situation where someone wanted to 'call their shot' Gus would be open to it. Gus encouraged the audience to keep checking the Northern Pro Website for updates.

We see I-69 have Eric Dane pressed up against the wall and are taking turns delivering nasty body shots to the Canadian Commonwealth Champion. Dane has spats of blood coming from his mouth, which might indicate a little internal bleeding, or perhaps it's from Vasquez's brass knuckles earlier in the evening.
Oxford Osland pulls up in the parking lot, clearly he wasn't in the arena tonight, but was staying close by. Now that his men have Dane in their control, he walked out of the vehicle with a smile from ear to ear. Osland walked up to Dane, and reminded him that he wasn't to be trifled with. Now that he was aware of the fact that 'Team Danger' were part of the equation, he wouldn't assume they had the numbers advantage any more, and he would be more cerebral going forward.
Osland then taunted Dane, telling him that he did some background on some of his past injuries, siting that he was aware that Dane's knee had been surgically reconstructed, and that was why he wore that brace to the ring. At which point Osland kicked Dane as hard as he could on the back of that knee.
As Dane dropped to the ground in pain, holding onto his knee. Osland told Sherlock and Joseph to drag Dane over to his car. Osland opened up the back door, and the three of them placed Dane's knee in harms way.
[WHACK!]
[WHACK!]
Osland slammed the car door on Dane's knee not once, but TWICE!
The blood curling scream that came from the champion's mouth was enough to alert the officials from inside the arena. Gordon Carlson who had a run-in with I-69 earlier in the evening burst out of the back door - as did Ralph Erickson. The Eastern Elite's presence was enough for Osland and I-69 to scatter like thieves in the night. Carlson shouted that they needed an ambulance over here and stat.
Our show concluded with medics and NPW officials checking on Dane, who had since passed out from the amount of pain he was enduring.

The Eastern Elite's presence was enough for Osland and I-69 to scatter like thieves in the night. Carlson shouted that they needed an ambulance over here and stat.
Our show concluded with medics and NPW officials checking on Dane, who had since passed out from the amount of pain he was enduring.
