This wasn't your typical opening of a two hour event. Instead of being greeted by a host, or the owner of Northern Pro Wrestling, were taken backstage where it appears the chaos has already started. We hover around a group of EMT's who are checking on a downed wrestler who's laying facedown motionless.
[Danuwaanlihli.]
One of Northern Pro Wrestling's newest signees was set to make his singles debut at the event tonight, but based on his current state, that might be a stretch. We watch as Gus Arnold feverishly looks around, looking for answers, as the EMT's continue to monitor Danu's condition. Gus popped up from a kneeled position to see both members of Spin Cycle within ear shot. Gus questions them, as Danu was set to wrestle Jamal Williams on the show, and he wondered whether or not this was their handy work.
Both Reggie Taylor and Jamal Williams looked as confused as the rest, and vehemently denied having any to do with this set of unfortunate circumstances. Jamal asked Gus what he wanted him to do, as his match with Danu was set to kick off the event. Gus told him to hold tight, and that they would flex the schedule tonight to see if Danu was able to compete later in the show once he started to shake the cobwebs.
As if on cue, Danu started to stir, at which point it was clear that he had his 'bell rung' and was starting to shake the cobwebs. Gus asked him what happened, and Danu wasn't able to give a clear response. Gus grabbed his cell phone out of his pocket, and spoke to one of his stagehands, and made the request to have the event start with Carlito Rodriguez vs. Reggie Taylor. Based on Gus' responses, it appeared as though he felt confident that the message would be relayed to the EWF Superstar, as he looked to showcase himself in a completely different market in front of the bright lights.
Gus looked over to Reggie Taylor, who was still nearby, and told him to get ready, because he was going to kick off the show. Taylor and Williams started to go over last minute routines, before they disappeared down the hall.
Before the scene closed, the camera panned back and off in the distance there was a single candle which was lit, the flame flickering in the distance.
This was no accident. Danu was definitely targeted, and perhaps it was a little more clear as to whom was responsible.

Cross Promotional Match
20 Minute Time Limit
Reggie Taylor 5'11 213lbs vs. "The Latin Lover" Carlito Rodriguez [EWF] 6'0 220lbs
--
'The Latin Lover' Carlito Rodriguez has been climbing the ranks with the EWF as of late, and becoming one of their most sought after wrestlers on social media. The insiders believe that Rodriguez has an immense amount of upside, and that if he can stay focused on improving his craft, the sky is the limit. He was wrestling Reggie Taylor in this contest, who prefers to by flashy and often times lacks true substance when its time to wrestle a key opponents in a big situation. The match makers felt that stylistically, these two could bring out the best in one and other, and capture the imagination of the fans all the while.
In what was a crisp affair, both guys kept it snug in between their arial attacks. The turning point in the contest was when Reggie Taylor hit the top rope after hitting a german suplex, but he stumbled a little while trying to reach the top turnbuckle. That was all that was required for Carlito to time Taylor's dive and get his knees up!
As Taylor rolled on the mat in pain, Carlito could sense that he had him right where he wanted him. Carlito took his time and measured Taylor with some vicious shots that were a little unnecessary given how hurt Taylor was. Carlito played to the fans watching at home, and did his best to humiliate Taylor by paint brushing him with slaps, before driving him head first to the mat with a vicious DDT. That was likely enough to end the match, but Carlito insisted on inflicting some more punishment.
Carlito picked Taylor up and appeared to be whispering to him in spanish, taunting him. Then, WHAM! Carlito executed his version of a Backstabber that he calls "Traición de amor". The impact was vicious, as he rolled over on top of Taylor, hooked the leg for good measure and got the three count.
Winner: "The Latin Lover" Carlito Rodriguez via Traición de amor (5:12)
Carlito admired his handy work, before leaving the ring. Definitely someone to keep an eye on.

We see a split screen of the North American Cruiserweight Champion; Marcus Smith preparing for battle, as well as The Black Jaguar who's sitting against the wall, meditating - doing all he can to harness all of his chi, as he prepares to wrestle away the championship from his counter part.
--
[Jay Stevens.]
We watch as the young grappler makes his final walk towards the ring. As he turns the corner and is about to hit the gorilla position, he's stone walled.
[Bloodline.]
Manuel Mayorga and Stevens had a little bit of a dust up at the last event, and it seems as though Mayorga is targeting Stevens, or at the very least, looking to intimidate him. Mayorga tell Stevens that he will be watching him very closely during his match, and said that it was only a matter of time before he beat him down. If Stevens was intimidated, he certainly didn't let on that he was. Instead, Stevens seemed to welcome the challenge, but only if it was set to be a 1 on 1 contest.
This is when Esteban Fuentes spoke up, and told Jay to watch his mouth, and that they were the ones who call the shots, not him. Fuentes said that Jay better have eyes in the back of his head, because at this rate, they might even be paying him a visit after his match tonight.
A stagehand gave Jay his cue that it was his turn to walk the aisle, so Jay stepped around the trio and continued his walk towards the ring.

Ranked Match
20 Minute Time Limit
Malek Fredericks 6'0" 204lbs vs. Jay Stevens 6'1" 215lbs
--
Jay Stevens asked for this match, as he made it clear that he didn't want to have to start at the bottom in NPW. He felt as though his performance at the Cruiserweight Classic this year warranted some respect and instant equity within the promotion. On top of that, his father figures are known across the globe as main event players, and coming from that Stock does tend to lend some special circumstances. Gus didn't do Jay any favours, as he matched him up with someone who's got him beat in the experience department by a decade, and has won championships in various countries throughout the world. For the past five years, Fredericks had a strange hold on the Western Canada Wrestling scene, and was responsible for training of KUMA and Lance Romance.
Although the Shooters Club team has been the runner up as of late, they're still a very capable outfit that pose a threat on a daily basis. Moreover, Fredericks' forte is as a singles competitor competing within the Cruiserweight Limit. Fredericks wants the match to hit the mat, and Stevens welcomes it.
For someone who's been in the wrestling business around three years, but still only 20 years old, many wrestling insiders believe that Jay Stevens has all of the tools to become a superstar, and perhaps Northern Pro Wrestling will be the place for that narrative to be set in motion. On top of this major opportunity, Jay has drawn attention from Manuel Mayorga, who's considered the meanest of the Bloodline trio, and the most dangerous in a street fight scenario. While nothing has come of their brief interactions up until now, it seems plausible that these two would end up wrestling one and other in the future.
In what was a true test of wills and skill, this contest started slowly, but picked up speed as it progressed. As the contest was nearing the fifteen minute mark, it seemed as though Stevens had taken some of Malek's best shots, but was still in the middle of the ring refusing to back down. As Fredericks started to wilt, perhaps not expecting Stevens to be prepared for a dogfight, his spirit started to falter as the young lion's gas tank appeared to be near full. Jay seemed to notice that Malek was favouring his left leg either due to the wear and tear of the match, or he landed awkwardly during one of their exchanges.
During the next set of exchanges, Jay was able to muscle the more exhausted Fredericks to the mat, and took the mount position with relative ease. The mount was merely a decoy for his plan, as he was able to lower himself after delivering a few strikes down to lower half of Malek's body. Jay Stretched Malek's knee with a knee bar, and really worked it over, almost causing Fredericks to tap.
Fredericks scrambled trying to break the hold, his momentum almost turned him, which Jay snatched a perfect opportunity and went with Malek's defence, but gave up his back, and as Jay and transitioned out of the knee bar and into a Texas Cloverleaf! Jay had it synched in tight, and right in the middle of the ring. We could see that there was still two and half minute left in the bout before it would be declared a draw, but no need, as Malek tapped the mat signifying he couldn't take it any longer.
Winner: Jay Stevens via Texas Cloverleaf (17:54)
After the match, Jay seemed to be looking over his shoulder, expecting Bloodline to make good on their word. Except, they didn't rush the ring. Once Jay realized it was just him, he was able to soak in some of the glory associated with defeating a very talented and experienced Cruiserweight such as Malek Fredericks. Jay waited for Malek to get his bearings, at which point he offered him a handshake - but Malek backed away and declined, clearly disappointed in his performance. Big victory for Stevens as we expect big things from him going forward.

[Backstage.]
We watch as the physicians are still checking on Danu backstage, which has Gus on the verge of cancelling the match. Jamal Williams has been nearby this entire time, waiting to see if he will be able to showcase his skills. Jamal said that he's tired of waiting on Gus to make a decision, and that he was going to go to the ring, and make an open challenge, or have the referee count to ten and declare him the winner. Gus encouraged the open challenge, as he didn't want to rob the fans of a match.
The camera stayed live, and followed one half of Spin Cycle through the backstage area, and out to the ring. Williams rolled under the bottom rope, and asked for a mic from the ring announcer.
Williams said that he came to the venue tonight to wrestle, and that the situation with his scheduled opponent shouldn't prevent the world from watching him in action. Williams said that there were two choices.
1) Either Danu be cleared by the medics right now so they could wrestle.
2) He would issue an open challenge to anyone in the back to accept a match with him.
Jamal said, either way, he intended on having his hand raised when all was said and done.
We waited and waited, and it seemed as though nobody was going to step up to accept the bout. Williams smiled to himself, assuming everyone was too nervous to wrestle someone of his calibre. Williams leaned up against the far ropes with confidence and looked down at his watch. Williams then suggested that the referee begin a ten count, to declare him the winner.
The referee complied, but when he reached 7.
[Darkness.]
[The single candle ever present.]
[The REAL Lord Dominicus.]
Williams looked on inquisitively, as the former XHF Jr. Heavyweight Champion made his way to ringside. 'LD' kept his eyes focused on Williams before climbing the ring steps and telling the referee that he was there to answer the challenge. He also let on that his plan had worked out perfectly, as he was responsible for blindsiding Danu earlier in the evening in order to forge a path to this contest on the showcase.

Ranked Match
20 Minute Time Limit
Jamal Williams 6'1" 220lbs vs. The REAL Lord Dominicus 6'0" 180lbs
--
When the bell sounded, Williams looked hesitant to engage, as he clearly knew the rumours that the for XHF Jr. Heavyweight Champion wasn't one to be trifled with. In fact, The REAL Lord Dominicus has been very passionate of late in his presentation, and targeting some unlikely opponents. Perhaps this was the inception of something fresh, or perhaps this was the Real LD's way of going after the head of the snake, knowing full well that once he was able to conquer it, there would been denying his place at the top of the main event in Northern Pro Wrestling.
Jamal Williams has had a slue of impressive performances in the North American Wrestling Council in singles action, and has the athleticism to match his lofty expectations. As Williams used the ropes to bounce all over the ring, he quickly learned an important lesson, and that was the LD is deceptive in his movements, and more well rounded than you might anticipate. A Flying Arm Bar out of nowhere was the first sense that Williams had that this was going to be a long night. It felt as though 'LD' eased up on the hold as Williams inched closer to the rope, not wanting to waste undue energy fighting for ring position, but also sending a message to his opponent that he was the one in control.
Williams knew that LD was playing mind games, and didn't like it. Like most young wrestlers, he fired up and thought he could bull rush his way to success, but all LD did was counter that energy with defence, and savvy strategy that continuously kept Williams off balance and out of sorts. Although there were moments where it appeared as though Jamal wasn't in grave danger, and could reverse his fortunes, the former Jr. Heavyweight Champion seemed to have him well scouted, and was always in the proper position to exploit a flaw in Williams' game.
The match ended up turning into a bit of a squash, even though 'LD' was allowing for Williams to re-start from neutral positions, and wasn't applying the pressure one might think was appropriate to end a match in short fashion. Perhaps The REAL LD was playing with his 'catch' before unceremoniously ending the game of cat and mouse.
A Nasty Shining Wizard was a huge statement from LD, as it seemed to nearly knocked Williams out cold. The speed and precision to which the move connected was something to marvel at. LD followed that 'The Darkness' which was executed with full force and no resistance. That set sequence of events made the pinfall academic, as The Real LD was very impressive in his debut with Northern Pro Wrestling.
Winner: The REAL Lord Dominicus via 'The Darkness' (4:18)
The Real LD didn't pose or flex after the match. It was if this was all business to him, and perhaps sending a message to Gus Arnold that he's more than serious about taking run at the top stars of NPW. Whether this disposition was from not being officially booked on the show, or perhaps 'LD' was prepared to wage war with anyone who crossed his path.

[Gus Arnold's Office.]
[Timeless.]
Alex Turner approached Gus and said that he finally had some valid information to share with the NPW Patriarch. Gus said he was listening, but before Timeless shared anything, he asked Gus if he was willing to be a man of his word and if there really was 'Something in it for him' since he was the one who was able to connect him with Eric Dane. Gus said that he would always be a man of his word, but he also wouldn't be intimidated or black mailed into anything either. Gus said if the information that Timeless said that he had was legitimate, he would consider giving Timeless something that he wanted.
Timeless reached into his pocket and pulled out a flyer that said.
[Crescent City Fight Club.]
Gus looked at the flyer and was seemingly confused as to what this had to do with anything, so Timeless smartened him up.
Timeless said that this was Angus Skaaland's latest venture, and that Eric Dane had a piece of the business as well. Timeless brought Gus' attention to the phone number and email printed at the bottom of the flier, and encouraged Gus to pick up the phone and ask for Angus.
Gus told Timeless to sit down and wait, as he wanted him to be there while he went through this exercise. Gus pulled out his phone and dialled. After a few moments, he spoke.
"Yeah, Angus?"
[...]
"This is Gus Arnold."
[...]
We watch as Gus asks who we can only assume is Angus on the other line if he has seen or heard from Eric Dane lately. Based on Gus's reaction, it would appear that he had. Surprisingly enough, Timeless was a man of his word, and was able to put the appropriate parties into contact with one and other.
"I see, he changed his number to a Chicago based line. Would you happen to have the number on hand?"
We watch as Gus writes the digits down on a piece of paper. Once he hangs up, he addressed Timeless.
Gus said that he was pleasantly surprised, and that he would honour his words when it came to a reward. Timeless learned in and whispered something that was inaudible to Gus, something we weren't quite able to hear. Gus leaned back and thought about it.
"You're sure that's what you want?"
Timeless nodded his head that he did. Gus then stroked his chin for a minute, before agreeing. Gus said that he would need to make a few things happen from a planning standpoint, but once he had done so, he would make the announcement an official one.
Timeless and Gus nodded their heads to say that they had a deal.

20 Minute Time Limit
'The Unbalanced' Lou Natic [EWF] 6'1" 212lbs vs. Myles Alexander 6'0" 217lbs
--
'The Unbalanced' Lou Natic is a major draw for Empire Wrestling Federation, with a cult like following. Lou doesn't bend of break for anyone, and is the epitome of throwing caution tho the wind. His rebellious outlook and nature makes him relatable as he's willing to wrestle anyone at anytime. The guy likes to fight, and we encourage that type of behaviour. Surpsingly enough, just 9 days away from the biggest match of his life, Lou agreed to take part in this event as part of a joint partnership between Northern Pro Wrestling and The Empire Wrestling Federation. When asked who Lou wanted to wrestle, Lou said he wanted someone who liked to fight rough and dirty, as he felt that would be the best course to help him prepare for the DIE IN A CELL match he was about to experience at Imperial Insanity.
Myles Alexander fits that profile perfectly, as the redneck, beer drinking hick from the sticks of Newfoundland doesn't fight pretty, and relies on a sturdy chin and some heat behind his strikes to get the job done.
As the match started to take shape, it was fought outside of the ring more so than inside. Lou turned the ring steps and guardrail into his own personal playground, as he whipped Myles into them as often as he could. Whenever Myles thought he could catch his breath, he was met with vicious strikes that ended up folding him over.
Whenever the referee would encourage them to get back into the ring, Lou would go old school and roll under the bottom rope in order to break the referee's ten count, only to go back outside to continue the fury. A sit-down power bomb on the floor was a highlight, as Myle's head hit the concrete hard
Lou smirked, knowing that the impact of the move, coupled with the damage he had already performed should be enough to secure a dominant victory. Lou took a minute to examine his opponent, who had barely moved. Lou was about to toss Myles under the bottom rope, but his brother Martin hit the ringside area, looking for blood. Big mistake, Lou kicked him in the gut and flatted him with a snap DDT. The referee was within his right to call for a DQ, but decided that since Lou was able to control the situation himself, he would allow the match to continue.
Lou then rolled Myles under the rope and pondered his next move. Knowing that Myles might've had an opportunity to recover, Lou felt it best to really send his victory home with strength, so he executed a double undertook driver, before floating over and finishing the match with a decisive and convincing victory over a game young grappler.
Winner: 'The Unbalanced' Lou Natic via Double Underhook Driver (6:30)
Lou took a moment to send a warning to John Cavanaugh, as the two of them were set to headline Imperial Insanity. Lou talked about becoming their top champion, and with conviction in his voice declared that he would be the only man to walk out of DEATH in a CELL in one piece.

[Backstage.]
An NPW reporter caught up with The REAL Lord Dominicus. The reporter seemed 'hip' to LD's plan to eliminate 'Danu' so he could open up a spot on tonight's show for himself. This is where 'LD' stopped the reporter and said that while he is EVIL, he could also not take the credit for the ambush on 'Danu'.
The reporter wasn't buying it, and that seemed to offend 'LD' - as the reporter reminded him that there was a single candle burning in the background. This also seemed to stir things up, as perhaps this was a blatantly frame job.
We were about to get a couple of answers, As the reporter could overhear 'Danu' and some of the NPW medics walking towards them. Danu seemed in good spirits all things considered, and was very honest when the reporter questioned him about who it was who jumped him earlier in the evening.
Danu didn't hesitate, and he said it was 'Timeless' and his fan Troy who had ambushed him. The reporter double checked, remarking about the candle burning in the background.
Danu said that he thought they were trying to frame The REAL Lord Dominicus, so to take the heat off of them.
The reporter looked at both men, and then questioned "LD's" acceptance of Jamal Williams' challenge. The response that came afterwards was simple in the fact that this was a golden opportunity to showcase himself as one of the best wrestlers in the world, and while he didn't have anything directly to do with Danu's situation, he was willing to reap the rewards of an unexpected opportunity that presented itself.
This is when 'Danu' said that he was out for revenge and asked 'LD' if he was willing to clear his name to the public, and join him in his battle against Timeless. LD looked at Danu, and then looked at the reporter and told him to send a message to Gus Arnold that they were demanding a match with Timeless at the next show, due to the fact that he had taken things too far, and there would need to be a receipt paid for his actions.
The two grapplers walked out of the screen shot, and we faded away and back to the arena.

Number One Contender Match
20 Minute Time Limit
Lynx 6'1" 200lbs vs. Solomon Graham 6'2" 223lbs
--
In a match that was being watched closely by everyone in the locker room, and everywhere throughout the network - Lynx and Solomon Graham were set to battle it out for the right to challenge the North American Cruiserweight Champion at a later date. Solomon was impressive in his NPW debut, defeating Willard Manchester, as well as teaming with Lee Stevens to make short work of the Evanston Express. Sol made no bones about his plans, as he made it known that he planned to pursue a match with whomever the CW Champion was.
Lynx is hot off a very impressive victory At an XHF Global event, standing tall for Northern Pro in an inter-promotional contest against Guillotina. Not only that, one could argue that from the moment Lynx set foot inside NPW, he's been hardworking, dedicated and extremely loyal to Gus Arnold. Lynx is bold, and carries himself with dignity, and is willing to have difficult conversation with men much larger than him. Take his hostile words with Timeless for example after the conclusion of the most recent NPW event. Bottom line, Lynx enjoys the battle, and won't back down.
Lynx is a master of the puroesu style, while mixing in some high flying to go along with it. Solomon is very capable of taking care of himself in all areas of combat, and has earned the reputation as one of Canada's toughest and most skilled fighters within the wrestling business. Two formidable men were about to lock up, and set the world on the fire.
Styles make fights, and this would had match of the night written all over it. Early on, Sol seemed to be exerting himself and forcing his will on Lynx. Sol enjoyed an early lead in the contest, and must've felt that he was fighting on his home field, as he is adored all over Canada. Lynx, is starting to become a very well respected fan favourite in his own right, and has captured the hearts of the NPW faithful with his persistence and the uncanny ability to fight above his weight.
Sol was lacing into Lynx in the corner with some vicious strikes, but it seemed to fire Lynx up, and he returned fire with some heavy artillery of his own which backed Solomon up out of the corner. A spinning back kick landed clean, which sat Sol down.
Lynx waited for Sol to get back to his feet, so they could collar and elbow tie up once again, where Lynx execute a beautiful deep arm drag, followed by a seated wristlock as he maintained control of his opponent. Sol showed strong ground wrestling and a calculated approach while playing defence and was eventually able to roll out of Lynx's control and reverse the position with a deep hammerlock. Sol used his strength and suplexed Lynx over while holding the hammer lock in place. The referee counted, but Lynx was able to kick out at 2.
Lynx appeared more surprised than injured after the sequence so when Sol charged Forward with a clothesline, Lynx ducked under and returned the favour with a clothesline of his own. When Sol popped back up, Lynx hit the ropes and nailed Sol with a Hurricanrana, which got him a 2 count.
Both men were back to vertical base, and much more calculated with how they proceeded, knowing that each man had executed a near fall, and both men seemed to have trained hard for the contest, as when we hit the 12 minute mark, we were nearly ad a stand still and neither man was breathing heavy.
Sol took the match to the mat and was working various submissions looking to hold Lynx down, while making him carry the brunt of his body weight in the process. The strategy proved effective, as it seemed as though Lynx put himself in dangerous unbeknownst to him while he was struggling to break free, and Sol locked in a triangle choke hold from bottom position. A lesser man would've passed out, but Lynx refused, and he finally fought out of it and that was certainly the closest he came to being defeated on this night.
The near finish was enough to bring forth a second wind, as Lynx then took the fight to Sol utilizing a variety of high flying moves, which brought forth a few near falls.
The referee soon warned the wrestlers that there was two minute left in the bout, and while it appeared as though Lynx was in the lead by a slight margin, that was when Sol rolled him up with a small package, and got another 2.5 count.
The match was so close, and the final minute was met with fireworks. As they circled, Lynx pointed to the ground rot signify that he wasn't going to back down and would only move forward from here on out. Sol seemed to understand the body language and complied, stating he wasn't going to back down either. The two men then stood toe to toe in the middle of the ring and started to strike with one and other. As one struck, the other struck back with more force. Neither man was willing to budge, and with a full 19 and half minutes gone, both men seemed to be impervious of pain.
Their adrenaline was at a high, and they laced into one and other. If there were fans, they would've been on their feet with delight, encouraging these two warriors to continue. The referee started to count down and with five seconds left, Lynx stood back, waiting for Sol to make a last ditch effort to secure the victory, but he was wise to it. Instead, he allowed the clock to run down, just as Lynx did.
Result: Time Limit Draw (20:00)
The referee brought the two athletes together, and Lynx extended his hand out of respect to Solomon, who accepted. A firm handshake in the middle, but neither wrestler took his eyes off of the other.
The referee raised both of their hands, to signify the draw. Gus Arnold then made his way to the ring with a mic in hand. Gus said that he was thoroughly impressed by the efforts of both men, and proclaimed them both to be the number one contender to the North American Cruiserweight Championship.
Gus said that he still planned to host a mega show on the Friday before Canadian Thanksgiving, which is October 2nd. As the Co-Main Event it would be Lynx, Solomon Graham and the winner of the Marcus Smith vs. Black Jaguar match for the North American Cruiserweight Championship. Gus said that both of these warriors had earned the right to challenge for the championship, and were doing their pat to elevate the Northern Pro Wrestling Brand. Gus said both men had an extremely bright future, and they would both make fantastic champions.
The moment began to subside, as Lynx and Solomon both seemed appreciative of Gus' words and the opportunity to Co-Headline Northern Pro Wrestling Supershow on October the 2nd.

We watch as Timeless, Roxy and 'Troy' are exiting the arena, looking awfully pleased with what they accomplished. Timeless was able to secure something beneficial from Gus Arnold as it pertained to his reward for locating Eric Dane. Also, they were able to swerve the Northern Pro locker room by making it appear as though The REAL Lord Dominicus had attacked 'Danu' when in fact, it was them who had delivered the ambush. Based on their body language and the way they were carrying on, they weren't aware that The Real LD and 'Danu' had come together to figure out the mystery, and were hot on their heels.
On cue, The REAL LD, and Danu spotted the Trio about to make their exit from the building. They were in hot pursuit, but Troy saw them coming and was clearly terrified for his life. This was going to be a head on confrontation and not some pre-orchestrated ambush where he could get free licks in on a downed opponent. Timeless, Roxy and Troy high-tailed it out the backdoor, and into their vehicle as quickly as possible. Once Danu and LD realized they didn't want to get run over by a reckless driver, they decided to wait to fight another day.

Marcus Smith took his time getting to the ring, and proudly sported the North American Cruiserweight Championship around his waist.
Hawke: Out comes the champion! Marcus Smith has been holding the belt since August 11th! He defeated Tyrone Walker in a hard fought battle and certainly doesn't want to lose his belt so soon after!
Taborda: But he has to face Black Jaguar tonight and if I was on Marcus Smith shoes - Of course I'm not cause they're horrible - I would give my best in the ring. The Black Jaguar is known to be a resilient worker and can shift the momentum of the match at the slightest mistake.
Hawke: You've done your homework! I'm impressed.
Taborda: There are a lot of things people don't know about me. I love the wrestling business and love wrestling itself and we're about to have a great main-event tonight. That's why I'm in NPW, the home of fierce and proper competition!
Marcus Smith seems very focused as well as he enters the ring, looking at his opponent at all times!
Hawke: Ok... What do you think about both competitors tonight?
Zézé Taborda: Great wrestlers, great competitors but one of them has something that I'm looking for here at NPW, a title. And I would call that bad luck. Now SHUT UP and FOCUS!
The referee lifts the North American Cruiserweight Championship up high. The crowd is cheering for both competitors who look at the championship and then at each other. Marcus Smith proposes a handshake to The Black Jaguar as a sign of respect and both man shake hands as the referee is setting everything up before ringing the bell.
[BELL RINGS]
Jaguar climbs to the second rope and lifts his hands for a pop of the crowd. Marcus Smith does the same on the other side. Jaguar once again lifting his hand and the crowd gets louder as he back flips. Marcus Smith looks around, goes into the top rope and Back Flips as well for a big crowd pop.
Hawke: Mind games already! Now they know they're against each other and the title is at stake!
Both man body expression changes as they circle each other. The Black Jaguar locks up with Smith! Smith quickly changes into his back and holds Jaguar tightly who needs to get to the ropes. Smith pushes him away and they're back into circling each other. Jaguar fakes a Lock Up and has Smith is about to lock it, Jaguar with a Drop Toe Hold sends him to the mat! Jaguar tries to lock Smith's chin but is quickly countered into a Armlock! Jaguar gets back up to his feet while Smith applies pressure onto his arm. Jaguar quickly drops to ground and scissors Smith's left leg, who falls again and quickly changes to a Headlock!
Taborda: Now this is what we want to see! Proper technical wrestling from both!
Hawke: Smith is getting up as Jaguar squeezes tightly.
Taborda: OR NOT! HEADLOCK Takedown by Jaguar takes the champion onto the mat once again!
Hawke: Smith looks in trouble but pushes Jaguar's head back and applies a Leg Lock on his neck, breaking free of Jaguar's Headlock.
Taborda: WOW! GREAT NIP UP FROM JAGUAR WHO BREAKS FREE FROM SMITH'S LEG LOCK. The betting house is probably having a lot of work right now.
Hawke: This match can go either way!
Both man are back into circling each other! Jaguar lifts his hand up and wants to go for a test of strenght but he is met by a Kick to The Gut! Smith tries to Back Switch! Big Elbow to the face by Jaguar who runs to the ropes, Smith with the BACKDROP!! NO! Jaguar lands on his feet! Smith notices it and charges towards Jaguar, Jaguar with a Hurracarana but Smith cartwheels out of it! Jaguar charges forward, Smith with a Hurracarana himself but Jaguar lands on his feet! Both man try a Spinning Back Kick and their feet collide in the air they fall on the mat! And go back into circling each other, they can't believe and the match is on.
Taborda: Like I said, Hawke, they know everything about each other by know!
Hawke: What a great display of athleticism is what it is! The crowd is loving the Cruiserweight Action for the championship!
Smith has had enough of it, goes for the Lock Up full of anger, Jaguar looks for a Wrist Lock but Smith Irish Whips him to the corner with full power! Jaguar's back meets the corner and he falls to the floor! Smith runs towards him... Baseball Slide! Jaguar rolls out of the way but he is still in pain! Smith gets up tries to grab Jaguar head. SNAPMARE BY JAGUAR! FOLLOWED BY A BIG KICK TO THE BACK! Jaguar goes to the ropes flips over Smith and connects a big NeckBreaker!
Taborda: This is cruiserweight action! And Jaguar shifting the momentum of the match!
Hawke: No doubt! What great action.
Smith looks to get some breath back and rolls out of the ring, his neck is still hurting. Jaguar runs towards the outside springs on the ropes! SPRINGBOARD HURRACARANA TO THE OUTSIDE! JAGUAR Gets back up on his feet! The crowd is roaring and he grabs Smith by the head, tries to send him to the barricade but he is countered and Jaguar goes to the barricade alowing Smith to get some of his breath back.
Taborda: Smith with a very intellegent counter. Pure instinct. And he is trying to work Jaguar spine for his brainbuster.
Hawke: Both man are! Cause Jaguar is well known by his Dragon Suplex.
Smith rolls into the ring to break the count and goes back outside. Jaguar is recovered! Big Knife Edge Chops by Smith! Kicks by Jaguar! Another Chop! STEP-UP ENZIGUIRI BY JAGUAR Takes Smith down! Jaguar Slowly gets back on his feet and re-enter the ring, Smith tries to get back but Jaguar Suplexes him to the Inside! NO! SMITH LANDS ON HIS FEET! GOES INTO THE ROPES BIG FLYING LARIAT! MOONSAULT! HOOKS THE LEG!

Taborda: And he is about to do... Smith climbs to the top rope! He wants to finish this!
Hawke: Jaguar quickly gets back up, runs towards Smith steps on the turnbuckle and a big SPEAR TO THE OUTSIDE!! BOTH MAN FALL HARD ON THE FLOOR!
Taborda: LOOK AT SMITH HE'S HURT! WHAT A BIG BUMP!
Hawke: JESUS! HE MIGHT BE INJURED RIGHT THERE!
Taborda: Probably he is injured, I have years of experience in that ring and I can tell you that Smith did fall badly. We are wrestlers! Not circus clowns and this men are risking their lives for the championship! And I'm certain that unless Smith is unable to walk he will get back up!
Both man slowly get back up and try to reach the ring as the referee is counting. Jaguar gets in first, Smith is clearly hurt! But manages to roll inside at the count of 9! Jaguar picks him up, Irish Whip and as Smith rebounds on the ropes meets a massive DROPKICK! Smith holds on to the ropes and stays on his feet, Jaguar turns Smith, BRIDING DRAGON SUPLEX!!! DEVASTATING!
Taborda: THIS IS IT! SMITH'S OUT!

Hawke: JAGUAR WON! JAGUAR WON!
Taborda: NO! NO! NO!!!! SMITH'S FOOT ON THE ROPE! THAT'S EXPERIENCE RIGHT THERE!
Hawke: Jaguar can't believe it! It was so close.
Taborda: The Ropes are your allies! That's why I make sure I put my feet on the ropes before my opponent does.
Hawke: But that's cheating!
Taborda: That's winning a match at all costs and not allowing what just happened here. I would be champ already.
Hawke: If you say so...
Jaguar is still incredule! The crowd is roaring as Jaguar signals the end! Goes into the Top Rope! Does a small pray! 630º SPLASH! NOOOO! MARCUS SMITH GETS OUT OF THE WAY!! JAGUAR LANDS ON THE MAT!
Taborda: EVEN MY STOMACH HURTS! OUCH!
Hawke: Smith still has energy and showcases great experience!
Taborda: This is why I like technical wrestling! It can never go wrong, high risk doesn't mean higher reward! And in this case there's no reward at all!
Both man are trying to get back up and both bodies are hurt. Both man take a while to get back up and trade blows on the center of the ring, Jaguar gets the upper hand and Smith holds onto the turnbuckle, Jaguar takes balance big Cartwheel Elbow! NO! Jaguar is caught mid-air, Smith slams him onto the floor! ARMLOCK PINFALL!

SMITH CAN'T BELIEVE IT! AS THE CHALLENGER STILL STAYS ON THE MATCH AFTER TAKING HIS SIGNATURE BRAINBUSTER ON THE OUTSIDE! The champion doesn't want to lose his momentum and applies a Bow and Arrow Hold! He holds it tightly, the crowd is buzzing as Jaguar screams in pain!
Taborda: The power of technicality, if I was applying that hold Jaguar would never escape!
Hawke: JAGUAR IS SCREAMING IN PAIN BUT SAYS NO TO THE REFEREE!
Taborda: As he shakes his head blood splatters everywhere! There's only so much a man can take!
Hawke: If Jaguar gives up he loses the opportunity of being the next Cruiserweight championship.
Taborda: Smith locked the submission and shows no signs of breaking it! It's a tough position to be in! Only if Jaguar finds the power to jump or roll out of it!
Hawke: HE DOES BOTH! AND HIS ELBOW LANDS RIGHT ON SMITH'S FACE!
Taborda: He has the heart of a warrior! If it was me this match would be over long ago, but is a great spectacle to watch!

Flips Forward lands with his legs around SMith's neck! DRAGONRANA!!!!
Taborda: Smith landed like it was a big Piledriver! But how much energy has this cost Jaguar!
Hawke: I wonder if he still has any energy left as he can't go for the pinfall right away and his beelding takes him to the floor!
Somehow Smith was able to roll his shoulder in time, which frustrated Jaguar, as a lesser man would be out of there by now. Jaguar asked the referee about the count, but the referee held his ground. Jaguar turned around to continue his assault, but Smith somehow reached up and hooked the small package! 1...2....3!
After all of that a small package did it!
Winner and STILL North American Cruiserweight Champion - Marcus Smith
As soon as the referee raised Marcus' hand, Zeze jumped into the ring and took the title away from the ref. Zeze stared Marcus down, as if to say he was coming for him. The show ended with Zeze and Marcus staring each other down.

--
[Gus Arnold's Office.]

[Backstage.]

The boos get even louder and some fans even throw lighters against Taborda who laughs at the crowd and showcases his muscles. He loves it!
Zézé Taborda: ENOUGH! Your Living Legend is not here to spoil the night! Matter of fact, I'm making your money worth. But unfortanely, you won't be able to see me compete since I'm here just to observe the competition! I'm pretty sure your wifes can't take their eyes away from me and it's hard for me not to steal the spotlight but I will just be here commentating a great wrestling match for the North American Cruiserweight Championship! Soon it can be my Championship! And If you want to hear my beautiful commentary and voice just buy the tape after the show! Don't bother me now with your stupidity and LET THE TRUE XHF WRESTLING BEGIN!!

Hawke: Good evening Taborda!
Zézé Taborda: Mr. Living Legend Zézé Taborda for you!
Hawke: Ehrm... Ok. It's great to have you here casting this match alongside me.
Zézé Taborda: Wrong! You are casting this match alongside your Living Legend, not the other way around.
