"Ladies and Gentleman, I am Blake Samuel, the voice of Northern Pro Wrestling and I'm both honoured and excited to be here today as your host. As you all know, Gus Arnold made a mAJOR announcement in regards to the future of Northern Pro Wrestling earlier this week. As a recap, It was announced that the Canadian Commonwealth and Canadian Heritage Championships have now merged. Their histories will be remembered fondly as we move forward. As of today, The North American Double Crown has officially been instituted."
"Please join me in welcoming the owner of Northern Pro Wrestling; Gus Arnold!"
[Gus Arnold.]
[Gus emerges and stands next to Samuels. The two exchange a handshake, before Gus takes the floor.]
Gus: "Thank you all for joining us here today. Today marks the beginning of the next phase of Northern Pro Wrestling. The Lethal Lottery format is an interesting dynamic, but a dynamic that I feel will leave no question as to who is the unquestioned leader of Northern Pro Wrestling going forward. The winner will have emerged from a stacked field of top notch superstars from all over North America, and will have done so by both putting their fates in the hands of a tag team partner - followed by their OWN hands when it comes to the Royal Rumble aspect of the competition. There will be hurdles, there will be achievements and there will ultimately be 1 Winner and New North American Double Crown Champion."
[Gus walks over to the left, where we see a gold cage with 20 enclosed envelopes inside.]
Gus: "The names of the 20 superstars that are involved in the Lethal Lottery are inside of this cage, and the envelopes are sealed. I will be reaching in, and handing the envelopes over to Mr. Samuels, who will then read the name allowed. The first two names drawn will be a tandem, and they will then compete against the next two names drawn - so on and so forth. The next Northern Pro Wrestling Event is scheduled for October the 28th, at the Powerade Centre in Mississauga Ontario. The first three matches will take place that night, with the following two matches taking place two weeks later on Remembrance Day, Nov 11th, at the same venue."
"Without further ado, let's get the Selection Show underway."
[We watch as Gus Arnold starts to rotate the cage, and the envelopes begin to shuffle. Gus reaches in, and pull an envelope and hands it over to Samuels.]
Samuels: "The first name selected in the Lethal Lottery is none other than "Timeless" Alex Turner. The man who was responsible for the outcome of the End of Days Main Event which spearheaded the organizational change is the first name drawn. What irony!"
[We watch a replay of the "3 count" heard around the world, as Turner counts both Gordon Carlson and Eric Dane's shoulders to the mat for the three count. The second shot is of his leg pushing Dane's shoulder to the mat.]
[Gus shuffles the envelopes once again, before reaching inside to pick the name of the partner to 'Timeless'.]
Samuels: "And 'Timeless' will be teaming with.... "The Professional" Leon VanZandt. Wow, what a pairing this ought to be. Leon might not be well known within the XHF community, but his list of accomplishments all over the world are impeccable. Leon is a no nonsense catch wrestling expert, who would make one hell of an ally for just about anyone. Hmm.. I wonder how these two men will co-exist. Will Leon have the patience to deal with Turner's antics? Either way, these men are polar opposites. Timeless is the abrasive type, while Leon typically prefers to let his actions do the talking for him!"
"And there opponents will be...."
[Gus hands Samuels another envelope.]
Samuels: "Scott Steel... Wow, this 7 foot monster has his sights set on destruction and sloppy power bombs. Steel is a real game changer for Northern Pro Wrestling, as he brings a high degree of toughness, and an "I don't give a *$%# type attitude. Very intrigued to see who will be partnered up with the mountain of a man..."
[Gus hands Samuels another envelope.]
Samuels: 'Annnddd... Scott Steel's tag team partner is.... Niko. One half of the Dark Stars Tag team Who brings a boatload of tag team experience to the table. The Dark Stars are coming off of avery lopsided victory at End of Days where they gathered tons of momentum in Northern Pro Wrestling. The duo have their sights set on an Imperial Crown Tag Team Championship opportunity down the line. Niko would have to be considered a major asset, as he knows his way around the ring in a tag team match scenario as well as anyone! Wow, What a strong pairing we have here to challenge Timeless & LVZ."
