The once formidable promotion in Osaka has fallen on hard time throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Without the proper financing to pay media outlets, and the contracts of their wrestlers - BRAVE contemplated closing it's doors for good. Enter Morihiro Sakamoto. Mr. Sakamoto is well entrenched in many corporate businesses' throughout Osaka, and he and a group of investor's have decided to breathe new life into the promotion. Mr. Sakamoto has also enlisted a team of advisors to help oversea the product - namely Japanese Wrestling Legend - Hiroshi Inoue. Inoue is a name that is accompanied with great levels of prestige, and has agreed to oversee the day to day operations within the promotion.
Inoue's first line of business was to secure the services of Satoshi Watanabe. The seasoned veteran turned manager has agreed to put his wrestling boots on once again to compete with the next generation coming up. Watanabe's reputation precedes him as a violent and vicious man with very little remorse for anyone who opposes him. Watanabe instantly becomes the most recognizable name of the BRAVE roster, and he hopes to draw interest from the legions of loyal fans all over the country.
Speaking of Watanabe, fans of Northern Pro Wrestling will remember his dealings with the promotion from 2019-2020 - where he guided The Shining Stars {Kano Ito & Tetsu Kondo} who won the Imperial Crown Tag League, thus becoming the first Imperial Crown Tag Team champions. Had it not been for COVID-19, who's to say that the Shining Stars wouldn't still be wearing championship gold. Upon returning to Osaka, The duo captured the BRAVE Tag Team Championships, and held the gold until the company went on hiatus earlier this year. We can confirm, that Sakamoto and Inoue are contemplating whether to allow them to continue on as champions, or to allow the revamped roster an opportunity to win the championships.
The Osaka fans will be happy to learn that one of their favourites; Daisuke Shinzaki has signed a contract with the promotion. A dream match between Shinzaki and Watanabe has been the talk of Osaka over the past week when news broke that both men were officially linked to the promotion.
Northern Pro owner Gus Arnold's prized student; Kenneth Marshall is set to put his near perfect professional record on the line and has agreed to sign a contract with BRAVE. Kenneth Marshall rose to prominence in Japan after his stints in KINGS of Pro Wrestling which started in 2015 and continued forward until 2019 where the former C.I.S Amateur Heavyweight Champion signed on with Lars Hagen's House of Strong Style Promotion. The former H.O.S.S member shined in his stint in the deep south, and parlayed that into a very successful run with Empire Wrestling based in New York in 2020. Wherever this man goes, he leaves a trail of broken bodies behind him.
Finally, we can confirm that White Light II & Black Jaguar have agreed to compete on BRAVE's upcoming Super Tag League. It is rumoured that these two have been eyeing a second chance to regain the BRAVE Tag Team Championships that they lost to the Shining Stars in early 2020. Since their loss, the duo made stops in Canada to challenge some of the top tag teams in professional wrestling, and feels as though their foreign experience has added layers to their skills. If so, 'The Speed Dragons' could be poised to bring back the loyal fanbase their encouraged them every step of the way when the duo put aside their personal differences to form a team back in early 2019.
