(Xiaolong arrives in town on his ninja cycle and stops in front of what looks like a gym and gets off and locks his cycle before grabbing his gear bag and enters the building where he looks around smiling and smelling the air as if he hears the sounds of the ghost of those who trained here in the past. He looks at the camera smiling as he stops where the ring is.)
Xiaolong: "Welcome to the town gym where fights from eras past trained here and fought. Some trained to fight in amateur matches or professional fights. Maybe they trained for self defense to fight any town bullies who picked on them. Of course sometimes they hosted bare knuckle contests here too. So this place has quite a history in this town."
(He sighs.)
Xiaolong: "Quite the history."
(Xiaolong motions around the gym.)
Xiaolong: "Notice the posters that still hang on the walls and if you can really hear the ghosts of those who trained here in this hallowed ground."
(He holds a hand up.)
Xiaolong: "Now I know what you may be thinking. You're probably thinking that I bought the gym but in reality I actually leased the place and yes I train here for my matches. I could probably set up a gym in my mansion and train there but then again I would miss the smell of the sweat and the voices of those who trained in years past."
(Xiaolong shrugs.)
Xiaolong: "Now this comes to my match with you Eddie Havok. I do agree with you that I'm not trying to be someone I'm not. Why would I want to do that? I mean you are you and I'm me and we're completely two different individuals."
(He walks over to the ring and grins as he places his gear bag onto the ring apron and leans on the apron.)
Xiaolong: "Now Eddie what I meant about how the match could end up becoming and end up as. I really meant that I'm training for any possibilities and at and all scenarios. That was the meaning of what I said and what I meant to say."
(Xiaolong sighs and shakes his head.)
Xiaolong: "Now as to you mentioning that I injured Rob Garcia. I never set out to actually injure Rob Garcia and I never would even think of trying to injure him or any competitor. I would never injure him or anyone in any match that I have or even had wrestled in my career. Okay there was this one time I almost did to one competitor but that was because he was a former tag team partner and he turned on me and we had some of the bloodiest battles all over the independent circuit. Yes it culminated in a very violent and bloody war and yes I almost ended his career but I held it in and ended the feud between us with me winning."
(He looks upwards sighing before he looks back at the camera again.)
Xiaolong: "So Eddie Havok I do have that bit of a dark side but I keep it in and like I mentioned before I never set out to hurt anyone at anytime. You forget that injuries occur all the time and in wrestling that's exactly what happens when a move doesn't go right. I'm sure you had that happen to you too on a number of occasions just like me when I compete in a wrestling match."
(Xiaolong grins.)
Xiaolong: "I'm sure those ghosts haunt you just like those ghosts haunt me too. Yet like I mentioned I never set out to hurt anyone including Rob Garcia and I know he'll be back in no time to challenge whoever is the NPW North American Cruiserweight Champion. It's inevitable that he's going to return whether anyone realizes it or not."
(He grabs the top ropes and skins the cat into the ring.)
Xiaolong: "I can assure you I accept my role always as either the hero or the heel. I know the ringsiders will be cheering you a lot more than they will me but I'm not going to let that affect me since I know and accept my role just like the ghosts of the past accept their roles of not leaving the places of their memories."
(Xiaolong leans on the ropes and looks at the camera.)
Xiaolong: "It's just like this gym Eddie Havok. This gym doesn't just smell like a gym but like all the other gyms it has the ghosts of past fighters and I respect that quite a bit because like my friends in SWAT Team Fairtex always says it's tradition. Believe me like Team Fairtex it's tradition for me to respect the gym you train in and those who train with you."
(He takes off his jacket and shirt.)
Xiaolong: "I'm very psyched about getting into the ring with you for the NPW North American Cruiserweight Championship. It's going to be quite interesting and whoever wins will have quite a run defending the championship. So Eddie Havok I'll see you in the ring."
(Xiaolong starts doing warm up exercises as the scene slowly fades to black.)
