- Matthew Saunders proved that he's not to be threatened or trifled with. Matthew Saunders also proved that he's willing to do whatever it takes to protect the wrestling organizations that compete under the NAWC Banner at all costs. Sato Watanabe found this out first hand at Tag Wars II, when Saunders enlisted the services of Aaron Vasquez to ensure that 'business' was done the proper way. Vasquez inserted himself in the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championship match by taking Watanabe out of the equation - which allowed Bloodline to use the distraction to their advantage. The result is that we have brand new Champions in the way of the reformed group that goes by the name of Bloodline
- Speaking of Bloodline - while they were on the receiving end of an assist from Vasquez, it doesn't appear that they were involved in the planning. While some dirt sheets believe that Vasquez might be willing to align himself with Bloodline, my insiders tell me that Saunders paid Vasquez to ensure the Imperial Crown Tag Team Titles didn't leave Canada with an unknown return date. Also, Bloodline have been doing everything in their power to eliminate Dusty Griffith in recent months - and there is a history between Aaron Vasquez and The 'Wild Bronco' dating back to their days in Wrestle Coast: Cascadia - as well as the World Wrestling Alliance. Will we see these two former rivals lock horns once again in Northern Pro Wrestling? Is Dusty Griffith fit to take on all three members of Bloodline on his own? Time will tell.
- We have a brand new Canadian Commonwealth Champion - and he is none other than wrestling's living Icon; Eric Dane. Dane finally accepted Oxford Osland's offer to wrestle, and Dane took advantage of Osland's tunnel vision. Osland assumed that with the numbers advantage in his back pocket, he would be able to make quick work of Dane, and finally send the Hall of Famer into retirement. As Osland's plan started to unfold, he didn't account for the fact that he has made a few sworn enemies on his way to the top, and that was what became his demise. Kenneth Marshall and Liam Beesley made sure that the championship match would remain 1 on 1, and in doing so - completely befuddled the former champion. Eric Dane has been in these situations numerous times through out his career, and when the odds were even, he showed the wrestling world that he still has a lot left in his gas tank. Word is, Eric Dane will be back in Northern Pro Wrestling throughout June, and will address the organization as to his future plans very shortly.
- Speaking of Northern Pro Wrestling - there are a few announcements that are in the pipeline as we head into the summer months. The first major announcement is that August on the Atlantic is set to take place on August 1st and 2nd. This will be the second rendition of the event, where the stars of the NAWC will compete on the sand of the Atlantic Ocean. Barring any setbacks in regards to the COVID-19 Pandemic - feel free to mark your calendar's for this two day event. More details on this epic two day event will be made available in the near future.
- Northern Pro Wrestling has just announced that they will be hosting 3 events in the month of June. These events will follow the same guidelines as the two recent events that took place in May. Fans will not be permitted to watch the events from the arena - but will be able to purchase them for $2.99 on the NAWC website. The first event is set for June 12th, and it will be headlined by a Canadian Heritage Championship match between rivals Gordon Carlson and Ralph Erickson. This rivalry has reached it's breaking point, as the two Canadian grapplers look to settle their differences once and for all - with the CHC on the line.
- The June 19th Event will be headlined by a North American Cruiserweight Championship match between Tyrone Walker and Willard Manchester. Walker and Manchester fought to a 20 minute draw during the Cruiserweight Cup earlier this year - and the former champion believes that it's only a matter of time before he regains the championship he lost last fall. Walker has been itching to get back into the ring and defend the championship he earned a few months ago. A couple of potential wild card scenario's to keep your eye on. Will Leon Van Zandt accompany Manchester to the ring for this opportunity? If so, will Tyrone Walker counter with his long time Team Danger teammate; Stephen Greer? Stay Tuned.
Finally, our event on June 26th will be headlined by a 10 Man Battle Royal, where the winner will earn a championship match of their choosing at a later date. The participants have yet to be announced, but I have been told that any current champion in NPW will be taking part. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to breakthrough, and become a major player in Northern Pro Wrestling as we head into the second half of 2020. More information will be made available in the coming weeks.
