- Well, he said he was going to do it and he did it. Eric Dane won the Lethal Lottery and is now the North American Double Crown Champion. In doing so, 'The Only Star' has been leaving bodies battered and broken in his wake. A personal vendetta with 'Maverick' sparked attention at the tail end of 2020. More recently, Dane has been caught up with an old acquittance by the name of Adrien Cochrane. 'The Only Star' certainly takes pride in Northern Pro Wrestling and doesn't take too kindly to 'outsiders' walking into his house and trying to get one over on him. At Vicious Valentine's - Dane and The Syndicate will be squaring off against three of the biggest stars in Northern Pro, all of whom have reasons to seek revenge against The Syndicate. What's ahead is still to be determined, but I would bet that Eric Dane has a plan in place to keep the North American Double Crown firmly within his grasp.
- Scott Steel has been handing out beatings left, right and centre since he made his debut in the fall of 2020. We've come to understand that Scott has a love of animals, and a fascination with women who workout together. In an act of kindness, Scott has even gone as far as to offer some of his beloved Protein Powder to a potential suitor. As of late, Steel has faired well in tag team action alongside Jesse Jamester. At present, The Syndicate have enough points to challenge for the XHF Tag Team Championships and have made it clear that they plan to do so next month. More Gold and More Power for The Syndicate? That's a scary thought.
- Congratulations are in order for Eron Hunter; who captured the 3rd Annual Cruiserweight Cup in stunning fashion. After an early Match of the Year candidate victory over Gebin to make it to the final four - Hunter showed true grit and determination by fending off Chris Cavanagh and Jay Stevens to win the tournament. Hunter displayed a true warriors spirit in victory, taking the best shots of his opponents and refusing to stay down. Although beaten down from his opening match against 'Trigger', Hunter showed tremendous ring awareness when he was able to reverse out of troubling submission and turn it into a pinfall over Jay Stevens. Hunter now holds victories over the who's who of the Cruiserweight Division, and finds himself with an immense amount of momentum heading into his XHF Jr. Heavyweight Championship bout against MYOJIN. Will Eron Hunter be the first Northern Pro Wrestler to lift XHF Gold? Stay Tuned.
- Speaking of Eron Hunter and the Syndicate - Jesse Jamester appears to have taken a liking to Hunter's warrior spirit. A few weeks ago, Jamester sought Hunter out after a hard fought loss against Jay Stevens in the preliminary round. Prior to the final four, 'JJ' approached Hunter again and offered his loyalty. As of yet, Eron Hunter hasn't broken his silence to offer any insight as to his thoughts in regards to Jamester's advances. This is definitely a situation to monitor.
- Jay Stevens has proven to be one of the most talented wrestlers on the Northern Pro Roster. In suffering his first loss within the promotion to Eron Hunter, one has to wonder how the young superstar might bounce back. While Jay has certainly earned himself a seat at the table when it comes to championship opportunities, he hasn't issued any challenges in that regard. Up next, an opportunity to move up the ladder in the tag team division with his 'Wrecking Crew' Teammate; Jordan Neal by his side. A side note - There has been a lot of talk as of late about Stevens' history and what that might mean for his future. Speaking of The Wrecking Crew ; A Huge congratulations goes out to Nicole Anderson as she defeated The Industrial Woman to become the SWAT Amazon Champion. Bravo.
- John Cavanagh is the unquestioned leader of the Celtic Club, and his crew have made waves from the moment they signed their contracts with Northern Pro Wrestling. Chris Cavanagh must've made his older brother proud with his recent performance in the CWC. John now has an opportunity of his own at Vicious Valentine's. Should John emerge victorious in the triple threat match against Leon Van Zandt and Shawn Kutter, John will have earned himself a championship opportunity of his choosing. The Celtic Club are so diverse that they could conceivably challenge for any of the three championships in Northern Pro Wrestling with John's blessing. Now that's power.
- Leon Van Zandt might have something to say about The Celtic Club running roughshod over NPW. The Belgian Warrior is undefeated in NPW, and holds an impressive list of victories over some of the top superstars within the promotion. 'LVZ' stood up to Bloodline and showed great chemistry with Jay Stevens, so this could always play as an option should Leon so choose. Should Leon win and choose to go at it alone, Then 'The Only Star' better be ready.
- What in the world is going on with Primal? After handing out gifts to his colleagues, Primal felt as though his generosity wasn't appreciated. After barely being able to find his way to the ring, Primal was distracted by his broken heart and fell victim to that dreaded school boy roll up. This is certainly something to monitor, as Primal's emotional roller coaster continues. Perhaps someone ought to send him a thank you card? It might make the workplace a safer environment for the rest of us.
- 'Timeless' Alex Turner has been on the tip of everyone's tongue. (What else is new.) We have to give the man credit, he says and does what he wants and cares very little what anyone thinks about it. In a moment that will live in infamy, NPW closed 2020 with Timeless holding both The North American Double Crown and the X*Crown Championships over his head. While it's still early, this could genuinely be a sign of what's to come in 2021. How about those 'Timey's'? Creative, REAL and Offensive all rolled into one? Sounds about right. Timeless finds himself aligned with two men with the same common enemy at Vicious Valentine's. They better hope to be on the same page, or it could end up being a brutal display of violence where they're on the receiving end.
- Joseph Mack seemingly came out of nowhere to steal the hearts and imaginations of the NPW Faithful. If Gus Arnold and Liam Beasley believe that he's a can't miss prospect - then the wrestling world should be put on notice. Want proof? How about Mack's performance against Eric Dane a few weeks ago? If it hadn't have been for the 3 on 1 situation - I have no doubt that Joseph Mack would be our new North American Double Crown Champion. Like a true pro, Mack took it on the chin and didn't make any excuses while vowing to get the job done next time. I can assure you, that 'next time' will be there when the time is right, and I believe that Mack may want to enlist some backup to ensure a fair fight.
- The North American Cruiserweight Champion; 'The Real' Lord Dominicus seems to be going through an identity crisis of sorts. Many of 'LD's' attempts at evil and hate have seemingly brought more love and joy than intended. Couple that with the fact that the Northern Pro Audience was seemingly ready to riot at the end of the Lethal Lottery when 'LD' was tied up in the ropes and helpless to defend himself against The Syndicate. As each week passes, the adoration for 'LD' seems to grow. Beyond that, our Cruiserweight Champion has set the bar extremely high inside of the ring. With the Cruiserweight Cup in the rearview mirror, there will be no shortage of challengers who are chomping at the bit for an opportunity at Lord Dominicus' coveted championship.
- The New Untouchables of Jeffrey Daniels and Lee Scott R. are bringing a high energy and fun loving approach to their matches thus far in Northern Pro Wrestling. Wrestling historians are aware of The New Untouchables taking on the mantra from wrestling legend Jeff Andrews. Andrews has a long and storied history with Eric Dane, and while this hasn't lead to any immediate paybacks for Dane's actions towards his trainee's - we know that he's well aware of what happened. Patience is a virtue and something tells me that this situation is far from over.
