- August on the Atlantic III is in our rearview mirrors, and it's safe to say that the two day spectacular lived up to expectations. Lord Dominicus was successful in defending the North American Double Crown against his nemesis - Niko, in a hard fought battle that could've gone either way. As is the case with the Dark Stars as of late, they decided to take out their frustrations on 'LD' after the bell. This prompted Lynx who had been watching from the parking lot, to hit the ring to even the odds. 'LD' and Lynx have shared the ring as teammates on a few occasions and have been able to rely on one and other. What can't be avoided, is the fact that Lynx made sure to take a second and third look at Lord Dominicus' North American Double Crown before handing it over and shaking his hand. Could this be a spoiler for what's to come? Will these two pillars of Northern Pro Wrestling finally test themselves against each other inside of the ring?
- Speaking of Lynx, the man we've come to know as Eron Hunter made it clear that he will continue to wear the mask and fight as his alter ego until he has eliminated Keith Williams as a threat. We all saw what Keith did to 'Lynx' last month, and we're certain that it's only a matter of time before these two lock horns inside of the ring. In the meantime, Keith Williams and Jesse Jamester seem intent on waging war with one and other. Keith called out the 'Canadian Nightmare' and Jesse was happy to oblige. The rivalry seems to encompass all three men, as Lynx has made it clear that he's watching Jesse's every move and still can decide if he's a changed man or not. Which leads us to one of our main event matches on August 25th, as The ReVenant duo of Neo James Carner and Keith Williams will challenge Lynx and Jesse Jamester to a tag team match. Can Lynx and 'JJ' co-exist? Will the Rev's continue to stir the pot? How will Lord Dominicus call this match being that he's the special guest referee and has exchanged words with Williams in recent time, and has an ally in Lynx on the other side of the ring? Tune in to witness this massive match take place in just under a week.
- 'D' has proven to be a fighting champion, and has taken on all comers since he won the Northern Openweight Championship this past spring. A victory over Steve Awesome should be considered a major deal, as one half of the XHF Tag Team Champions and former X*Crown Champion is legend in these parts. With NPW: Honor gradually gaining momentum, we've come to learn that 'D' will be defending the Northern Openweight Championship on September 13th against three other foes! Gus Arnold believes the division is thriving and believes this match will only further solidify the division as MUST SEE.
- Speaking of Steve Awesome, the ongoing saga with Esmerelda Von Krauss has everyone's attention and has been turning heads all over the promotion since the two debuted in the spring. Will Steve give into 'EVK's' advances? Will he finally give her the child that she desires? Where does Armand sit in regards to this whole ordeal? Is Steve Awesome a dead man walking regardless of which decision he makes? 'D" tried to lend a hand on a few occasions and ended up with a super kick for his troubles, so it appears as though Awesome has his eyes on the Northern Openweight Championship and could be using Esmerelda as a decoy or a shield to mask his true intentions. The saga continues, as Gus Arnold put Awesome and EVK together in a mixed tag team match on the next show to see what type of chemistry the two have 'inside of the ring', since we've already had as glimpse of what that looks like elsewhere.
- There is a massive fatal 4way match set to take place on August 25th and the prize for being victorious is to stand across the ring from 'D' on September 13th as one of his challengers. All four men are capable, and each of them bring a unique dynamic to the contest. What is clear, all four have impressed Gus Arnold to a degree and Gus believes the cream rises to the top. Who is going to seize the opportunity and carry onto the main event on September 13th? Takaru Matsui? The warrior from the land of the rising sun has proven to be a lethal blend of technical wrestling and expert striking. Ronnie Long? The former World Champion seems to have turned over a new leaf - but that's not going to stop his past from showing up to remind him of his past wrong doings. Edward Zepp? The big man isn't going to talk just to talk. He walks the walk and has proven to be a top competitor within the promotion in a short period of time. Andrew Morgan? With a huge win over Primal at AOTAIII, and a history of being one of the toughest men in our sport, it's clear why he's been chosen for this opportunity. Who will secure the big victory?
- Speaking of Primal, he and his partner Alex Turner had a rough time at AOTAIII. Both have vowed to turn things around in short order while also taking out their frustrations on their next opponents. HNDRXX shocked the world when he dawned the El Guapo attire to ruin the Anniversary of Alex Turner's signing with Northern Pro Wrestling. If I know anything about 'Timeless' he's not going to let that slide. As for Primal, word is he's looking to turn on the intensity, and leave a trail of broken bodies in the process. Let sleeping dogs lie? Don't poke the bear? All of the above applies here. The Imperial Crown Tag Team Champions are on the top of the tag team division, but expect some serious challenges to come their way this fall.
- The Bastards have turned heads since they made their debut at Shockwave. Gus Arnold knows that he's not dealing with a group of rookies, and know's their capable of headlining events anywhere in the world with their talent. So why wait? Gus believes that testing them against two of the best teams in Northern Pro Wrestling will determine who the next challengers for the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships will be. It won't be easy, as the Former Champions; The Dark Stars are chomping at the bit and have becoming perpetual challengers in just about every division in Northern Pro Wrestling. As well, I-69 have stubbed their toes as of late, but these two are highly regarded overseas and look to show that level of success here in Northern Pro Wrestling.
- Jay Stevens has been a key player from the moment he signed his contract. Gus Arnold makes no bones about the fact that his demeanour and the way he carries himself reminds him of a younger version of himself from back in the 1970's when he was breaking into the sport. Jay is coming off a big victory over Marcus Smith, and his reign at the top of Cruiserweight division is picking up steam. Enter newcomer - Lochlyn Cade. Cade knows that the assumption is that he's being served up to the champion, but he begs to differ and plans on proving that inside of the ring on August 25th. After defeating Johnny Sniper on the Friday the 13th version of Honor - Cade was impressive and appears ready to make waves within the promotion. This match is non title, but the winner will have earned a huge victory to carry forward. This match could steal the show.
- Speaking of Gus Arnold and wrestlers he likes. Donzig DOES NOT fall into that category. In fact, Donzig seems intent on ruffling Gus' feathers and taking him to task. One would argue that this might be career suicide, but Donzig either doesn't care or believes otherwise. The exchange between the two of them at AOTAIII was intense, and Donzig believes that Gus purposely left him off the August 25th event to send him a message. How was this message received? knowing Donzig, not well. Will Donzig sid idly by, or will he continue to challenge the owner of the company? Time will tell.
- Rob Garcia has hinted at making some changes to his lifestyle as of late, and lord knows what that might mean. Either way, a confident Garcia is a dangerous Garcia. He has a big match coming up against Freakke on the 25th, which is a huge bout for both men. The winner will move up, while the loser will continue to roll around in a pile of mediocrity. Expect an intense battle between two veterans!
- Hot off the press! The KGB will be returning to Northern Pro Wrestling on September 8th to defend their newly won XHF Trios Championships! What could this possibly mean for Northern Pro Wrestling, as we all know that the KGB rolls deep. Their Opponents? How about the former Imperial Crown Tag Team Champions; The Dark Stars and their ally; Xialong? This match will headline our show on September 8th, and should set the tone for what is expected to be an amazing final four months of 2021 for Northern Pro Wrestling.
