Wrestler Information
Name: Kirsty McKinney
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 149 lbs
Hometown: Bluefield, West Virginia, USA
Birthdate: June 1998
Pic Base : Carriejune Bowlby
Wrestler's Ring Attire: Kirsty wears a wrestling singlet with high cut legs, navy blue with gold trim, and white boots. No elbow or knee pads. No entrance attire. All business.
Wrestler's Backstage Attire: Before she was a wrestler Kirsty was a farmgirl, and she's more at home in old jeans, loose t-shirts and work boots than anything else, but she'll also wear climate-appropriate workout gear in situations that call for it. She doesn't do the overt fanservice thing often, but isn't above wearing a miniskirt the size of a cocktail napkin to formal affairs.
History:
Kirsty McKinney grew up in McDowell County, WV. Not in Bluefield as her bio states, but on a farm a half hours drive from it. Her parents raised goats and sold milk and artisan cheeses, and from a very young age Kirsty was working long hours and picking up grappling instincts from handling the goats. She first started wrestling in middle school, excelled at it, continued to excel at it in high school, and got a little bit of local infamy when she participated in a toughman fight during her senior year and lost to a female mechanic 30 years her senior (wrestling is great, but it doesn't teach one how to throw or take a punch).
She was still given a full academic scholarship to Oklahoma University, but that ended with her getting expelled for fighting another student. She returned to her parents farm much bitterer than she was when she left.
In March 2020, when the coronavirus panic was at its highest and states were closing their borders, Jeff Andrews had been running a wrestling promotion out of Wheeling WV called Andrews*Promotions. Seeking local talent to replace his talent that was stranded out of state and familiar with Kirsty from the aforementioned toughman thing, he managed to track her down and offered to train her in professional wrestling. She reluctantly accepted, since with having been expelled from college she didn't have any other way to make money off her amateur wrestling and didn't want to spend her life on a goat farm.
A*P closed but Kirsty continued her training. She cut a swathe through the West Virginia independent scene, which honestly isn't that impressive a feat (at 149 lbs she outweighed half the guys she wrestled). Jeff Andrews deemed that she was ready to wrestle real talent, and negotiated a contract with NPW in the XHF.
Unfortunately for Kirsty, Andrews had some family problems that had nothing to do with wrestling come up, and without him there to advocate for her, her improvement plateaued and her bookings decreased. Enter Daeriq Damien. An old enemy of Andrews' who'd first gotten involved in NPW due to Ronnie Long, he decided to take Kirsty under his wing. Although antagonizing Andrews and Long may be his primary goal, Damien is sincere in his desire to help Kirsty improve as a wrestler - or more specifically, improve as _his kind_ of wrestler.
Alignment: Face
Psychological Make-up:
Kirsty is a little bit lost. She'd planned her life around amateur wrestling and between getting expelled from one of the few places that offered scholarships for women's wrestling and not having the money to join a good wrestling or MMA gym, she signed up with Jeff Andrews and switched over to pro wrestling because it was the only real offer on the table for her, not because she necessarily wanted it.
Then Jeff Andrews had to leave the wrestling business, leaving her even more lost. When Daeriq Damien showed up and offered to take over where Andrews left off, she went with it because again, she didn't have anything else on the table.
Entrance Theme: "In Walks Barbarella" - Clutch
Wrestler's Entrance: As "In Walks Barbarella" by Clutch rips across the PA system, Kirsty McKinney wastes no time walking through the curtains, throwing one fist in the air. Not pausing on the stage, she breaks into a slow jog as she heads to the ring. Rolling in she tests the ropes with her back a couple times then retreats to her corner, where she does some knee bends to limber up while waiting for (her opponent/the bell).
List up to three strengths your character possesses:
1. Seriously good stamina. Even before she started wrestling on mats she was used to putting in the odd 12 hour workday, and she can go in the ring hard for 15+ minutes easily
2. Ring awareness. It's not exactly the same as in amateur wrestling but she's been wrestling long enough that knowing where she is is second nature to her
3. Very good grappling technique. Some very basic pinning combinations that are distractions when used by most wrestlers are dangerous in her hands.3.
List up to three weaknesses:
1. Stark lack of standing striking offense - she's working on it, but still little to offer besides standard wrestling soupbones, kitchen sinks and front kicks.
2. A little too arrogant about her "real" wrestling skill versus her opponents, underestimates pro wrestling techniques
3. Zero aerial skills. Is smart enough not to try, but opponents never have to worry about her coming off the turnbuckle

Moves
15-20 Moves Your Wrestler Uses:
1. Single leg takedown
2. Double leg takedown
3. Ground n' pound strikes, particularly elbows
4. Running back elbow
5. Overhead belly to belly suplex
6. German suplex
7. Snap suplex
8. Guillotine choke (standing or kneeling, NEVER sitting)
9. Scarf hold
10. Keylock
11. Haymaker/Soupbone punches
12. Kitchen sink knee
13. Release german suplex
14. Russian legsweep
15. Chickewing camel clutch
16. Full power stack pin
17. Chickenwing stack pin
18. Figure 4 headscissor pin
19. Full cradle pin
20. Crucifix pin
2-4 Signature Moves:
1. Lifting double leg takedown slam
2. Dragon screw legwhip (great counter to a blocked single leg takedown)
3. Alabama Slam
4. Wheelbarrow Suplex
Primary Finisher's Description: Kirsty doesn't really have a 'primary finisher' per se because she mostly finishes matches with flash pins. Any of the last 5 moves in her moveset are potential match enders and she often wins by reversing her opponents' trademarks or finishers into one of them.
Other Finishers: Pittie Choke (Bulldog Choke. Kirsty gave it a gimmick name because "I don't just end matches with it I try to break necks" but it's really just a (very well applied) bulldog choke). This is usually reserved for when she's more interested in incapacitating an opponent than winning the match.
Manager/Valet's Section
Name: Daeriq Damien
Description: Damien stands 6 foot 6. Black hair, a tad curly, worn longish (to the bottom of the neck) and combed back, with a pronounced widows peak. (For comparison sake, Ed Leslie during his time as The Butcher in WCW). Generally wears pale suits with darker shirts as a manager. He just has that look that says 'I'm up to no good and completely untrustworthy.' The suit conceals a brace on his left arm that runs shoulder to elbow. Damien has use of his left hand with very limited strength and full mobility in his left shoulder, but can't bend his elbow without manually adjusting his brace with his right hand.
Does your manager interfere? No.
What's the backstory on the relationship?
Damien is a former wrestler that came from the same circle as Jeff Andrews (Kirsty's original mentor/manager) and NPW star Ronnie Long, which is how he got involved in Kirsty's career.
Damien had always before been able to manipulate Long, but when he tried it in NPW, it simply didn't work. So he moved on to Kirsty.

Completely undecided on whether she'd rather be a face or a heel (her feelings on the matter change regularly) and still somewhat snobbish about 'pro' wrestling in general (c'mon everyone knows someone who mat wrestled in high school who gets spitting mad at the very thought of pro wrestling, until recently this was Kirsty), she's struggling to make sense of her new career. But naturally athletic, highly trained, in incredible shape and naturally competitive, she's sunk her teeth into it and regardless of who her manager is or how the crowd's reacting to her, she wants to win matches and get better.
One thing about Kirsty's personality is that, whether she's working face or heel, in her opinion a technical pinfall against a fully conscious and resisting opponent is a more emphatic way to win a match than mostly knocking them out with a finisher and then pinning them lazily. It's even more emphatic than a submission win, because to her, it seems worse to not want to lose and have to lose anyway (technical pinfall) than to give up and lose anyway (submission).

As she's still figuring out her in-ring 'body language', Kirsty doesn't have many of these yet.
1. If she picks an ankle or intercepts a kick, she'll grin and shake her head 'no' at her opponent before executing either a power single leg takedown or a dragonscrew leg whip

Damien had always before been able to manipulate Long, but when he tried it in NPW, it simply didn't work. So he moved on to Kirsty.
Damien is very much a devil in plain sight. Aside from the fact that he was a heel his entire career as an active wrestler (1999-2008), he's just obviously a bad guy. And the worst part is, he's not doing anything to prove it aside from being a man with greasy hair in a white suit. Whatever his long term plans for Kirsty are, his short term plans seem to just be training her to wrestle (and to be fair to him, his more technical style makes him a better teacher for someone with her skillset than Andrews was), and letting her do her own thing - and although she's not fully decided she's definitely tilting face-ish.
So what is he up to? No one knows and that's the problem...
