Blake Samuels: "Hello Wrestling fans, and welcome to this edition of NPW Spotlight. I'm your host, Blake Samuels."
[Blake is dressed in a three piece suit, his hair dark hair is perfectly kept. The camera zooms in, and one of the voice's of Northern Pro Wrestling speaks.]
BS: "With the recent announcement that the North American Double Crown is going to be on the line at the next Northern Pro Event, I thought it was time to take a closer look at one of the wrestlers that has been a staple from the moment he signed his contract. The type of competitor that is loyal, and waves the Northern Pro flag with pride. That man, is Eron Hunter - also known as; Lynx."
[We Cut Away.]
[Blake Samuels is now a voice over, as the screen is filled with images and highlights from Eron Hunter's past.]
BS: "Before Eron Hunter signed his contract with Northern Pro Wrestling, the young lion cut his teeth all over Europe. in 2018, the young warrior was able to make history when he captured the MAX Japan Jr. Heavyweight Championship in stunning fashion. 'Lynx'- as he was known in the land of the rising sun, put together an impressive win streak as he fended off challenges from some of the promotions best. Unfortunately, in early 2019, MAX Japan would close it's doors for good, leaving Lynx without a home."
[There is a montage of moments from Lynx's run in MAX-J. In the background, the never emding support of the fans shines through. They praise his work ethic, and salute his fearlessness.]
BS: "Lynx would put his mask aside in North American, and be known to the wrestling world by his government name; Eron Hunter. Hunter would have a strong showing in the House of Strong Style's - Strong Style Summit, where he went toe to toe with some of the bigger and more powerful athletes that the promotion housed. This is where Eron Hunter forged a friendship with Gus Arnold's prized student; Kenneth Marshall. Through Hunter's connection with Marshall, he was able to get on Gus Arnold's radar as a 'can't miss' signing for Gus's Northern Pro Wrestling promotion based in Eastern Canada."
[We watch as Marshall and Hunter show their alliance in H.O.S.S in a skirmish against malicious foes. Fast forward to a clip of Hunter attempting a high risk attack on an opponent.]
BS: "Having Kenneth Marshall vouch for him, Hunter soon found himself working for Gus Arnold and Northern Pro Wrestling in 2020. Intent on continuing his success in North America, Hunter would stand tall against all challenges and immediately capture the hearts of the Northern Pro faithful. It was here that Eron Hunter would forge a friendship with another one of Gus Arnold's long line of workers - in Gordon Carlson. Carlson and Hunter agreed to represent Northern Pro Wrestling in a Tag Team Tournament at End of Days. But just days before the tournament was set to commence - disaster struck."
[Highlights of Eron Hunter's rehab on his sprained knee.]
BS: "Hunter would sprain his knee in training and be forced out of the ring for nearly four months. Doctor's warned that his recovery would be a tough one, but with the proper fortitude, the young grappler would be able to make a full recovery. Nothing could've put that theory to the test in a better way than the 2021 Cruiserweight Cup! The 8 man round robin tournament hosted the best wrestlers under 225 pounds in the world. It would be Eron Hunter that would outshine them all, and reach the pinnacle by defeating former North American Cruiserweight Champion; Jay Stevens in the finals."
[We watch highlights of what many say deserves to be match of the year. Hunter and Stevens going back and forth, before Hunter caught Jay with a flash pin to secure the victory.]
BS: "The victory propelled Hunter into the mainstream, and allotted him an opportunity to challenge another champion in his weight class. This match was designed to put the best, against the best. While Hunter fell just short of winning this match, his effort and tenacity made him a bonafide 'made man' in Northern Pro Wrestling."
[Clip.]
Inside of the ring, Eron Hunter was on his knees with his face in his hands - still trying to come to terms with what had just happened. It appeared as though he had the advantage in the match and was searching out a victory, but it was to no avail. Hunter finally raised his head and looked down the aisle to see Jesse Jamester turning his back, and walking back up the ramp. We could see Hunter starting to fire himself up, knowing full well that he never 'asked' for any of the attention he was receiving for JJ, and when he gave JJ an honest answer in regards to his future plans - that should've been respected man to man.
Hunter walked towards the rope and pointed in the direction of JJ, who had exited the ring area, and didn't seem to be coming back. On cue, the fans chanted for Hunter, having won them over once again with his positive attitude and gusty effort.
THANK YOU HUNTER!!!

Hunter snapped out of it, and looked around the arena to see his adoring fans standing and applauding his efforts. His words were true. While he might've lost this match, he was never going to be defeated. Hunter raised his hand, and another roaring of applause followed - before the young warrior bowed, and rolled out of the ring. Hunter slapped hands with the fans and waved to them once he hit the top of the ramp to close the show.
[Back Live.]
BS: "Truly breathtaking. We would be remiss if we didn't highlight the fact that Eron Hunter was being actively recruited by Jesse Jamester. Jamester saw potential and wanted to 'take Hunter under his wing'. Eron Hunter felt that 'JJ's' advances were self serving, and his actions spoke of a man that was carrying around a heavy chest, and a hole host of demons. It was here that this budding rivalry was elevated and took on an identity of it's own."
[Eron Hunter and Jesse Jamester face to face.]
[Highlights are shown of some of their bitter interactions.]
BS: "Gus Arnold knew that this rivalry had gone on long enough, and decided to put the two of them in the ring together once and for all to settle the score. There was no doubt, a rivalry of this level needed to be showcased as such. NPW's Shockwave pay pre view was capped off by a vicious match between Lynx and Jesse Jamester. In the end, it would be the 'Canadian Nightmare' that had is hand raised when he collided with Hunter full force and fell on top of him. In what was an emotional ending, the two warrior shook hands and vowed to move forward peacefully and respectfully."
[Enter Keith Williams.]
BS: "The Great White Terror came to Northern Pro Wrestling with a hellacious reputation. It wouldn't take long for Williams to set his sights on Hunter when Eron inadvertently ripped his moustache during a fatal fourway match to determine the number one contender to the Northern Openweight Championship. Nobody could've predicted or foreseen what happened next. Just weeks later, Keith Williams pounced and treated Eron Hunter like a prized kill that he had poached from the African Jungle. In an act of cowardice and in an attempt to humiliate the young warrior - Keith Williams put Hunter's Lynx mask over his face and proceeds to slice him deeply. The cut was a deep one, and blood poured down from Hunter's skull as Keith stood beneath him in a white jacket consuming the moment as his own."
[Clip.]
[The fans try to warn Eron that a threat is near, but he's too curious why there's a chain hanging down from above. Slipping a metal spike out of his pocket, Keith holds it high before driving the point of the weapon deep into the shoulder blade of Eron Hunter. Spinning around, Hunter stops another attempt at stabbing him, holding the arm that's grasping the spike as he struggles to disarm Keith.]
[Expressionless, Williams headbutts Hunter in the face repeatedly. WHACK! WHACK! WHACK! Flesh and bone meets a plastic shield that Keith started wearing after Eron damaged his mustache beyond repair.]
[Dazed and his defenses weakened, Hunter is open to a second attack from the spike by the Great White Terror. Targeting his forehead, Keith jabs the sharp end down into the ripe head meat and doesn't stop until there's blood gushing everywhere. On his knees, hands up and covering his face as a last ditch effort to protect himself, Hunter is bicycle kicked in the side of the head.]
[His all white suit now stained with blood, Keith keeps on the offensive, stomping Eron until there's zero movement or response from the cruiserweight. Williams using his foot, pushes Hunter onto his back. Dragging the spike in a jagged line across Eron's chest, KW leaves behind a gruesome wound that pours red.]
[Satisfied with his handiwork, Williams removes a torn Lynx mask from his jacket and hastily puts it on his victim. Grabbing hold of the cable that descended, Keith secures it around the ankles of Eron Hunter, checking that it's snug before signaling to someone to raise it. Slowly but surely, the chain is dragged upward along with Eron Hunter until he's hanging several feet above the ring where he stops. Handed a microphone from a company stooge, the Great White Terror steps underneath the man he stabbed to a bloody pulp as gore drips down further discoloring his clothes.]
[Back.]
BS: "Since then, Eron Hunter has vowed to get even and has made it known that the Lynx mask is now part of his persona until he eliminates Keith Williams once and for all. He will get that chance in a few short weeks when both men are set to challenge for the North American Double Crown Championship."
[Blake is back in present now.]
BS: "There is a lot riding on the preparation for this match for Lynx. Not only will he be staring across the ring at his number one rival. He will also be challenging a man that he has viewed as an ally. But in this sport, there is only room for one man at the top. The North American Double Crown is proof of that. Lynx has made it apparent that he plans to bring his very best to the ring with hopes of securing the top prize in Northern Pro Wrestling. As an outsider, and someone who is both a fan of this sport and as someone who studies these athletes..."
[Blake pauses for effect.]
BS: "I, for one believe that this could be Lynx's destiny. You want to talk about matches for the ages? Matches that define one's career? Look no further than this upcoming contest between Lynx, Keith Williams and the defending 'NADC' - Lord Dominicus."
[...]
BS: "For NPW Spotlight, I'm Blake Samuels. We will see you next time."
