“Lord Dominicus skirts around with gold. He’s nothing more than a masked comedian.”
We see Jesse Jamester leaning against the wall in the backstage area. His son Julius stands across from him in dress pants, clean black shoes, and a silver vest with a white undershirt. Arms rolled up, Julius doesn’t dawn the same ink his dad does, oddly enough he has no ink. Dressed to impress though, Julius stares on at his dad as he continues to talk.
Jamester: Men make a lot of noise when they are trying to be funny. They think loud is impressive, that it means they hold power. Loudest man in the room is normally the weakest.
Julius: What if you’re yelling from excitement or adrenaline?
Jamester: Then you can’t control yourself. That’s weakness. Emotions are fickle, finding yourself caring about things that don’t matter will cause you to fail. Look at me, I focused on Anthony Caffrey at the Rumble, where’d it get me?
Julius: Almost the win.
Jamester: Horse shoes and hand grenades kid. I didn’t win, because I lost focus. It’s not happening again. I got my licks on Caffrey, until he shows up again that’s dealt with. Now, it’s on to Hunter. It’s his turn.
Julius: Is he really worth all this effort? What’s he got that someone else doesn’t?
Jamester: Eron is the type that keeps getting up. He’s a dog that got ran over and doesn’t know he’s dying. He’s that runt of the pack, who eventually faces a challenge to see if it can survive with the rest. I’m that test Jewls, I’m what he has to survive.
Julius: Then why not one on one?
Jamester: because he’s not ready.
