“You’ll see the same old song and dance from half the roster tonight. All of them plugging their shit, hoping they got the final word in. Jiving for an opportunity to say something clever, something cute, something the media bytes on and uses for all their click-bait headlines. I’m the fucking headline, whether you like it or not, this is a bunch of teams facing the Colossus and Jesse Jamester, and it’s us you have to run through!”
Stepping back from the podium, Jesse Jamester is seen in his full ring gear. This time though, the interview room is dark with a spotlight, and no interviewers are present. This segment is one being done using the new LIVE recording studio out of the NPW headquarters in Mississauga. A satellite producing studio that was brought in during the pandemic using semi truck crates and quickly became more efficient as its own location.
A green light shot up from under the podium and at Jesse Jamester’s chin, causing this green aura to reflect on his black mask and in the white of his attire. The whole setting looked like someone had broken ooze on the lens of a microscope, causing a radioactive yet reptilian effect while the shadows leaned into the horror movie genre. One thing was for sure, the Canadian Nightmare was at home here. These vignettes were his speciality, and normally meant a bombshell was going to be dropped. Last time he approached this podium, it was about Eric Dane.
Jesse Jamester: “It’s no secret that you don’t see the Colossus and Jesse Jamester in the back of Northern Pro’s facilities at catering, chumming it up riding together, or even seen remotely in the same side of the building. That is by design. We don’t need to be friends to be the Imperial Crown champions, no, all we need to do is what we did from day one, which is go out there, put boots to faces, pick your asses up and powerbomb every team out there into oblivion!”
Pulling the Imperial Crown title up from his waist, he drapes it over the podium, holding the end so the title belt glows in the spotlight. Sparkling green where the gold is, a shadow of the Canadian crowns placed together to signify the unity of the team.
Jesse Jamester: “Traditional tag team wrestling has been dead here in Northern Pro Wrestling. For fear of the challenge that appeared before you all was daunting. The tower of the Colossus, his unmeasurable strength, his inability to give a fuck about your feelings, not knowing when it was time to stop power bombing you… Yeah, I can see why people fear that. Add in myself, the most maniacal mind in wrestling, and you’ve made a concoction that wars are won from. We are generals of that ring, the men of mayhem, the Powerbomb Potato Gods, and you’re damn right we want to dump you on your head and watch as our stock goes up! It’s the old proverb boys, if you aint on top, you aint nothing, and tonight, you aint nothin’ but another notch on the belts!”
Turning his focus straight to the camera.
Jesse Jamester: “I’ve learned a thing or two about people recently. One, you can’t rely on anyone. If you want something done, you go do it your damn self. Secondly, there is no I in team, but there are two in winning. That’s all the Colossus and I have to do. Imperial Crowns, Northern Pro, they ain’t goin nowhere, get use to it. ”
Abruptly the lights go out, and the scene fades.
