Lochlyn the Tyrant
10.07.21 | vs Rob Garcia
So you’ve seen the playbook to allows you to rise from obscurity and seize control of your career. Believe it or not Robbie, can I call you that, Robbie that power and control that you’ve gained by defeating Freakke and then again but in a three way dance you became a winner. The spoils of victory is yours. Well, except that coveted championship you’d like to be wearing around your waist. No, that you haven’t won and despite your best efforts it still sits across my shoulder like a beacon of light. Robbie, my boy, you’re sailing in some choppy waters. A storm is brewing and your simple not even aware of the chaos surrounding you. That ship you’ve been sailing is taking on water. That ocean is like this Championship I control them both and I’m about to sink that boat that you see as your destroyer.
From day one of my reign I’ve been set with enemies and treacherous rivals eager to dethrone the King of the Cruiserweights. I’ve had to learn a lesson myself Robbie. A lesson that many leaders of history have had to learn the hard way. Confidence without preparation is surely the way those seeking your destruction eventually become successful in their attack. You, Rob Garcia, have a decisive victory over the Champ despite your in ability to compete for the title. It’s something that will change. I can sense it. I know your doing the work to drop a few pounds. And, if at all possible, you look to humiliate and belittle me by again putting a mark of defeat upon my Northern Pro win and loss record.
I’ve got a playbook of my own Robbie. A plan to put my rival in his place. Yes, you’ve gain the title as one of my rivals. You’ve earned it but unlike Championship gold this title isn’t something you wanted to acquire. Now. You’ve got the full attention of the butcher of Norther Pro. The executioner of the cruiserweights. That Robbie Boy is something you did not want, I promise you that one, it’s time The Promethean sets the record straight.
Lochlyn Cade’s words for this coming week have been recorded and will be played for the viewing audience and for his opponent. It’ll be witnessed by hundred of thousands of people that love and enjoy this sport in which we compete. But for now Lochlyn Cade sits at home lounged back, his feet sticking out from the light blanket he enjoys, and his puppy laying at the base of his recliner. It’s the simple life of a professional wrestler we don’t often see.
“There’s a mantra that all leaders must follow, kill or be killed.”
The Promethean despite relaxing is still often times found discussing his career. It’s the thing he enjoys most in life and therefore it’s at the forethought of his daily life. His friend and confidant Eli Hix is visiting for the weekend and their discussion is of great leaders of men.
"You’re no tyrant Loch.”
“And why is that?”
Eli Hix believes that though Lochlyn Cade is brutal yet modest has a side of respect for this business that most men don’t. He’s a student of the history and values the lessons of his predecessors.
“It’s a sport not a country that someone can simply control by fear.”
“Do we not have to crush our rivals to maintain our spot in this sport? Do we not manipulate the hearts and minds of the audience, of our opponents… hell, our families if need be? That sounds like a tyrant to me Eli.”
Lochlyn Cade believes that to stay at the top of the mountain you’ve got to put down your opponents and even potential contenders for his title. If he even vaguely suspects as though someone is a threat he’s preconditioned himself to begin dealing with the threat.
“You know me Eli. Do I not masterfully use my playbook to stay a step ahead of my rivals?”
Lochlyn gives his friend a moment to ponder on his words but doesn’t give him time to respond before again speaking himself.
“Here’s some fast facts of how I made it to the top. Growing up I was a bully Eli and I enjoyed it, I reveled in it. I threatened and intimidated my peers as a kid. I became an enforcer at my school. If you threatened one of my friends you had to go through me. If you looked to hurt someone smaller than you, then you had to fight me. There’s nothing I won’t do to protect what I believe is mine. Robbie Garcia wants what’s mine. Robbie Garcia is going to find out exactly how complicated that task is actually going to be.”
Eli Hix, the guy who Loch trust the most, knows that even if it was him standing across the ring from the Champ that Lochlyn would do everything within his power to end him. It’s just the mindset that he has. You could call it the mindset of a Champion if you want. It’s something you’ve got to have to become more than just a guy with a gold belt. It’s a cut throat mentality. A warrior mindset. It’s ice running through your veins.
Robbie Garcia has one upped the Champion but if he thinks a second go around is going to be just as easy. He’s not only a fool but he’s not understanding the mindset of a Champion. Does Garcia have what it takes? Eli isn’t sure and Lochlyn Cade doesn’t care. He’ll put him down regardless. Garcia isn’t making a name for himself against The Promethean. Not in Northern Pro and not anywhere else in this industry. Guys like Robbie become Champs. They carved out a place in this business for themselves. They just don’t do it against guys who are the best of the best. Garcia is a survivor. Cade is a tyrant. That ring is the land Lochlyn Cade rules.
