Xiaolong is walking through the middle of a cornfield looking around enjoying the sight of corn growing high on their stalks and swaying as an occasional breeze blows through the rows and rows of corn which is going to be picked and sent to market or made into cereal or bread.)
Xiaolong: "In this field of corn that shall be supplying some of the supplemental needs of populations all over the country and around the world. A match is about to take place in a few weeks from today. It is the location of another match from my old home in the XHF in which a nemesis of mine lost his opportunity in a maze match that resembled this one."
(There is a smile of satisfaction on Xiaolong's face.)
Xiaolong: "Yes I had such a fond memory watching that match where my nemesis faced off against the XHF Cruiserweight Champion and he lost. To me he got what he deserved but that is a distant memory and I'm over it but I bet he still isn't."
(He shakes his head and sighs.)
Xiaolong: "Imagine in Halloween Honor there's going to be a Corn Maze Match between myself, ekid Nah and Rob Garcia. A match where you have to pin your opponent and make your way out before your other opponent does."
(Xiaolong snickers as he shakes his head.)
Xiaolong: "I can see all possibilities being this is Halloween and usually there's not much honor at Honor shows....."
(He makes an exaggerated hand motion of seeing a marquee.)
Xiaolong: "Scarecrows and crows and ravens oh my......"
(Xiaolong laughs.)
Xiaolong: "They come to life and try to prevent us all from winning the top contender's spot so someone else will get that shot."
(He shakes his head with a wider smile on his face.)
Xiaolong: "Who knows maybe there are demonically possessed children hiding in the cornfield maze just waiting to catch us and place us in front of some evil spirit. You know like Stephen King wrote about in his novel 'Children of the Corn.' Such a classic scare novel/movie. Watch it and see what could be possible in this match."
(Xiaolong laughs and gets control of himself.)
Xiaolong: "Now let's go from those wonderful memories to my opponents in this match. First up there's newcomer ekid Nah of the Marsupials of Mayhem who is a relative newcomer to the NPW. You are the wildcard of the three of us. You could win it all or you could be vying for the top contender's spot with either me or Rob Garcia or myself. Have you ever been in a match like this before ekid Nah. I don't think so and I guess for you it should be quite interesting to find out."
(He sighs.)
Xiaolong: "This brings me to Rob Garcia. A former AWF competitor, who came to NPW to compete as a regular weight competitor and then decided to go after Lochlyn Cade. Yet to do so had to lose over twenty-five pounds and kept people informed of his miraculous eight loss program. Here's an idea Rob why not go on television and brag about how you successfully lost all that weight......"
(Xiaolong once again makes an exaggerated hand gesture.)
Xiaolong: "You can call it The Revenants Diet and you could be the spokesperson for that amazing weight loss program. I mean imagine the millions you could make and you wouldn't have to wrestle again Rob. You can be set for life and buy as many copies of the cruiserweight championship that you like and proclaim yourself the champion without even wrestling anymore. Oh the many possibilities of that Rob and who knows it could lead to even bigger possibilities if you play your cards right.
Think about it. If you lose this match you can always have that prize."
(He smiles and laughs.)
Xiaolong: "Then there is me. I'm becoming known as being the one who pushes the rookie talent. I'm the one who comes so close to being the one who breaks through to winning a championship but comes up short. Well in a two short weeks I shall be making sure that I get an opportunity to either contend or even be the cruiserweight champion. Now that's probably going to be scarier than this cornfield......"
(Xiaolong looks thoughtful.)
Xiaolong: "Then again there are even more scarier things than that like Rob Garcia winning and going on television pitching his weight loss program and bragging that he wasn't just a top contender but cruiserweight champion. Oh the horror of it all but still Halloween Honor can still provide its share of tricks and treats and any number of ghosts and goblins can appear. So in a couple of weeks the three of us will be determining who moves to the top contender's and the championship match. Trick or treat and don't let Michael Myers or the infamous Children of the Corn or worse the life like scarecrows and ravens get to you. Oh I almost forgot. Happy Halloween."
(He laughs and leaves as the scene slowly fades to black.)
