History:
James Knight was born into a wrestling family, his father "Good Ole" Jimmy Knight, Sr. was a promoter in the territory days running promotions in the Canadian Maritimes, Quebec and the Mid-Atlantic. James's mother was a good hand working the Quebec territory when she met his father. It is believed that she actually worked a handful of matches while pregnant with James.
Because of his parent’s nomadic lifestyle, James spent most of his early years with his maternal grandparents in Sainte-Julie, Quebec. At age 12 the family settled near Nashville, Tennessee. As a student James was an outstanding football and track star earning a scholarship as a defensive back at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he majored in Elementary Education.
Upon graduating from UT-Martin, James entered “the family business” and began training under the tutelage of his half-brother Nick Knight who along with their father had established a promotion based in Las Vegas, Nevada called xXx Wrestling. The promotion aimed to capitalize on the exploding internet wrestling community and became one of the first promotions to hold iPPVs. James spent four years in xXx Wrestling eventually capturing the xXx Evolution Championship, a title designated for up-and-coming starts within the promotion. Knight would eventually become xXx nXt Division Champion near the end of the promotion’s existence.
With the momentum he built in xXx Wrestling, James was signed to UK-based super promotion 2 World Wrestling Federation (2WWF) where he would hold tag-team gold with former xXx Dojo trainee Apollas Creed and became the longest-reigning 2WWF Pure Wrestling Champion, a title he would hold nearly a half-dozen time before his time in 2WWF came to an end.
Knight would take his talents to the independent wrestling scene working all around the world from Tijuana to Tokyo. Holding gold everywhere including tag-team championships in New Born Wrestling, and Extreme Wrestling Organization. Along with holding several singles titles including the NBW Television Championship, the Inter-Promotional Grand Tour Junior Heavyweight Championship, James has held the eWo Championship.
James comes to SWAT after a brief stint in rehab for substance abuse issues that have plagued him throughout his career. He is clean and focused, ready for a new lease on his career.

The arena lights are cut, enveloping the entire venue in darkness. From the public address system comes an eerie guitar riff that slowly builds until it unleashes into a hard 80’s rock song. Three bars and the vocals are heard.
“LUNATIC FRIIIINGE”
From behind the curtain steps a man clad in a long black ring robe with the hood pulled over his head.
“I KNOW YOU’RE OUT THERE”
The man descends the ramp totally focused on the ring before him. He goes to the steps and slowly ascends them as he reaches the top step he sheds the hood and allows the robe to fall to his feet. He bows his head in a moment of inner reflection, centering himself and reminding himself of the goal… “1-0 tonight.” He steps out onto the apron, wipes his boots to show respect to the sacred squared circle before entering through the ropes. He takes a quick lap around the ring before taking his corner where he calmly waits for the bell to toll.
