Blake Samuels: "Ladies and Gentleman welcome to the MGM Arena. Welcome to the CWA's World Championship FINALE broadcast. I'm Blake Samuels and with me once again is Andrew Fulton."
Andrew Fulton: "They know who I am Samuels. Heck, I AM the voice of SWAT and The CWA as a whole. Tonight, We will know who our alliance's first World Heavyweight Champions will be. It's the dawning of a new era!
Blake Samuels: "Four former world champions from four different walks of life remain! That just goes to show you how stacked the CWA talent pool is. Champions from all over the world have come together to compete and there can only be ONE!"
Andrew Fulton: "That's right. Three of the four men will walk away disappointed, but there can only be ONE Champion. Starting things out will be Rob Riot taking on Chris Card."
Blake Samuels: "Talk about every technical wrestling fans dream. These two mat magicians are world class, and it's going to be a chess match for the ages when these two hit the ring."
Andrew Fulton: "Then we've got a more physical brand of fighting coming down the pipe, as Jeff Andrews and Dusty Griffith are set to smash each other from pillar to post."
Blake Samuels: "These two men have crossed paths, but haven't ever wrestled to my knowledge. Both men are widely respected inside of the ring. I can't wait to see these two man collide in the centre of the ring."
Andrew Fulton: "We also have matches with representatives from all corners of the globe, and every region in the CWA. Dead Man Crossing will showcase their talents right here tonight."
Blake Samuels: "That's right. The BRAVE Tag Team Championships will be on the line here as well."
Andrew Fulton: "Not to mention the greatest tag team in the world today will be gracing us with their presence when The ReVenants defend their tag team titles against The Hellhounds."
Blake Samuels: "We will also have an inter-promotional match, as Jay Stevens from Northern Pro Wrestling will take on Kurio Heretsu of BRAVE! Talk about contrasting styles!
Andrew Fulton: "Anything can happen in that contest. Two great competitors who wouldn't normally have the ability to wrestle one and other, can do so under the CWA banner, and it doesn't get any better than that!"
Blake Samuels: "Let's head to ringside now for the opening contest!"

World Heavyweight Championship Semi-Final
No Time Limit
Rob Riot (NPW) vs. Chris Card (NPW)
Delilah Massey: The following match is scheduled for one fall..
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Delilah Massey: And is a CWA World Championship Semi Final Match.
"I Feel You" by Depeche Mode bursts through the arena PA as the entrance ramp is bathed in red and white lights spotlights. They arc and twist over the ramp, waiting to pick out Rob Riot. Just as the vocals kick in,
I FEEEEEEEL YOU, THE SUN IT SHINES!
I FEEEEEEEL YOU, WITHIN MY MIND!
Delilah Massey: Introducing first, he hails from Manchester, England and weighed in tonight at two hundred and forty five pounds, ROB RIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOT!
Riot steps through the curtains, twirling his long black ring jacket behind him as he does. He takes a moment to soak in the crowd's response, nodding to himself as he does, before turning his attention to the ring.
THIS IS THE MORNING OF OUR LOVE!
IT’S JUST THE DAWNING OF OUR LOVE!
Raising one arm and clenching his fist in the air, Riot walks down to the ring, now oblivious to the crowd around him. He's all business. He walks around the ring once and takes his time to climb up the steps, walking half way along the ring and wiping his feet before he steps through the ropes.
Andrew Fulton: Rob Riot, one of the best technicians out there but with far more strings than that to his bow.
Blake Samuels: He’s in for a stiff test of those abilities tonight. I’m not sure how he’s going to win this one.
Andrew Fulton: Rob Riot can beat you in a ton of different ways. Just ask Jeff Noon.
The lights dim as the pumping intro to “Burn!” by Kobra and The Lotus starts up. The only solid light comes from the CWAtron, counting down to the big sting line..
I REALLY HATE YOU, YES I DO,
I HAVE THE WAY YOU I SECOND GUESS MYSELF WITH YOU,
AND I’M LOOOOSING AAAAALL CONTROOOOL,
YES I’M LOOOOSING AAAAALL CONTROOOOL…
LET IT BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND!
As the first line of the chorus hits a line of purple and white pyrotechnics bursts out from the stage. Chris Card steps through the curtain and steps casually down the entrance ramp.
Delilah Massey: Fighting out of one of Canada’s richest postcodes, the beautiful Rosedale neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, he weighed in tonight at one hundred kilograms and stands one meter ninety tall and if you don’t understand the metric system, get with the 21st century. He is known world wide as Technical Perfection and the Real Man’s Wrestler and he is very…
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOO!
Delilah Massey: VERY!...good at what he does. CHRIS “BIG MATCH” CAAAAAAAAARD!
Andrew Fulton: That’s around two hundred and twenty pounds for our American viewers.
Blake Samuels: I understand the metric system, Andy. Maybe our fans should learn too.
Card steps into the ring and stands, looking out towards the Las Vegas crowd, waiting for the second chorus to hit…
LET IT BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND!
I DESIRE TO WATCH YOU…
BURN! DESTROY THE CROWN!
FROM THE HATE YOU’VE TIED AND BOUND!
On the shout of Burn this time, Card crosses his heart with an X using both thumbs and pyro shoots off from the turnbuckle. Card smiles smugly at the hard camera and soaks in the booing of the crowd.
The bell sounds and Card and Riot close the distance on each other, both raising their left hands up and keeping their rights by their sides to form firm blocks. It’s the Canadian who is first to act, throwing a roundhouse kick ribs high at Riot but the Mancunian dismissively guides Card’s leg away. Riot tries for a straighter toe kick of his own by Card raises his fore leg, taking the blow on the hardest bone in his lower body and protecting his solar plexus. The Nova Scotian shakes his head a little and smiles, almost daring Riot to take a second attempt and Riot takes the bait, closing a step’s distance and throwing a stiff right hand but this time Card sways out of the way and traps the punching arm firmly by the wrist.
Andrew Fulton: Cagey start from both men here.
Blake Samuels: Neither man wants to make a mistake.
Andrew Fulton: With such fine margins that’s a safe precaution.
With wrist control, Card walks out and to a side, barring the arm of Rob Riot. Card turns the arm over, wringing it out. The Big Match wrester steps in, turning the hold into a top wristlock and with an evil smirk, Card tries to bend the hand backwards with a little Jim Breaks style small joint manipulation. Riot, however, is smart to this and as Card loosens his overall grip strength to try and work the joints, the Englishman steps out and does a quick forward roll, reversing the wrist control. Riot wags a finger at Card and wrings out the arm with him in control, followed by applying some downward pressure that forces Card to bridge backwards to lessen the impact. The Mancunian shapes his body to take full advantage and presses Card all the way down and pins his shoulders to the mat…
ONE!
But Card lets the bridge drop and while flat on the mat, swings his legs round and drop toe holds Riot down face fist, quickly transitioning into a grab of the ankle.
Andrew Fulton: This is liquid wrestling. Two of the best in the CWA going hold for hold.
Blake Samuels: Andy, this is why I love this sport. When you get two athletes like this, two minds like these clashing it’s poetry.
With a reach across and a little shimmy across the mat, Card reaches for the neck of Riot. He places his knee firmly in the Lancashire man’s back and pulls at both ends, cinching in a tight bow and arrow. Card’s face is serene, almost zen like as he wrenches on Riot’s body. Rob winces as his opponent applies pressure directly to his spine but there is a flicker of calculation in there as well. Riot waits patiently for Card to overstretch, judging the exertion from when the pain is being applied before using his freer arm to reach up and cradle Card over…
ONE!
Card is forced to drop the hold so he can squirm free.
Blake Samuels: You know what we haven’t seen so far?
Andrew Fulton: No, do enlighten the audience.
Blake Samuels: Cheating. Both these guys are capable of breaking the rules when needed.
Andrew Fulton: Why would you ruin a great wrestling encounter with cheating?
Blake Samuels: To win, Andy. That’s the ultimate goal.
Rob Riot now has top position and like a hungry wolf looking to take dinner home to his pack he strikes immediately, grabbing a loose arm of Chris Card’s and deftly twisting it against Card’s own back in a tight hammerlock. The Mancunian draws himself up to his knees and presses down on his crafty opponent while feeling down for a leg to grab hold of. Riot jams his free elbow into Card’s thigh to loosen a leg up and as The Canadian’s leg leaves the mat in a jerking motion that is entirely involuntary, Riot snatches an ankle as leans backwards, locking in a hammerlock and modified half crab combination.
Andrew Fulton: Oh, he’s got control of two limbs now. Riot is pulling new tricks out of the books tonight.
Blake Samuels: It takes a lot of new tricks to keep Chris Card down. Riot is being forced to dip deep into his repertoire of moves.
Now Riot decided to switch it up a little. He lets go of the hammerlock, Card’s arm flopping down to the mat with a thud and swivels his body around. Riot, without even looking, uses his legs to slide around Card’s neck and crosses them while at the same time winding Card’s legs together into a four. Riot pulls back on the legs, never letting his neck control slip and slips downward so he’s kneeling firmly in the small of Card’s back.
Andrew Fulton: Head Scissored Texas Cloverleaf? That’s new.
Blake Samuels: That’s… that’s… just showing off.
Card has free arms even if his body is totally pinned down. He grunts at the pain being fed into his neurons but reaches out towards the ropes, relying on ring positioning to be the factor that breaks his current predicament. Riot, without looking, guesses correctly that his opponent is going to try to edge towards the ropes and drops his holds, spinning round on Card’s back amateur wrestling style before locking Card’s loose arm up firmly by the shoulder. With Card’s means of escape dealt with, Riot repositions again, the Submission Magician going cross shaped and scissoring Card’s other arm.
Crowd: TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP!
Andrew Fulton: Rob Riot has taken total control of the mat game!
Blake Samuels: It’s all ebb and flow in a match like this. Card will find a way to worm loose.
There is a looks on Card’s usually blank face of mixed concern and pain. You can still see the gears whirring inside of his head as Riot torques on his shoulder, looking to separate it and get Card to tap through being way too injured to continue. The Mancunian Mat Maven redoubles his effort and grits his teeth to try and get the tap out but Chris Card has had time to draw his legs in and with a sudden movement he pushes into the mat and manages somehjow to flip the pile, leaving his lying on Rob Riot’s body while still in the submission hold.
ONE!
T.. Riot drops the hold and squirms free.
Blake Samuels: Three seconds. That’s all it takes.
Andrew Fulton: But Riot has definitely done some damage to Chris Card in this match!
Blake Samuels: Well if Card relied on strength that would be a handicap.
Both men stand and reset, Card moving a little gingerly. Riot steps in and swings a massive European Uppercut, looking to connect solidly with Card’s chin but The Canadian sway s back to avoid the blow. As Riot is turned around Card fires an elbow off towards Riot’s kidney area but The Mancunian is smart enough to wheel away out of range. Riot shoots in for a double leg takedown but his Nova Scotian opponent sprawls to avoid the takedown.
Big Match Card locks up Riot’s head, turning him over for a neckbreaker but Riot fires a back elbow into Card’s bread basket to make him drop the neck lock. With the pair back to back, Riot slips in underhooks and takes Card over with a sharp backslide.
ONE!
But Card jackknifes over, reversing the pressure on the hold.
ONE!
Riot scoots backwards, causing Card to fall onto the mat in a prawn pin.
ONE!
And Card uses his legs to bell clap Rob Riot before pushing the pile forwards, pinning Rob.
ONE!
The Englishman pushes out and hits a short ranged body press to pin Card again.
ONE!
Card sweeps the legs MMA style to take top positioning.
ONE!
Anther position reset and the crowd explodes into a round of rapturous applause and cheers. Riot bounces on his heels, eager to get the next stage of the contest going while Chris Card just looks fully focused, concentrating on the task at hand.
Andrew Fulton: These two technical masters are trying everything to get the victory here tonight.
Blake Samuels: Sometimes you have to. Game plans go right out of the window in this level of match.
With a swing of his rear leg, Chris Card throws a loose crescent kick which fails to connect. Riot seizes on the opportunity and closes in for a solid looking punch but Card wasn’t throwing the kick to connect, he was throwing it to get a response and he uses the momentum of his swing to rotate to a side.
As Riot’s fist swishes past him, he catches the arm and steps through, taking Riot down with a back heel trip, using the arm for leverage. With the pair back on the ground, Big Match Card throws some downward elbows into Riot’s chest while keeping arm control. Card threads an arm under Riot’s other shoulder and feeds The Englishman’s trapped arm over, switching which arm is doing the control and trapping it across Rob Riot’s own throat.
Crowd: LET’S GO RIOT! LET’S GO RIOT!
Andrew Fulton: Chris Card is looking to choke out Rob Riot with his own arm!
Blake Samuels: And that is completely legal. You can’t apply the choke with your own limbs but using y our opponent’s? That’s just smart.
Rob Riot’s face is turning red but he’s still got enough wits about him to begin trying to force his body round towards the nearest set of ropes. Chris Card is utterly focused on keeping the blood and air flow away from Riot’s head and he begins to shake his arm, battering Riot’s head against the mat and trying to cinch the trapped arm tighter into the stranglehold. The Englishman tries to reach his free arm over and loosen the anaconda like grip on himself but Card is wise to that and jams the point of his own free arm into the forearm of Riot, making the Mancunian pause. Again Card shakes Riot’s head and now The Englishman is fading, his eyes beginning to bulge.
Crowd: PLEASE DON’T TAP! PLEASE DON’T TAP!
Andrew Fulton: This could be it for Rob Riot. He’s obviously fading and he doesn’t have an answer for the predicament he’s in.
Blake Samuels: Good. It’s about time someone just gave into the inevitable.
Now the referee has got down to check on Riot’s status. The Man from Cottonopolis is now struggling a lot less and the crowd are going wild in support for Riot. The referee lifts Riot’s arm from the mat and… it drops limply back down. Riot is in no mood to tap out but it’s no longer clear if he would be able to if he even had the choice. The look of grim determination on Card’s face is obvious as he tries to close the match out with the submission predicament he has Riot trapped in. The referee lifts the arm again and again it drops to the mat.
Crowd: RI-OT! RI-OT! RI-OT!
Blake Samuels: That’s it, you can ring the bell now, this one is in the books.
Rob Riot is barely struggling now. His energy sapped and his brain beginning to shut down to preserve vital systems as the oxygen flow is being denied to it. The referee lifts his arm one last time…
...but he takes a glance over top the bottom rope where somehow, some way RIOT HAS MANAGED TO PLACE HIS FOOT UPON IT! With a barked command to Chris Card a break is ordered and the count is placed on…
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
FOUR!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
FIV… Card breaks the hold and rolls away leaving the gasping Rob Riot lying on the mat.
Andrew Fulton: It’s not over! Rob Riot has miraculously managed to escape the clutches of the Machiavellian Mat Master From The Maritimes!
Blake Samuels: But how much damage had Chris Card been able to cause?
Card stands and backs away. He eyes Rob Riot carefully, watching the slow movement of Riot as he gets to one knee, beckoning Riot to stand as the boos rain in upon him. Riot gets to his feet, still sucking air desperately as he tries to get that oxygen flowing back around his internal systems. Riot wheels painfully slowly around as Card readies himself, looking to land that one killer blow. He cocks his leg back…
Andrew Fulton: THE CALLING CARD! THE MOVE THAT HAS WON CARD SO MANY MATCHES ACROSS HIS CAREER
AND CARD UNCORKS A MASSIVE, MEATY SUPERKICK TOWARDS ROB RIOT’S FACE… AND RIOT SOMEHOW GETS HIS ARMS IN THE WAY, WRAPS UP CARD’S ANKLE BEFORE THE KICK CAN CONNECT FULL FORCE AND HE HITS A SLOPPY BUT EFFECTIVE DRAGON SCREW OUT OF UTTERLY NOWHERE!
Andrew Fulton: NO! REVERSED!
Crowd: YEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
Riot keeps hold of Chris Card’s leg as the pair tumble to the mat. Riot sits up, turning Card over by twisting the ankle, making him reflexively turn to relieve the pressure and then lifting Card’s leg up and SMASHING his knee down into the mat. With his stamina returning, Riot keeps his vice grip on Big Match Card’s leg and SMASHES it down once more. Then a third time. Then a fourth, fifth, sixth and SEVENTH time. Breathing heavily, Riot is almost rabid as he uses the point of the elbow and drops it repeatedly into Card’s hamstring. The Mancunian gets a sense that the collected damage on Card’s leg might be enough to end it and he shifts the grip up to the top of Card’s ankle.
Crowd: LET ‘S GO RIOT! LET’S GO RIOT!
Andrew Fulton: LOCKING CLAMP! THE HEEL HOOK IS LOCKED IN!
Blake Samuels: He’s got to grapevine the leg to complete the move.
Muscling up to a sitting position, Card raises his elbow up and begins desperately throwing downward elbows of his own to try and prevent the grapevine from being locked in. Riot keeps the leg trapped under his right arm and just throws a huge slap to Card’s face to get him to stop. Card responds with a slap of his own. Riot balls his fist up and throws a meaty punch. Card responds in kind. Now the two men are seated just wailing on each other to try and gain an advantage and the crowd noise rises another tone as people are screaming for Riot to finish Card and the match.
Andrew Fulton: For such a technical match, this is going to be decided by a short burst of sheer brutality.
Blake Samuels: It doesn’t matter how great the mat wrestling is, sometimes a punch to the face is all it takes to swing a contest.
Riot winds up for a particularly meaty strike and Card dodges by dropping back flat to the mat. Card’s eyes art backwards as if he’s checking on the position of the pair in the ring and he slides his left arm down towards where Riot would be applying the grapevine. Card aches his back up for a brief second and he closes his hand around something. Card sits up again and Riot winds his arm back for another meaty punch. Riot swings his arm and Card cross blocks it, using his right hand to swat the strike away before raising up his left and revealing the small cylinder within..
Blake Samuels: YES!
Andrew Fulton: NO!
...AND SPRAYING A FACEFUL OF PEPPER SPRAY RIGHT AT ROB RIOT FROM CLOSE RANGE!!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Blake Samuels: THE AEROSOL EQUALIZER! THAT’S USING YOUR HEAD, CHRIS!
Andrew Fulton: That’s a disqualification.
Blake Samuels: The referee couldn’t have seen it, Card’s back was blocking his line of sight. That’s how to cheat, professional edition.
After quickly sliding the Aerosol back into his tights, Chris Card wiggles his leg free as Rob Riot instinctively tries to clear his eyes with his arms. Card immediately uses his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to sweep for posture and take Rob Riot’s back and float round into turtle. Card threads an arm through, gable grips it, flips Riot over and bites, blocking the carotid artery.
Crowd: LET’S GO RIOT! PLEASE DON’T TAP! LET’S GO RIOT! PLEASE DON’T TAP!
Andrew Fulton: OMEGA CLUTCH!
Blake Samuels: Throat chokes are illegal. Blood chokes aren’t.
Andrew Fulton: PEPPER SPRAY IS DAMN ILLEGAL!
Riot is left with no choice but to tap out, not willing to risk permanent brain damage and Card drops the hold the VERY second the bell is rung. Card stands and gets his arm raised as Rob Riot just stares a hole through him from his place lying on the mat. Chris Card goes over and offers a hand up but Riot is having NONE of Card’s shit for pulling the Aerosol Equalizer on him.
Blake Samuels: See, that’s just poor sportsmanship.
Andrew Fulton: You’d be a poor sport if you were pepper sprayed.
Delilah Massey: The winner of the match and advancing to the final, CHRIIIIIS CAAAAARD!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOO!
Blake Samuels: "What a match! I'm in awe of the excellence on the mat displayed by both men. It's a shame the match ended the way it did."
Andrew Fulton: "Speak for yourself Samuels. I love how flexible Card is. When an opportunity knocks, he answers. Simple as that."

Blake Samuels: "Yeah it's a real shame that Frostbite took a massive shit all over the federation and the championship. I'm surprised he hasn't been lynched."
Andrew Fulton: "You know me too well. I've been making contact with a few of those from the seedy underworld, looking to make it happen."
Blake Samuels: "Or just stick him in the ring with Donzig for an hour in a cage. That should suffice."
Andrew Fulton: "Hmm... That's not a bad idea. I don't really have Blaze's ear like I did with Soutter, but I could always shoot my shot."
Blake Samuels: "You do that. Up Next, our 2nd Semi Final!"
Andrew Fulton: "Oh baby, let's get this show on the road."
World Heavyweight Championship Semi-Final
No Time Limit
Jeff Andrews (DCW) vs. Dusty Griffith (NPW)
Two men from the same era, the same circles. Two men who have stood atop the mountain in the past, and have etched their names in the annals of professional wrestling. Two men that have a true respect for one and other's accomplishments and their respective approaches to professional wrestling. If this match was taking place ten years ago, it would certainly be a candidate for match of the year - perhaps the biggest gate and the biggest house that the business would have seen that year.
Today, these two look to show that father time hasn't taken anything away from them. They want to show that father time has only further seasoned their minds, and their emotional maturity. Dusty Griffith is a hard-case to deal with. Jeff Andrews falls from the same tree. Both men are used to walking to the beat of their own drum and don't care for anyone who believes they can tell them otherwise. They scoff in the face of authority, and fight the battles of warriors and legends.
The fans in Las Vegas were very aware of the magnitude of this contest, and showed their support by standing in unison as the formalities took place. When the bell sounded, the fans stood, roared and watched as these two legends started to circle one and other.
As both men dug their heels in, and dove forward for their first collar and elbow tie up, the play erupted. Dusty would push forward using his size to his advantage and offer a clean break when the referee asked for it. He raised his hands, and slowly walked back, keeping eyes locked on Andrews. Andrews nodded, and rolled his shoulders signifying he knew he was up against one of the very best wrestlers in the world, and there weren't many men walking god's green earth that have found success in the situations.
When they locked up again, Andrews took Dusty's right arm, twisted it, and stepped behind him with a hammer lock. Andrews let go at the right time and locked Dusty up in a sleeper. In the standing position Andrews couldn't quite get enough leverage to hold on, and Dusty reached back and pulled Andrews over his back and slammed him to the mat, which broke the hold. Dusty dropped down to one knee and had Andrews in a reverse chin-lock.
Andrews was shouldering all of Dusty's weight as he tried to escape. Both men were fighting for the grip, which was taxing for Andrews. Once he realized that ham-hawks were like bricks, Andrews spotted forward and reached his left leg out and placed it on the bottom rope which forced a break.
Some chess playing early and often in this contest. More feeling out followed as the two men exchanged situations where they were able to apply pressure to a body part, while the other had to conjure up a reversal to get things back on neutral standing.
The fans were glued to the action, watching two master at work.
Eventually it happened.
WHAM!
Dusty over hand slapped Andrews' chest. Andrews knife edge chop returned the favour, and the two men treated the other like a stack of meat that needed tenderizing.
WHACK!
WOOO!!
WHAM!
OUCH!
WHACK!
WOOOO!
Andrews was giving as well as he was taking, which was a good sign for the Andrews backers. Dusty looked like he was enjoying himself, smiling as the two traded shots. Dusty then grabbed Andrews, whipping him across the right and rushed him like a bull, taking him out with a shoulder tackle. His football days are decades behind him, but he's still got the proper technique.
A double undertook suplex from Dusty followed, and Andrews hit the mat hard. Andrews did his best to sit up, and as he did, cross face strikes followed as Dusty used the palm of his hand to soften Jeff's ears, before Andrews rolled away, trying to stay clear of the onslaught. Dusty refused to follow Jeff outside of the ring, but Andrews was looking to regain his composure.
Dusty crouched down, ready to pounce when Andrews crept back into the ring. Andrews showed grit and toughness, as he didn't delay the fight. When he was ready, he walked up the steps and locked eyes with Dusty. When he entered the ring, Dusty charged, but Andrews side stepped and a drop toe hold took Dusty down and forced him to collide with the middle turnbuckle. When he popped up, Andrews was there to execute a GERMAN SUPLEX! WOW!
WHAM!
Andrews got Dusty up and did his best version of a german suplex on the near 280 pound Wild Bronco.
1
Kickout!
Dusty's chin and tolerance for pain is second to none. If Andrews expects to wear him down and pin him, he's going to need to do a lot more damage to the big man before that possible. Jeff could sense it, rolling his neck and realizing that he was going to be in this fight for as long as it took.
Andrews had Dusty locked in a front face lock, looking to control him. A swift knee to the gut followed, hoping to soften him up. Then WHAM! One fluid motion, Andrews twisted and dropped Dusty with a swinging beck breaker! Both men hit the mat, with Dusty getting the brunt of it. But as Jeff got up, Dusty wasn't too far behind. Perhaps it was instinct, and or it was Dusty's superior chin.
WHACK!'
SPINNING HEEL KICK! He caught him clean.
Dusty crumpled. Cover!
1
T- Kickout!
Andrews rolled over and took the mount position and came down wit ha few punches, before Dusty grabbed a hold of him from the bottom position after smothering a few shots. Dusty now had a hold of Jeff, and swept him and as both men scrambled, Dusty ended up in control. A mistake by Andrews going for the ground and pound, allowing Dusty to switch positions and take control.
Dusty didn't strike, but used the position to apply pressure on Andrews' shoulder and bicep area with a wrist-lock. Dusty was bending Jeff's arms in all of the wrong ways. He shouted in pain, and then used his legs to push free, breaking way from Dusty by rolling out of there. The 10 years Jeff was able take off of his age seems to have allowed him to remain agile on the mat.
There wasn't going to be a rest period, as Dusty felt as though Jeff was ahead in the contest if it were being judged, and he knew he was looking to make up ground. Dusty showed a tremendous gas tank, as he wasn't even breathing heavy after these exchanges.
Dusty stalked Jeff, before shoving him into the corner and Dusty used his massive hands and tight grip to hold Jeff in place. Scoop Slam? Dusty runs forward! Boise Stampede!!
Andrews bounces off the far turn buckle and is then driven to the mat with force! Dusty hold for the cover!
1
2
NO!
Andrews kicks out.
One of the old go-to moves for Dusty that has won him some matches and served as a means to rattle an opponents spine! Dusty stayed on top of things as he dropped a big elbow from above, fell down with it for maximum force. Andrews gasped for air, as the big man held the point of the elbow in place for good measure.
Jeff rolled away, but Dusty knew he was softening him up, and would be able to maintain control after the damage he just inflicted. Jeff used the ropes to pull himself up, Dusty was there, locked his arms around Jeff's waist.
BELLY TO BELLY!
Dusty turned his hips and used max force to drive Andrews to the mat.
1
2
NO! Another kickout from Andrews!
Dusty smiled, looking down at Andrews, knowing that the ol' vet was made of steel and as tough as they come. Both men are revered for their toughness, and the fact that they've done things their way for as long as they have and are still here to speak about it. In fact, they live it. Uncompromising, unapologetically themselves.
Dusty kept pushing the pace, and Andrews defiantly swung his hands and connected a few times - but the impact wasn't there for Dusty to take more than a step back before taking his next step forward. Dusty stuffed Andrews with a european uppercut that jacked his jaw. Andrews fired up and came with one of his own. Dusty reared back and stuck him with another nasty european uppercut that dropped Andrews to his knees.
Let's Go Dusty!
Let's go Jeffro!
Let's Go Dusty!
Let's Go Jeffro!
Irish-whip, Dusty lunged forward, Andrews ducked underneath and came forward hard for a spear, but Dusty caught it, leaned back... GUILLOTINE CHOKE!! Does he have it fully locked in?
Andrews was fighting hands, trying to pull his head out. Could he? Would he?
...
...
He's out!
Andrews grabbed Dusty's leg, before dropping down and exciting a knee bar! That should slow the big man down! Oh, Dusty rolled out of it, and stomps away on Andrews. At every turn, Dusty was ready, as Andrews used many of his tricks in order to try to regain control in the match.
Jeff tried to find his distance, looking for an answer. He was clobbered with another palm strike, which turned him to the side. Dusty crept up behind looking for a back suplex.
Could he get it?
Jeff is fighting it!
No, Jeff resists.
Wait a minute, Dusty powers through.
He's got him up!!
What's This?
Andrews clutching for Dusty's arm! Dusty appears caught!
Dusty lans back, trying to pancake Andrews, but Jeff has a hold of his arm and snakes his legs around the other!
CRUCFIX!
Dusty is folded over, his weight being used against him.
1
2
3!
KICKOUT!
He got it?
The referee called for the bell!
The arena is stunned! Oh my Gosh? Jeff Andrews just reversed the position and was able to hold The Bad Man From Boise down for the three count!
Here is your Winner Advancing to the Finals: Jeff Andrews
There is a pocket of the crowd on their feet, rallying behind Andrews. There are other areas of the crowd in shock. But nobody is in more shock than Dusty himself. He looks down at the mat shaking his head. How did he it let it slip out of his hands?
Jeff is up, seemingly unsure if this fight is going to continue or not. Jeff reluctantly allows the referee to raise his hand, while keeping his eyes locked on Dusty.
A few moments pass and Dusty is back to his feet. He nods at Jeff, and exits the ring without incident. Jeff now finally feels comfortable raising his hand and pointing to the area of the arena that seems to be supporting all of the 'Deadman Crossing' Promotion.
Dusty took the defeat with grace in a match that could've gone either way. One has to wonder if Dusty had gone for his patented Snap Powerbomb and pulled it off, would he be standing in the winners circle. One would have to believe that these two legends are bound to cross paths once again in the future.
[Cut.]
[Parking Lot.]
Outside the MGM Casino and Hotel, waits Gus Arnold with what looks like a whole battalion of police. The cops are geared up, and look read for trouble as they keep their hands near their nightsticks as their leader calls out a few orders. Gus adjusts his suit, frowning as he watches the gleaming black car pull into the lot before it stops. The doors open, and he looks back to the police. 'These ones are the ones you need to watch, officer.'
The cop nodded, and Gus motioned for a small group of men in suits to join him. After a long moment, the hulking figure of Moloch stepped from inside the car. He tilted his skull masked face, rolling his broad shoulders before he took a step forward. The other door opened, and the imposing Mormo stepped into view. He said something, and gestured before Sinclair Godfrey emerged from behind Moloch. She lifted a hand, and the Death Squad stepped back as she flashed a smile to Gus.
Gus jerked his head, and he walked forward with the suits. The cops following, but all of them jerked to a halt when Donzig emerged from the car. The Scourge hissed, and he took a step forward with a tilt of his masked head. A hand lifting, and he growled. 'What's this?'
Gus held out a hand, and was handed papers by the suits before he handed them off to Sinclair. She studied them, frowning before passing them to the King in the North. 'Gus has banned the Council of Chaos, the Revenants, and Donzig-gun from the building. It is a restraining order.'
Donzig read the papers, nodding to himself before he handed the papers back to Sinclair. He stepped forward, walking towards Gus as the cops took a step forward. The Death Squad also stepped forward, and Donzig paused as he was eye to eye with the boss of NPW. 'Your day is coming, Old Man. I took down Suit, and I will take you next.'
Gus smiled. 'You can try, but you'll find me harder to deal with then Soutter.'
Donzig said nothing, he just looked back to his minions before he waved them away. 'Go. I don't need you to deal with this rabble.'
Sinclair bowed her head, dipping into a curtsy before she grabbed Moloch's arm to pull him back. The Death Squad piling into the car, and Donzig looked back to Gus before he shrugged. Then he started for the doors of the arena, pausing to look back at the crowd of cops and lawyers. 'Too bad you lot can't save the Murder Lizard or Great Value, eh?'
[Cut.]
[We're Back.]
Samuels: "Wrestling fans, we now direct your attention to the ring, as BRAVE Commissioner; Hiroshi Inoue is with his translator, and here to preside over the next two contests.
We watch as the Japanese wrestling legend turned BRAVE commissioner bows to the crowd. He takes the mic, and through subtitles and a translator, he addresses the crowd.
Inoue: "BRAVE is back, and better than ever. We want to thank the fans who have taken an interest in our brand, and we want to assure you that we strive for excellence at all times."
[We hear a smattering of cheers, while the other half of the audience remains quiet and respectful.]
Inoue: "Tonight, some of our best wrestlers will showcase themselves here in North America. We hope to take part in many more of these events, where the competition is at the highest levels."
[Pause for effect.]
Inoue: "With that said, we would also like to announce that the winner of the CWA World Heavyweight Championship will travel to Osaka to begin their reign as World Champion. We look forward to having your in our arena and wrestling in front of our fans. Thank you."
[One final bow.]
Samuels: "What an announcement! The World Champion is going to be tested in another country by a roster of wrestlers with a myriad of disciplines. With that said, let's go to ringside for this next contest. Northern Pro's Jay Stevens takes on Kurio Herutsu of BRAVE.
--
Inter-Promotional Showcase
30 Minute Time Limit
Jay Stevens (NPW) vs. Kurio Herutsu (BRAVE)
--Styles make fights, as do temperaments. Jay Stevens has proven himself to be a durable second generation star with the mind to carve his own path in the world of professional wrestling. Jay has put his name in the pool of wrestlers for the upcoming Cruiserweight Cup, making it his third time as a competitor. Moreover, Jay has studied and watched Puro when his father and uncle did their thing in the land of the rising son.
Standing across the ring was Kurio Herutsu, who was quickly developing a vicious reputation in BRAVE. Kurio' relies on a bevy of strikes to weaken and finish his opponents, so one has to wonder how he will fare against Jay's technical wrestling wizardry.
As of late, Jun Hirota and Shinya Okamoto collectively known as the SHADOW WARRIORS have made it clear that they are looking to expand their group beyond the two of them. As a duo, they enjoyed legendary success in the tag team ranks. Word is that both men are open to singles careers, or perhaps one of them remaining in tags with the help of one of their new recruits.
Perhaps this is why they have been seen scouting Kurio Hertsu as of late. While nothing has been made official, and we have yet to see them interact, we're able to read between the lines.
So wouldn't you know, The SHADOW WARRIORS waited for the bell to ring before walking to ringside to get a closer look. Hiroshi Inoue remained at ringside to oversee the match, and kept a close eye on Hirota and Okamoto.
After the initial feeling out process, Stevens took the lead in the match by using his ground game to smother Kurio. Jay was aware of potential dangers on the outside of the ring, and did his best to maintain a healthy distance from the ropes incase someone felt spicy and wanted to interject.
It quickly became clear that The Shadow Warriors had been doing enough watching, and they were now ready to take action. After weeks and weeks of respecting the competitors and keeping their distance, their plan to initiate a new member took action. Hirota walked around to the other side of the ring to engage with the referee. Luckily for them, the referee was Japanese, and from BRAVE so communication was easy. Jay looked on, not wanting this to impact his position in the contest. But the savvy young vet knew that he was up against it.
So instead of waiting to be jumped, Stevens hit the ropes and dove onto Shinya Okamoto on the opposite side of the ring. He rolled back under the ropes, and then dove through the top and middle rope with a TOPE SUICIDA!!
RAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
But was that the best course of action? Talk about toeing that line.
Okamoto hit the ground, but he was up quickly as Jay merely caught him with a glaring blow. The wide chested stretch master walked into the ring and attacked Jay Stevens from behind!!
DING DING DING!!
The referee rang the bell, and immediately disqualified Kurio Heretsu due to outside interference!
Jun Hirota rolled into the ring and blasted Jay with a YAKUZA KICK!!
WHAM!
Okamoto and Hirota walked over to Heretsu who was gathering himself. Words were exchanged, and based on what took place next, it's clear what went down. Okamoto and Hirota picked Jay up and each held his arms back!
SUPERKICK from Herstsu!
WHACK!
DING DING DING
Someone needs to put a stop to this!
Kurio Heretsu joined the two SHADOW WARRIORS in an embrace, followed by some laughter! All signs pointed to there now being a 3rd member of the group!
[BOOOOOOO!!!!!]
The three of them stomped away at Stevens who was instinctually blocking the back of his head with his hands, leaving his body exposed. This wasn't looking good. More 3 on 1 attacks were set to follow, until the BRAVE Tag Team Champions hit the ring to even the score.
[Roger Stevens.]
[Kenneth Marshall.]
[The BRAVE Tag Team Champions.]
[RAAAAAAAH!!]
The 3 Shadow Warriors backed off of Jay, but were ready to take on the tag team champions!
Lefts, rights, lefts, rights... The Champions were doing well initially, until Okamoto was able to hit Marshall with a Saito Suplex! Hirota and Heretsu started to work over Roger Stevens!
[BOOOOO!!]
The comeback was cut off, and the Shadow Warriors were once again in control. Jay Stevens tried to interject, but Hirota speared him to the mat and started with the ground and pound.
[RAAAAAH!!]
[The Roof is Gone.]
[The Bad Man From Boise!]
[Dusty Griffith!]
With a kick in his step, Dusty had seen enough. Hirota came for him, but he was blistered with a chop, knocking him backwards. Heretsu rushed forward, but Dusty side stepped and tossed him over the top rope!
Shinya Okamoto rushed forward, looking to get his hands on Dusty, but Jay Stevens and Kenneth Marshall intercepted it, and with a high-low attack took the large Japanese Wrestler down to the mat. When he popped back up... LARIAT! From Roger Stevens!
RAAAAAAHHHH!!
Dusty kicks Hiorta in the gut.
BRONCO BOMB! A snap powerbomb from the Bad-Man from Boise!
HO_LEE-CHIT!
Herutsu and Okamoto pulled Hirota under the bottom rope. The SHADOW WARRIORS had finally been put in their place, but it took four men to do it. Nonetheless, it's clear that Jay Stevens and Dusty Griffith have an on-going friendship. That much was revealed over the past couple of weeks. What we were starting to understand was that the BRAVE Tag Team Champions were also ready to fight along side of Jay Stevens.
Once the Shadow Warriors were leaving, the fans cheered the four men inside of the ring.
Dusty Griffith was very matter of fact, and saluted the crowd before fist bumping Marshall and Stevens. Those two would remain at ringside as they were set to defend their BRAVE Tag Team Championship in the next match of the evening. Dusty and Jay exited the ring together and walked up the aisle. A little big brother/little brother vibe filled the arena. If you didn't know that Jay Stevens was well connected before today, you certainly know now.
THANK YOU DUSTY!
THANK YOU DUSTY!
THANK YOU DUSTY!
One final salute as Jay Stevens and Dusty Griffith disappear backstage, which allowed the next match to get underway. Roger Stevens and Kenneth Marshall sat in their corner discussing strategy as they waited for Testu Kondo and Kano Ito to make their way to ringside.
--
Samuels: "Looks like The SHADOW WARRIORS made good on their promise. I doubt they were expecting to see The BRAVE Tag Team Champions and Dusty Griffith when they were planning their ruse.
Fulton: "Those SHADOW WARRIOR dudes are more than ninjas. They're straight killers. I don't know how much 'Puro' you follow Samuels, but the former All-Asia Tag Team Champions are taking BRAVE by force.
Samuels: "We're all inter-connected in many ways. Gus Arnold is a mentor to me, and his top student has always been Kenneth Marshall. Jay Stevens and Gus have a great relationship, which also helped secure the services of Dusty Griffith. Like-minded men all working towards a common goal."
Fulton: "Be careful what you wish for in this business. The SHADOW WARRIORS might be the baddest of the bad in BRAVE, and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon."
Samuels: "Up next we have the BRAVE Tag Team Championship match. The current champions are already at ringside and appear ready for battle. Roger Stevens was Kenneth Marshall's hand-picked tag team partner. The two gelled and won the SUPER Tag League, and thus became the BRAVE Tag Team Champions.
Fulton: "Now they must pay the piper. It'l be the former champions and arguably the most dominant stable in Osaka that are getting their crack at the gold. The Shining Stars under the tutelage of Satoshi Watanabe have reigned supreme in both Northern Pro Wrestling and in BRAVE."
Samuels: "You're absolutely right. The Shining Stars were the inaugural winners of the Imperial Tag League in Northern Pro Wrestling, and this propelled them to become the first Imperial Crown Tag Team Champions. Satoshi Watanabe and Gus Arnold never saw eye to eye, and we believe there is still a rivalry that looms large. "I believe Gus is going to have his eyes glued to this one."

BRAVE Tag Team Championship Match
No Time Limit
Roger Stevens & Kenneth Marshall (c) vs. The Shining Stars (Kano Ito & Testu Kondo)
With the current champions already in the ring after they came to put a stop to the heinous attack put forth by The Shadow Warriors - They looked the part of a duo that was finding chemistry and trust through their actions. Inside of the ring, they were working cohesively. While their respective personalities might be slightly on the opposite sides of the spectrum, they were finding common ground in their outlooks and ideals of what it means to be successful within the pro wrestling industry.
The Shining Stars made their way to the ring lead by Satoshi Watanabe. Kano Ito and Tetsu Kondo wore matching blazers and wrestling pants with 5 white stars along the side of their leg. Watanabe pointed to the ring like a drill sergeant and the former 2 time BRAVE Tag Team Champions and former one time Imperial Crown Tag Team Champions. They knew there as a job to do, and they knew they were capable of doing it to become the 3x champions.
As the match got underway, Kenneth Marshall made it a point to stand in the middle of the ring and glare down at Watanabe. Their heat has been building since Marshall received word about Satoshi's treatment of Gus Arnold while he was in Canada for the first 18 months of NPW's rise to fame. Marshall wanted Watanabe to know he was aware, and that he wasn't going to forget. Watanabe pointed to Kondo, and warned Marshall that he had better keep focused on the match itself.
Kondo came in hot, and overwhelmed Marshall early. Furious strikes and a nice belly to belly were early highlights. But, not much shakes Marshall, and once he found his composure, he was able to turn the tables rather quickly. Marshall took Kondo down with a double leg, and carved through his guard with relative ease. Marshall is a decorated amateur wrestler, and now a fully well rounded fighting machine after spending time in KINGS for multiple seasons, as well as carrying a nearly unblemished record in North America since 2019.
The fans who have followed his career would certainly noticed the growth in his game from the days where he used to help Gus Arnold sell out small flea markets on the East Coast of Canada from 2012-2014. Marshall used his dominant position to rain down hammers from above, before circling into a head/arm choke. He had it locked up tight, but Ito ran into the ring to stomp on Marshall and force the referee to break the hold. This brought Roger Stevens into the ring, and he chased Ito away, but as able to land a few glancing blows before the referee got in between them. Marshall nodded, and picked Kondo up, and drove him down with a powerslam right into their corner. Marshall made the tag, and Stevens was in.
Marshall irish-whipped Kondo, Stevens got down low, and then exploded with a nasty spear that nearly took Kondo right out of his boots.
RAAAAAH!!
The crowd loved it, as Roger Stevens and is IDGAF attitude seemed to gel well with the vegas crowd. And while Roger Stevens and Satoshi Watanabe might not have any personal beef, the fact that his partner Marshall isn't a fan was all Roger needed to hear. In case you didn't know, Roger Stevens is angry, very angry. So any excuse to ruffle feathers and throw his weight around - he's all for it. Stevens went to the outside of the ring with the mind to get in the face of Watanabe - but this is where Ito jumped from the turnbuckle and blindsided Stevens with a diving clothesline from behind!
Stevens hit the guardrail as his momentum carried him forward. He didn't see the shot coming and those are the ones you can't defend. Watanabe backed away after laughing in Stevens' face, telling him that he made a big mistake and now he was going to suffer for it.
Stevens defiantly mouthed off, even though he was in pain and trying to find his bearings. Ito rolled Stevens under the ropes, and extended his hand for the tag. Konod complied, happy to regroup and Ito hit the top rope again and came down with a flying leg drop!
WHAM!
1.
2.
NO!
Stevens kicked out with authority.
Marshall stomped his feet, urging the crowd to get behind his partner. Stevens was just looking to get his hands on Ito, one and one, on the ground, not in the air. Ito picked Stevens up, and his instincts kicked in! Uppercut, and another one! Stevens grabbed Ito and drove him face first to the mat with a bulldog! Ito up... LARIAT!!!!
RAAAAAAHH!!
Ito was turned inside out by that one! Stevens made the tag to Marshall. Stevens Irish Whip, ducks down, Marshall hits Ito with a Spine Buster!!
Marshall sits Ito up, and locks on The Dragon Sleeper!! He's won many matches with his submission!
Wait, now he's applying the body scissors!!! Ito has nowhere to go!
The referee is there, will he?
Kondo rushed in, and Speared by Roger Stevens!
Watanabe warning Ito not to give up, but he's losing consciousness. The referee checks his arm...
Once..
Twice...
Three Times!
DING DING DING!
Here are your WINNERS and STILL BRAVE Tag Team Champions: Roger Stevens and Kenneth Marshall
Ito passed out in the submission hold at around the eight minute mark, and the champions prevailed. Marshall pointed at Watanabe and warned him about coming into the ring. Marshall said he was ready to keep fighting. Watanabe brushed him off and told him he would see him another day!
[Cut.]
Blake Samuels: "What a match, as the champions retain in stunning fashion."
Andrew Fulton: "Did you hear some of the tongue lashings that Watanabe was giving his men during the contest? I would hate to see what their updated training regimen looks like. YEESH."
Blake Samuels: "Satoshi Watanabe's vile nature and sadistic outlooks is well documented. Say what you want about the man, he himself is a decorated champion and he has guided many others to championship gold."
Andrew Fulton: "Is the SWAT World Tag Team Championship Match next?"
Blake Samuels: "It sure is."
Andrew Fulton: "Woo Hoo! You want to talk about wrestling gods. You want to talk about tag team excellence. The REVS are head and shoulders above the rest. The 2021 Anzac Cup winners. The undefeated tag team champions! The Rev's are in the building, Swagger on a hundred-thousand trillion!"
Blake Samuels: Coming up next we have the SWAT Tag Team Championships on the line. This was originally set to be The ReV’s defending against the Hellhounds but SWATS new Boss Blaze Freya wants to shake things up a bit and she has added the team of Psychotic Goth and David Vector to the mix.
Andrew Fulton: She is something Blake, let me tell you.
Blake Samuels: She is certainly doing just that over at SWAT. The activity is off the charts and new members are flocking to the Alliance and to SWAT! 2022 looms to be another stellar year in the prestigious history of SWAT.
Andrew Fulton: Hopefully one of them newcomers can do a bit better than our dismal performance on night one of this Tourney, Not one single SWAT member advanced.
Blake Samuels: It wasn’t their night is all, there is some top talent over there and many worthy to hold the World belt.
Andrew Fulton: If my cohort Jerry were here in my place, he would pull out something about how we wish all renaming the best and all that BS, but that's not my style. So, I will just say, whoever wins, they WILL have to come defend it at SWAT, but for now, we have a Tornado Tag Team match to call, and as always, all Hellhounds matches are Hellhounds rules, and that means there are NO RULES!
Blake Samuels: The Hounds are a legendary tag team. Years and Years of travelling the globe, we are very privileged to have them here in the CWA!
Andrew Fulton: Check your privilege Blake. They are savages who beat and massacre with no predijuce. Whoever is in front of them is fair game, The Reverend Cornelius Marsh has them primed for the tag belts, and I am tipping they take this out here tonight.
Blake Samuels: Even over the ReVs? They won the Anzac Cup! Ox and Williams are two of the Premiere wrestlers in the World.
Andrew Fulton: They are great, no doubt, and also now with Dakota joining their crew, very capable of retaining, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do so and have another trick up their sleeves.
Blake Samuels: And then we have the newly formed team of Goth and Vector added! Blaze see’s something in this duo and wants to showcase them here tonight!
Andrew Fulton: Goth is a maniac and a former World Champion who can beat anyone on any night. Vector though is still a bit Green and while he shows promise, he is not in the league of the ReVs and the Hounds.
Blake Samuels: I think he can hang with them all and anyone else. Tonight may well be the making of him.
Andrew Fulton: Or the breaking.

The ReVenants (c) (Keith Williams Oxford Osland) vs. The Hellhounds vs. David Vector & Psychotic Goth
"If it bleeds, we can kill it."
"And we ain't got time to bleed."
"And we ain't got time to bleed."
["Turbo Killer" by Carpenter Brut begins to play as darkness engulfs the arena. Red strobe lights illuminate the entranceway, showing the outline of several figures that make their way out from behind the curtains.
As the music picks up, the arena lights come back to life and it's... The ReVenants! Posing together, the Champs smile and pal it up as they're greeted with a mixed reaction from the crowd. Moving at their own pace, The ReVenants inch by inch saunter down the ramp, shouting insults and flipping middle fingers to anyone brave enough to voice their displeasure.
Both members stride up the steel stairs, slowly entering as they re-assemble in the middle of the ring to pose once again while a surge of red pyro, confetti, and streamers are released. Laughing, covered in the celebratory mess, The ReVenants convene in their corner and prepare for the match ahead.]
Ring Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for ONE fall and is for the SWAT World Tag Team Championships! Introducing from Raleigh, North Carolina, and Indianapolis Indiana respectively, coming in at a total combined weight of 517lbs. Please welcome your SWAT World Tag Team Champions 'Ultimate Kingpin' Keith Williams… … “The Unbelievable” Oxford Osland… They are… THE REVENANTS!!!!
Blake Samuels: What a team!
[The Reverend Cornelius Marsh leads The Hellhounds down to the ring by chains attached to dog collars. The Hellhounds wear hockey masks, have dirty dreadlocks, and their clothes are blood stained from previous matches; tattered and torn. ]
Andrew Fulton: The Hounds enter the ring and look at them, they aren’t waiting for Goth and Vector and they tear into Osland and Williams.
Blake Samuels: Goth and Vector don’t even wait for their music and storm the ring and this one is now ON!
[The Hounds have their dog chains wrapped around the throats of the ReVs and are choking them, throttling them. Goth clotheslines Psycho down to the mat and Vector with a big backstabber to Cerberus.
Andrew Fulton: The Hounds are down and Marsh screams from the outside that Goth and Vector shouldn’t even be in the match. He has a point you know.
Blake Samuels: They belong in the match because Blaze added them, they ignore Marsh and Goth grabs both heads of Osland and Williams and rams them together. Goth then roars into the air in an Ancient dialect.
Andrew Fulton: The Hounds are back on the offence quickly and start to double team Vector. Someone in the crowd hands Marsh a cookie sheet and he throws it into Cerberus who promptly caves it in over Vector's skull.
Blake Samuels: The ReVs now are regrouping and also double teaming Goth. Osland with a discuss elbow and Williams with a Discuss elbow smash both at the same time on either side of Goths head. The Ode to Queen Anne Keith calls that.
Andrew Fulton: Cerberus throws Vector into the ropes and drills him with a full powerslam and then Psycho delivers a big spear.
Blake Samuels: Goth reverses an Irish whip from Keith and then whips him right into Osland. Goth then hoists Williams up in an aeroplane spin and makes him kick Osland in the face as he is spinning him around. Goth then plants Keith with a Death Valley Driver.

Blake Samuels: How is that still frozen in the crowd? Did he have a cooler with him?
Andrew Fulton: This is Vegas, anything can happen.
Blake Samuels: So what did you make of Dakota joining the ReVs?
Andrew Fulton: I think it was a great coo and with the KGB imploding from within. They are undoubtedly the number one faction in the World.
Blake Samuels: Running hook clothesline from Osland to Cerberus! I don't think he likes his ‘cooking’.
Andrew Fulton: Leave the jokes to the experts Blake.
Blake Samuels: Osland now with a Saito suplex on Cerberus. Psycho comes for him and Ox catches him and dumps him with a Samoan drop.

Blake Samuels: Goth breaks the submission by hoisting Osland high into the air and dumping him unceremoniously on top of The Ultimate Kingpin!
Andrew Fulton: The hounds grab Goth and throw him to the outside and then follow him out there and double whip him into the steel steps. Marsh then hands them a meat thermometer and Cerberus holds Goth while Psycho stabs him repeatedly with it, opening him up!

Andrew Fulton: "It's the wind."
Blake Samuels: "What wind?"
Andrew Fulton: 'That Blaze is drunk with power. How dare she flip the script last minute and add David Vector and Psychotic Goth to the match! I demand a re-count!"
Blake Samuels: "You're losing it."
Andrew Fulton: "I can't believe the two coolest guys in SWAT just lost their titles to THOSE TWO!!! Argh!"
Blake Samuels: "It was only a matter of time. Their egos are far too big, and eventually one of them was going to flip up. Plain and Simple."
Andrew Fulton: "Whats next. I can't stand to think about this any longer."
Blake Samuels: "The top prize in Northern Pro Wrestling is on the line. Two very capable challengers who have earned this opportunity. Something inside of me thinks that this match is only the beginning!"
Andrew Fulton: "I like that Neo James Carner Guy. He says what he thinks and he isn't going to sugar coat it for anyone. As for Donzig, well, he basically rules SWAT with an Iron Fist. I just happen to be close personal friend of his."
Blake Samuels: "As far as I knew, Donzig doesn't have any friends."

[Let's go to the Ring.]
The lights go down, and suddenly there is an explosion of pyros and lights as the Killers' version of 'Viva Las Vegas' started to blast across the arena.
[...]
A number of red feather clad dancing girls came from the back, flashing huge fans to reveal sequins and glitter as they danced together before forming a chrous line on the ramp. They kicked and spun in a slow circle, before their ranks parted as they continued to sway to the beat. Shaking their feathers, and then more show girls came out, these ones in white and gold, and they formed a row as two of them walked out arm in arm with the rather Ric Flair robed looking Neo James Carner. the girls drew back, and he lifted his arms with another burst of sparks and pyro.
Ring Announcer: Entering the ring at this time, representing the Revenants! The Immaculate Maestro Of A Million Moves, he is NEEEEEEEEEEEO JAMES CAAAAAAARNERRRRRR!
The fans chant 'REV IT UP!' as the show girls help NJC get the robes off, and he smirks as he watches them go before he heads down the ramp. He climbs inside of the ring, shaking his head with a smirk before he leans back against the ropes to wait.
The Ring announcer shrugs, and steps back to the middle of the ring.
But before he can speak, the lights die to plunge the arena into blackness. A burst of flames, and the lights return an angry red.
One gets the impression, that Donzig flubbed the cues as he bursts from the back to glare at the fans from behind his mask. He stands at the top of the ramp, tearing off his long leather coat before he stalks back and forth. Swearing and cursing at the fans from behind his mask.
Ring Announcer: Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! He is the man who broke Paul Soutter, he is called the King in the North! They call him the Scooooooourge! THIS IS DOOOOOOOOOONZIG!
Donzig is clearly in a fury, reaching up to remove his mask before he heads down the ramp as the fans jeer. He pauses at the bottom passing the mask to an attendant, before lifting his head to let his eyes narrow on the SWAT private box behind the fans. His ire now clearly directed at Blaze Freya before he spits, and grabs the bottom rope to slide into the ring. He shoves the ring announcer aside, and points at Neo James Carner.
He is yelling, and Neo James Carner smirks with a shake of his head before Donzig walks over to the corner to lean back in it with a snort. His eyes narrowed on the ramp, and the ring announcer moves forward again.
Ring Announcer: And their opponent, he is the reigning and defending North American Double Crown Champion! He is the Canadian Nightmare! They call him the MURDER LIZARD! JESSE JAMESTER!
[...]
Music blares over the sound system of the arena. Green and white lights to flicker down on a circle near the entrance. Out steps the long haired grizzly vet, Jesse Jamester. Dressed in his black tights, knee brace on his left leg visible, white boots with black laces, with signature pistols on each boot, and pistols crossing on his crotch with the initials "JJ" between them. Fists taped up, black elbow pad on his right arm, the tattooed and scars visible from neck to abdomen. Around his waist is the North American Double Crown Championship, shining under the lights, as Jesse Jamester takes his walk to the ring, soaking in the crowd's reception of him.
As he approaches the ring side area, he steps up on the second step of the ring steps, cracking his neck, shrugging the shoulders, he grabs the middle rope and steps between them, gliding into the ring in a fluid motion. He throws his fists up for a fight, before raising both arms up over his head as he leans on the ropes facing the fans. Music begins to fade out.
North American Double Crown
Triple Threat
No Time Limit
Jesse Jamester (c) vs. Neo James Carner vs. Donzig
The fans in Las Vegas were clearly in the corner of Jesse Jamester as the three men faced off in the ring, the referee looking not at all happy to be stuck in the center of this match. Neo James Carner was looking between Donzig and the Canadian Nightmare, and Jesse was urging the pair onward.
Donzig as always looked bored, and took his eyes off the other two for a minute to throw a string of curses at the crowd. They booed in response, and Donzig smirked before he looked back to the pair.
NJC muttered something to Donzig, jerking his head at Jesse. And then the pair ran at the big man, throwing wild punches as they shoved him into the corner. They stomped away at him, and then Neo James Carner drew back to lift his arms in triumph. Mocking the crowd it seemed who was booing the double team.
Jesse Jamester needed no invitation to take the opening, surging to his feet with a roar to fairly throw Donzig to the outside. Then he grabbed Carner, flinging him into the corner before he started to throw stiff chops that drew loud cheers from the fans. He glared angrily, and then moved backwards to run into the corner with a huge boot driven into NJC's face.
The Rev staggered, and dropped to the mat as Jesse glared at him. But Donzig slithered back into the ring, chair in hand as he launched himself at Jesse as he turned at the roar of the fans. The chair cracked across his back once, then twice, and Donzig went for a third before Jesse ripped it away.
Donzig barely ducked out of the way of the return swing that almost took off his head. And he started driving stiff kicks into Jesse's leg, hammering at his thigh and knees before Jesse came around again to slam a huge fist into that snarling face. Donzig fell backwards, shaking his head as Jesse lifted the chair over his head.
But NJC grabbed the chair, jerking it away before he lifted it again. But the King of Violence had clearly gotten tired of this nonsense, and his fist slammed into the chair. It cracked into Carner's face, and the Rev fell as the fans went wild. Jesse glared down at him, then hauled him to his feet to deliver a brutal looking Snap Suplex into the chair.
But Donzig wasted no time, running at Jesse to start battering him with fists and elbows. Jesse shoved him backwards, and grabbed Donzig by the throat as he came back in. He shoved him towards the corner, but Donzig came back in with a clothesline! The fans booed, and Jesse stumbled a step before he was hit with another clothesline.
Jesse shook his head, a hand lifting as Donzig hit the ropes to come in for a third. But this time, Jesse grabbed Donzig to flip him backwards with a huge modified T-bone Suplex! The place exploded, and Jesse grabbed for the chair.
But Neo James Carner was waiting, and rolled him up out of nowhere.

And Jesse kicked out, rolling back to his feet to glare at the Revenant. NJC wasted no time, and he came in with a huge axe kick as Jesse rose. He then ran across the ring, nailing Donzig with a Spinning Hangman Neckbreaker. Donzig dropped, and Neo James Carner wasted no time in running back across the ring to send Jesse crashing down with a chop block.
The fans booed, and Neo James Carner went for the armbar! But Donzig ran across the ring, and hit him with a running knee. NJC bounced into the ropes, and Donzig leapt on him throwing punch after punch with a stream of curses. He drove NJC into the corner, and then bent down to bite at his eyebrow.
Ripping and tearing as NJC howled, and tried to get away.
Jesse of course, had seen enough and ran across the ring to grab Donzig from behind. And he spun him around, throwing a few elbows into the face of the Scourge before he hit a Russian Leg Sweep that sent Donzig sprawling.
Donzig rolled to the outside, and Jesse turned his attention to the rising Neo James Carner who was checking at his face. He ran in, smashing elbow into his face before he ripped him away from the ropes to nail a Snap Brainbuster!
NJC was out, and Jesse went for the cover.

And the Ref was yanked to the outside, dropped with a punch as Donzig sneered at the King of Violence. He wagged a finger, screaming 'No, no, no!' as the fans booed.
Jesse glared at him, then moved to climb to the outside. Donzig ran at him, battering away at the Canadian Nightmare before Jesse shoved him backwards into the barricade. The fans cheered, and Jesse ran in firing off big rights and lefts before he grabbed Donzig to fling him towards the stairs.
But Donzig reversed, and Jesse crashed into the stairs with a loud boom as the fans booed. The Scourge flipped them off, and turned back to his business only to be levelled by a dive between the ropes by NJC!
All three men were down, and the fans were going wild.
Carner was up first, and he delivered a few stomps to Donzig before he turned his attention to the rising Jesse. He ran forward, and hit one of the stairs to drive a huge forearm into Jesse's face. The fans exploded in boos, and Carner kipped up before he grabbed Jesse's knee to deliver a few hard stomps on it.
He was clearly enjoying punishing the King of Violence, and mocked the crowd as he dragged him over to the stairs. He laid Jesse's arm across it, and then started to lift te other part of the stairs.
But Donzig cracked a kendo stick across his back, the stairs dropped away. Carner turned, and the stick snapped across his chest with two quick shots. He howled, stumbling away as Donzig chased him cracking the stick across his head.
Carner turned to fight, going to trap the stick between his arm and his body. But Donzig yanked it forward, slamming an elbow into his face. The fans seemed to like that, and Carner fell against the ring before dropping.
Donzig ran at Jesse as he rose, and dropped a hard elbow as he drove the kendo stick into his back. And Jesse howled, Donzig wasted no time in shoving it across his mouth to force it open. Yanking the Canadian's Nightmare's head back, arching his neck as he jerked from side to side violently. Jesse clawed at his hands, grabbing at the stick to try and force it back.
The hold was released and Jesse rubbed at his jaw as he started to rise, grabbing the stick. But Donzig was ready, and he dove off the ring to nail a huge Tornado DDT! The King of Violence was down, and Donzig rose to his feet laughing wildly before he ran to drive a huge knee into Neo James Carner.
Then he settled onto the edge of the ring, clapping his own back before he slid off.
He walked back and forth, clearly scheming before he started to tear back the mat on the floor. Exposing the cement floor before he spat, and he grabbed NJC to drag him over as he looked back at the exposed concrete.
'NPW! NPW! NPW!'
The King of Violence charged in, grabbing Donzig to fling him at the barricade. He grabbed him again, roaring in rage as he flung him at the side of the apron before he grabbed his head to charge the Scourge head first into the ring post!
The place exploded, and Donzig sprawled against the barricade as blood ran down his head. Jesse dragged him to his feet, and dropped him hard on the apron before he threw him inside.
Jesse Jamester rolled inside, and he threw his fists in the air before he crouched down in the corner as he waited for the Lord of Chaos to rise.
RUNNING KNEE!
Donzig is sent falling to the mat, and Jesse walks back over only to hit with a huge Polish Hammer from Neo James Carner who dives over the ropes. That blow followed by another, and then he turns before Neo James Carner goes for a belly to bell suplex! The place explodes in boos, and NJC smirks as he grabs Jesse's arm to lock on the armbar!
The Canadian Nightmare claws for the ropes, yanking himself forward as the fans urge the Champion on.
But Donzig is back on his feet, and runs forward before dropping a huge elbow on NJC's head.
Donzig looks back and forth, and then runs to jump off the middle rope to crash down on NJC with a Middle Rope Lionsault!
He makes the cover, but the Ref is slowly climbing to his feet on the outside.
Jesse Jamester is back on his feet, holding his shoulder before Donzig runs at him with a scream of rage. But Jesse grabs him, nailing a thunderous Tilt-a-Whirl Slam! The place explodes in cheers, and Donzig falls to the outside.
The Champion glares at Carner, then walks across the ring to lock on the Maker of Madness! The fans eat it up, cheering as Jesse yanks back on Carner's legs, knee planted in his back as he tightens the hold.
Carner howls, and reaches for the ropes but finally starts to tap!
BUT THE REF STILL ON THE OUTSIDE DOESN'T SEE IT!
Jesse swears, still maintaining the hold as he shouts at the ref. But Carner snags the forgotten chair, and wildly starts swinging back over his shoulders to batter at Jesse. The hold is broken, and the Champion stumbles only to be driven to knees by a shot across his spine.
Carner makes his move, locking on the Dragon Sleeper! He yanks Jesse backwards, ripping him backwards as he hooks the legs as he deepens the hold. Jesse grabs for the ropes, but Carner drags him backwards as the ref finally slides inside.
And then Donzig grabs Carner from the outside, dragging his head under the ropes before hammering a few elbows into his face before the hold is broken.
The fans give a mixed cheer as Donzig yanks Carner to the outside, hauling him to his feet before he buries his boot in his stomach before he nails the Event Horizon! This time the crowd pops, and Donzig ducks under the ring again!
And he comes out with a bat wrapped in barbed wire, that he holds in the air before slamming it against the floor. Then he cracks it across the back of the slowly rising NJC, blood flowing before he rolls inside.
Jesse is back on his feet, and motions for Donzig to bring it on! And the Scourge snarls, and the bat swings wildly battering Jesse backwards as the Canadian Nightmare covers up. Blood welling up from his arms and shoulders, and then Donzig nearly clobbers the ref as he pressed him into the corner.
Jesse's hand snaps upward, grabbing the bat to tear it away from his grasp as the fans cheer wildly. And then the Bat is snapped across Donzig's head, and the Scourge stumbles before Jesse starts laying across his back with it. The place is going wild now, and Jesse hooks it across his chest and neck before hitting a huge Russian Leg Sweep!
He goes for the pin, and the ref dives for the count!

DONZIG KICKS OUT!
Jesse looks at the stunned ref, and the fans chant NPW as he rises to his feet. He rolls to the outside, and reaches under the ring to drag out a table. He flings it inside, and then starts to sit it up.
The fans approve, and Jesse hauls Donzig upwards to slam him down over it! The Scourge is bleeding and battered, but the Canadian Nightmare knows what he is up against. He climbs the turnbuckle, pointing at Donzig before he goes for the Frozen Fear!
But NJC is on the outside, and shoves Jesse off to land on the floor with a crash. The place goes wild with boos, and the Man of a Million Moves leaps to the turnbuckle with ill intentions.
NJC leaps off, attempting a moonsault as the fans cheer!
BUT HE CRASHES THROUGH THE TABLE AS DONZIG ROLLS OFF!
Carner holds at his ribs, kicking his feet as he struggles to rise. Donzig shakes his bloodied head, spitting before he grabs his legs to lock on the Pennsylvania Cloverleaf! He leans backwards, screaming at the ref as NJC claws at the mat trying to break the hold!
The place is going nuts, but here comes the Canadian Nightmare! His boot sending Donzig sprawling as he storms around the ring, grabbing NJC first to lift him for the Jesterplex!
The ring shakes, and then he turns to grab the rising Donzig for another!
The fans go wild, cheering for Jesse as he drags them together before piling them up for the cover!

KICKOUT!
'FIGHT FOREVER! FIGHT FOREVER!'
Jesse shakes his head, clearly stunned as he hauls NJC upwards before flinging him at the ropes before turning him inside out with a huge clothesline. The fans pop, and then he turns only to be caught with lowblow by Donzig! The Scourge laughs, cackling as he wipes blood from his face before he walks over to grab the bat. He starts ripping barbed wire from the bat, tearing it away as he swears.
He holds the tangled length of wire over his head, and then runs over to start tearing and gouging at Jesse through his mask. Trying to tangle it around his throat, and then the Champion's head snaps forward. Head butting him, that blow followed by another before Donzig drops back.
Jesse grabs the barbed wire, and starts to wrap it around his forearms with a glare. He then grabs Donzig locking on the Nemesis Lock as the fans go crazy! They are on their feet, and the Scourge howls as he claws at the mat. Pulling his way forward slowly for the ropes, but Jesse's foot stops him.
Donzig is starting to fade, but NJC runs across the ring to drive a knee into Jesse's head to break the hold! The fans sigh, booing as NJC shoves Donzig to the outside before he turns to motion for Jesse to rise.
SYMPHO-KNEE!
Jesse drops, and NJC makes the cover as the fans boo!

Jesse kicks out! Jesse kicks out!
The fans are on their feet, and NJC grabs at the ref. He is fuming, swearing and shaking the ref before pushing him away. And he turns back to Jesse, but Donzig grabs his leg to tear him from the ring.
NJC lands, and turns around only to planted with a DDT on the exposed concrete! He is busted open, and the fans chant 'HOLY SHIT!' as he sprawls. Donzig grins, spitting blood as his eyes lock on the rising Jesse.
He rolls inside, and the Scourge faces off with the King of Violence once more before Donzig lifts a finger to beckon the bigger man on. His eyes are wild with hate and bloodlust, and Jesse roars as he charges in. Throwing punches and kicks, shoving Donzig towards the corner as the fans eat it up.
But Donzig turns back, pushing Jesse into the corner before he starts throwing huge rights of his own. Then Donzig backs up, screaming as he grabs Jesse to nail a 25:17 on the steel chair.
Jesse sprawls on the mat, and Donzig wipes a hand across his mouth before he climbs the ropes. He glares at the fans, and then dives off with a huge elbow drop!

NJC Makes the SAVE!!
Donzig is livid! But how does he have left in the tank> He went all out for that elbow drop and that should've been it! He should be the New North American Double Crown!
NJC shoves Donzig off, and now he's going for the cover!
This is a travesty.

2
NO!!
Donzig makes the save! Jesse is really out of it here, as he could've been pinned twice by that effort from Donzig. Now the Scourge and The Greyhound are both getting to their feet. Both men want to claim the championship and earn themselves the top spot within Northern Pro Wrestling. Both men would make tremendous champions, much to Gus Arnold's chagrin.
Right hand from Donzig.
Right Hand From Neo.
Right Hand From Donzig.
Neo is buckled!
Stunner coming up, but Neo pushes him away.
WHACK!
Superkick from Neo drops Donzig. Neo follows it up, looking for a Brain Buster, but Donzig slips out of it. Kick to the gut..
STUNNER!!
He got it all!!
JESTERPLEX!
Jesse crept back into the fray and hit Donzig with it right after he hit NJC with the stunner. That took a lot of effort and Jesse is clearing wearing the beating he has taken thus far tonight as he is laying on the mat, trying to foster up the energy to make the cover. Neo is out, Donzig is out, and Jesse isn't much better.
Jesse looking down at Neo, we see him talk about a bounty! How he has felt over these past six months with all of the violence he has had to endure. His family has been put in the hospital and it's all coming to a head. Jesse is firmly locked in on Neo here, as Donzig is starting to get to his feet. Jesse tosses Donzig over the top rope.
DEADMAN"S GRAVE!! Jesse just picked up Neo and drove him to the mat full force. Jesse slumps over top of him

3!
He did it! Somehow, Jesse Jamester has retained the North American Double Crown.
Donzig hears the bell and looks up in a panic, which quickly turns to disgust!
The referee is handed The North American Double Crown to Jesse.
STUNNER!
OH MY!
Donzig just stunned Jesse into next week. The Scourge picks up the North American Double Crown. The crowd is livid. Donzig uses the gold plates as a mirror to marvel in his madness. Donzig smiles and rubs his chin, before dropping the title down on the fallen 'Murder Lizard' who is laying motionless in the middle of the ring.
Donzig has been chasing Jesse for months now. They finally get to have their moment in the ring, and Jesse is able to prevail and retain his championship. Neo James Carner was game, and certainly made a statement as a major player in the CWA. One has to believe that he's in line for major opportunities. But for now, we watch as Donzig is the only man standing at the moment. The referee is finally able to usher Donzig away, but the damage has been done.
No Celebration.
No Glory.
No Parade.
Donzig has seen to that. He's the only one still standing. Donzig looks at the chaos and rubs his hands together.
"It's only a matter of Time Gus."
Donzig grabbed a ringside camera and spoke to the NPW owner.
"Look at your boy now."
The referee is finally successful in ushering Donzig out of the ring. His message was sent, and it appears as though he will stop at nothing until he gets his hands on Jesse Jamester in a 1 on 1 match. With the Cruiserweight Cup being his next conquest, it's safe to say it'll be a few weeks away before it can logistically take place. In the interim, The North American Double Crown resides with Jesse Jamester. But one thing is clear - he's a hunted man. The talent pool in Northern Pro Wrestling have their eyes fixated on his championship and they're coming for him.
[Cut.]
Andrew Fulton: "I love Donzig. He's the best wrestler in the world.
Blake Samuels: "He's psychotic."
Andrew Fulton: "That might be true but he backs up his words with action. He had this match won, and Jesse was fortunate. His days are numbered."
Blake Samuels: "I beg to differ. I've had the privilege of watching Jesse overcome all odds over the past year to rightfully stake his claim at the top of Northern Pro Wrestling.
Andrew Fulton: "Gus Arnold better put these two men in the ring together for a 1 on 1. The fans demand it!"
Blake Samuels: "I'm impressed with Neo James Carner. He showed me a lot tonight and in the lead up to this contest. He is someone to watch in 2022, as I believe it's only a matter of time before he has championship gold around his waist."

MAIN EVENT
Continental Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship
No Time Limit
Chris Card vs. Jeff Andrews
Blake Samuels: It’s that time, Andrew.
Andrew Fulton: It’s that time, Blake.
Blake Samuels: From our departure from the XHF to now, it’s been a long road. We left a lot of good talent behind in the switch, but we’ve picked up some amazing new talent along the way.
Andrew Fulton: Some big time favorites fell along the way here in this tournament, mate. Keith Williams, my boy Timeless, even that crazy damn Donzig. Nah man, tonight, at the end here, it’s down to two men. Chris Card, and Jeff Andrews.
Blake Samuels: And in the lead-up to this event, did anyone expect this to be their final bracket? No slight against either of those two men, they weren’t favorites going in, but Andrew, I think it’s a testament to the new start we’ve got here. Chris Card came with us during the split, he was tremendously successful in the AWF. Jeff Andrews never wrestled a match in the XHF, but he’s ended up as one of the main men in every circle he’s joined.
Andrew Fulton: Enough talking Blakey-boy. It’s time to get this main event started. Take it away, Delilah!
Delilah Massey: The following contest is set for one fall, with no time limit, and it is to crown the FIRST EVER CWA WORLD CHAMPION! Introducing first, representing Deadman Crossing Wrestling!
[“Gods and Punks” by Monster Magnet begins to play, but it starts with the slower intro section that Jeff Andrews’ entrance usually skips.]
♫ When ya mind goes blank in the pouring rain ♫
♫ And you can’t get back on your feet again ♫
[Jeff Andrews walks out onto the stage and drops to one knee, stretching his arms to his sides. Nodding his head in time to the music at first, he speeds up, headbanging…]
Delilah Massey: He hails from Deadman Crossing, Ohio, by way of Baltimore, Maryland, and weighs in at 243 lbs…! He is JJJJJJJJEFFFF…. AAAAAAAANNNNNNDREWWSSS!!
[As the drums and bass kick in and the flashpots go off, Jeff Andrews jumps to his feet, brings his arms down with a snap, and spits a blast of water into the air. Back to normal, he stomp-marches down to ringside.]
♫ I’m a stoned jet fighter with a heart of gold ♫
♫ And I rule this planet from high above ♫
♫ And I take what I take because I want what I want ♫
♫ Tonight I’m gonna rock with the Gods and Punks ♫
♫ GET DOWN! ♫
[Andrews slides into the ring, diagonal bolts into the front rope, rebounds off the back rope at full speed, then leaps to pose on the second and top rope of the front, yelling to the fans as the guitar solo shreds and a wall of golden pyros go off behind him. He throws his leather jacket down to ringside and moonsaults from the top rope back into the ring.]
[Monster Magnet fades, and the vocals of Kobra Paige sear the sound system as “Burn” by Kobra and the Lotus plays.]
♫ I really hate you, yes I do ♫
♫ I hate the way I second guess myself with you ♫
♫ And I’m losing all control… ♫
♫ And I’m losing all control… ♫
♫ LET IT BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND! ♫
[As the first line of the chorus hits a line of purple and white pyrotechnics bursts out from the stage. Chris Card steps through the curtain and steps casually down the entrance ramp.]
Delilah Massey: And his opponent! Fighting out of one of Canada’s richest postcodes, the beautiful Rosedale neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, he weighed in tonight at one hundred kilograms and stands one meter ninety tall and if you don’t understand the metric system, get with the 21st century. He is known world wide as Technical Perfection and the Real Man’s Wrestler and he is very…
BOOOOOOOOO!
Delilah Massey: VERY!...good at what he does. CHRIS “BIG MATCH” CAAAAAAAAARD!
♫ Let it burn! Burn to the ground! ♫
♫ I desire to watch you…♫
♫ Burn! Destroy the crown! ♫
♫ From the hate you’ve tied and bound! ♫
[On the shout of Burn this time, Card crosses his heart with an X using both thumbs and pyro shoots off from the turnbuckle. Card smiles smugly at the hard camera and soaks in the booing of the crowd.]
Blake Samuels: It’s finally time.
[Card and Andrews shuffle towards each other.
Blake Samuels: Look at them approaching each other shoulders-first. The men actually have similar styles. Card trained in Muy Thai, Andrews in Kenpo Karate. Card likely the better of the two on the ground, Andrews, despite being bigger, probably the better high flyer. Andrews definitely the stronger of the two, but Card’s made a career of focusing on technical expertise over power.
Andrew Fulton: So who do you think’s got more in the tank? Card after Riot did all those horrible things to his joints? Or Andrews after he got clobbered by that ol’ lumpy Idaho boy?
[There’ve been a few feints between the two men. The fans are getting louder. Andrews beckons them with his hand, Card looks irritated by it all.]
[And then…]
Blake Samuels: Collar and elbow tie-up! Both men jockeying for position, Andrews takes the advantage, no, Card arm-whips him to the mat! Hammerlock! Mounted knee strikes to the ribs!
Andrew Fulton: He’s taking advantage of the Jeffer’s impatience and he’s gotta do that, but ol’ surly-bones is out!
[In fact, Andrews is out quickly and easily. He hooks Card’s neck, shifts his weight back, then forward, then he spins out the side with his own hammerlock. He whips Card off the ropes and roundhouse kicks him across the ribs as he rebounds. Card’s lifted into the air and lands on all fours.]
Blake Samuels: And Andrews goes to the ribs, Card’s favorite strategy!
Andrew Fulton: Card MAY want to switch it up a little. I mean, they got the same skills but Andrews is more bigly, if Card trades shots he might be in trouble.
[Andrews, though, is entirely ready to turn the match into a brawl. He lifts Card up in a bearhug and spears them both into the corner. Repeated shoulders to the ribs, then a cross ring whip with a follow-up backsplash! Andrews bounces out of the corner fast, Card slower, and Andrews hooks him and executes a fall away slam! Rolling backwards to his feet, Andrews hits a standing moonsault into a pin!]
ONE… TWKICKOUT!
Blake Samuels: About one and three quarters on the fast pin, but Andrews has a good idea of it.
[Andrews pulls Card up to his feet and lays in a couple open hand slaps. Card ducks the third one and spins into a sole butt, doubling Andrews over. A European uppercut lands and sends Andrews stumbling back. Card sends him reeling back into the turnbuckle with a Teep kick, otherwise known as a front push kick. Andrews is sent back into the corner and Card follows him in with a jumping double knee. He clinches Andrews neck while in mid-air, drops with the grip still on, and maneuvers his way into a position where he can deliver a series of Thai knees to the ribs.]
Blake Samuels: And this, folks, is how Chris Card goes to work.
Andrew Fulton: Hey Blake, did you ever hear the one about the crusader and the turk talking swords? The turk challenged the crusader to cut a silk scarf in half with his sword and the crusader couldn’t do it. Anyway, that’s Card’s style. He’s willing to sacrifice power for being able to land a precise shot.
[Andrews finally intercepts a knee. It’s tough - Card’s knees are quick. Once he gets a leg hooked though, he falls backwards, flapjacking Card into the turnbuckle. Card is knocked backwards, Andrews pushes the man’s legs to roll him to his knees and then clobbers him with a chest tap, before hitting the far ropes and rebounding with a spinal tap! Andrews can’t resist the urge to mug to the fans a bit, and this gives Card a chance to roll to the ring apron. As Andrews moves in on him, Card shoulderblocks him through the ropes, pulls Andrews’ upper body over the middle rope and smacks him on the back of the head with a heel drop!]
OHHHHHHHHH!!!
Blake Samuels: That shot echoed, and it’s a perfect example of Card using those smaller shots, not fretting over Andrews being able to shrug them off, and then landing a vicious one when he got the chance. Shots to the back of the head aren’t even legal in boxing and MMA for good reason, they’re a concussion waiting to happen.
Andrew Fulton: One, if there’s grass in the yard play ball. Two, do you think Jeff Andrews would notice a concussion?
[Card pulls the elastic part of the ring skirt aside as he pulls Andrews out of the ring, and Andrews ends up standing INSIDE the ring apron. Card goes to work with roundhouse kicks to the body and Andrews, trying to get his leg up to block them, can’t as they’re tangled up in the curtain!]
Blake Samuels: And that’s something that’s done so rarely that you mostly wouldn’t think to watch out for it! Andrews said in the pre match talking that his experience was worth more than Card’s intelligence, but if you can change the game with one rare trick-
Andrew Fulton: And knowing Card, he probably had a list of every trick in the book and looked for the one he hadn’t seen Andrews counter before.
[Andrews has dropped his arms so his biceps are helping distribute the strikes. The ref is yelling at Card to stop. When he finally does, Andrews simply drops, disappearing underneath the ring. Card lifts up the ring skirt, and immediately reels backwards clutching his face.]
[Andrews crawls out from under the ring, clutching his ribs and snarling. He picks Card up as if for a back drop - then runs forward, directly at the turnbuckle. He smashes Card chest and crotch first into the turnbuckle from the outside! The pain causes Card’s legs and arms to contract, causing him to bearhug the turnbuckle - and setting Andrews up to execute a neckbreaker to take Card down to the floor!]
Blake Samuels: You know, one of the various monikers Andrews tried on that didn’t quite catch was “The Old King of New School.” I’m not saying it’s great, but he can be surprisingly innovative.
Andrew Fulton: Thing is tho, look at him panting, and he’s forgotten to stick to the ribs. Or maybe he decided to start Jeffing and is deliberately ignoring the ribs now, because… hell Blake I don’t know, you know him better than I do.
[Andrews throws Card back into the ring, interrupting the count. He drags Card so that his head is hanging off the ring apron. He backs off, and throws a superkick! …that misses by a hair as Card, sensing the danger, pulls himself back into the ring. Obviously frustrated that he missed Andrews dives into the ring, straight into a front chancery. He still easily bulls his way to his feet, but as he drives Card back he gives him a chance to lay another Thai knee into the ribcage. After all the punishment Andrews has taken, this one stuns him, and Card delivers a spinning backfirst to the head. Andrews doesn’t fall. He whips his head back around to stare Card down.]
[Card quickly hits a double chop to the throat and another spinning backfist.]
Andrew Fulton: That’s that preparation of Card again. He knows Andrews is a double-tough man, but he’s not the type to let a no-sell rattle him too badly, and he just takes it as an opening.
[Card finishes his combo with a spinning crescent kick, sending Andrews to the mat.]
Blake Samuels: Ironically, Andrews’ old tag partner Kai Scott was a huge fan of the crescent kick. Andrews down and Card makes his first cover of the night!
ONE…!
…TWO…!
……THRKICKOUT!
[Andrews sits up swinging. Card doesn’t even flinch, knowing he’s out of reach of them, and knocks Andrews back to the mat with another sole butt. He sits down behind Andrews, twists one arm into a hammerlock, the other applies a dragon sleeper. Instead of the traditional bodyscissor, though, he uses a single leg grapevine and, with his free leg, begins driving the best axe kicks he can manage from the awkward position into Andrews’ ribs!]
Andrew Fulton: So question Blakey-boy. How many times has Andrews lost a match by submission?
Blake Samuels: I…? Goodness, not very often, and it would’ve been years ago to people I don’t even know much about. I’m not saying he’s never tapped, but I can’t think of a specific instance he did.
[Jeff Andrews, though, isn’t entirely a slouch on the mat. With his free arm he pushes down on Card’s knee, and manages to scissor the leg that was executing the axe kicks. Then he works his arm inside the dragon sleeper. Having systematically taken some of the pressure off, he spins his body in the opposite direction to get his feet on the ropes. Card, to his credit, doesn’t waste time hanging on. Unfortunately for Andrews, he does use the bottom rope to get a bit of a bounce before landing on his ribcage with both knees.]
Blake Samuels: Card is using a modified version of his Cardiac Arrest Beta submission maneuver! How much more punishment can Jeff Andrews take?
Andrew Fulton: You know that better than I do. Hell, I think Card’s starting to frustrate a little bit.
[Card, in fact, is breathing deeply, staring at Andrews in anger as Andrews pulls himself up to a kneeling position with the ropes. You can even see Card mouthing the words ‘focus, focus’ to himself. He starts throwing roundhouse kicks. Andrews blocks the ones to the ribs. He gets his arms up and blocks a shot to his face. Card changes pace and throws a sole butt, but Andrews swats it away. Card stumbles, spins entirely around from the unexpected momentum change, and Andrews slowly gets to his feet. Card is expecting an Andrews haymaker or something. What he doesn’t expect is a slap from Andrews’ leading right hand, followed by a spinning left chop and a wheel kick to the back of the head!]
Andrew Fulton: He’s back in this one!
Blake Samuels: Best case scenario for Card, it’s too little too late, Andrews has taken too many shots to the ribs. Worst case scenario? Andrews realizes it and starts using his brain, and then Card’s got a different kind of beast to deal with.
[In fact, Andrews doesn’t have enough in the tank to do his trademark running attacks and wild swings. He grabs Card by the head and ankle, pulls him off the mat that way, then executes a fisherman’s buster. Instead of going for a cover, Andrews pulls him back up, spins him into a double cutthroat - and Card mule-kicks his way out of an attempt at the Andrews Driver series. The ref yells at Card, who openly asks him if he’s going to end the inaugural World TItle match on a disqualification, before firing off a Calling Card.]
[It’s a superkick.]
[It also gets caught by Andrews, who raises the caught leg up and punches Card square in the dick.]
[Card crumples. Now the ref yells at Andrews. Andrews ignores him. He grabs his own junk and stumbles around, mocking Card, before soccer kicking him on the ribs.]
Andrew Fulton: Great time to go back to that, Jeff, after ignoring it most of the match.
Blake Samuels: He’s not worried about the ribs, he’s going for the Dead Man’s Crossing!
[Indeed, Andrews has begun looking for his submission finisher, but - OF COURSE - Card had it scouted. He forward rolls as Andrews scissors one arm, then turns it into a cradle pin!]
ONE…!
…TWO…!
……THRE…
[Andrews powers out of it and takes Card over with a crucifix pin!]
ONE…!
…TWO…!
……THRE…
[And Card kicks out.]
[Both men get to their feet and both try to get the drop on the other.]
[Card fires off a Calling Card just as Andrews fires off a Kendo Sidekick.]
[Both superkicks land. Not quite flush, but very solidly. Both men collapse.]
Andrew Fulton: Oh my god bro, bro, bro, we can’t have a double count out!
[Andrews is the first to stir, he rolls over holding his ribs. Card is curled up in a ball, and it seems like he might be doing something. However, he starts getting up to his feet sooner, and he’s on them at the count of 7. Andrews is up to one knee when Card falls on him, wrapping him up in a chancery, trying to bowl him over backwards while scissoring a leg.]
Blake Samuels: It’s an attempt at the Omega Choke!
[Card manages to take Andrews down, but Andrews has this scouted. He manages to roll Card over onto his back. His neck still in Card’s grasp but his arms free, he tries to power the smaller man’s shoulders to the mat.]
ONE…!
….TWO…!
……THREE…
[And Andrews falls sideways, coughing and choking!]
Blake Samuels: What the…?
Andrew Fulton: He’s got the Omega Choke locked in! He tapped Riot with it already! Can he get Andrews? He’s… YES HE’S GOT IT! Andrews tapped! Andrews taps!
DING! DING! DING!
[“Burn” by Kobra and the Lotus begins playing. Card drops Andrews and throws his arms up. Golden pyros begin exploding above the ring as golden confetti rains down.]
Delilah Massey: Here is your winner, and the FIRST EVER CWA WORLD CHAMPION! CHRIS! BIG MATCH! CARD!
[Card is beside himself as he clutches the championship belt to his chest before raising it over his head.]
[When he raises it over his head, a little bottle rolls into sight from… somewhere.]
Blake Samuels: Was that…?
[Card swats the thing away.]
[Meanwhile, Andrews has raised his head. His eyes are the color of beetroot.]
Andrew Fulton: My dawg! You know what Card did?
Blake Samuels: What?
Andrew Fulton: He laced the Omega Choke with the pepper spray! Got the bottle in his armpit, set it off right before getting Andrews in the hold! No wonder he tapped!
[Medical has come to the ring, and they begin leading Jeff Andrews up the ramp.]
Blake Samuels: The fans weren’t rooting for Card to begin with, and although I don’t know if what just happened is clear to them, they certainly seem to sense that something was up! Our inaugural champion is getting nothing but vitriol!
Andrew Fulton: I don’t think he cares mate. I think he’s perfectly happy with the way things have turned out.
[Card smugly brushes confetti off his newly won title belt, then fastens it around his own waist.]
BBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
BBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
BBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Blake Samuels: Ladies and Gentlemen… our champion.
Andrew Fulton: Tonight, Blake, they hate him cos they ain’t him. Pepper spray, groin shots, ring apron stuff, when you’re talking World Title, you pull out all the stops. Only difference between Card and Andrews tonight is that Card found a couple extra stops to pull!
Blake Samuels: You’re not wrong, Andrew, but I think our champion is going to answer to what he’s done tonight sooner or later. Fans, we are out of time! Good night, and Merry Christmas.]
[Chris Card stands on the middle rope on the turnbuckle, another wave of confetti falling behind him, the World Championship around his waist.]
♫ I really hate you, yes I do ♫
♫ I hate the way I second guess myself with you ♫
♫ And I’m losing all control… ♫
♫ And I’m losing all control… ♫
♫ LET IT BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND! ♫
[End.]
